I’ve had my 1.6TDI SE since 2018 and in the 5 years and 57000 miles completed it’s been utterly perfect. It drives as well now as it did the day I bought it. It’s led me to have a second Leon for my wife. For the money, I really don’t believe you can buy much better.
You prolly dont care but does any of you know of a trick to get back into an instagram account..? I was stupid forgot the password. I appreciate any help you can give me!
I've had my 2019 Leon Cupra 290 for over 18 months now and still love it. With 18k on the clock it is really loosening up. I was a bit worried about the pops and bangs as I leave for work early and do not want to upset the neighbours but the GPF filter has made it a lot more subdued but can be easily prevoked into some deep pops and dsg bangs but not too loud above 3,500 revs whilst in Cupra Mode and in manual mode on DSG gearbox. I find the suspension even in Cupra setting more comfortable than my old Octavia vRS to be honest and live down a street with speed humps.
Nice review! The most detailed one I could find on the Leon. I just ordered the 1.5 Petrol (150PS) in Xcellence trim. The only down side is that I have to wait 9 weeks - though it could have been worse I guess!
Thanks for the good feedback Nigel 👍 lead times are becoming very long in the UK due to halts in manufacture over the Brexit uncertainty. Enjoy the new Leon ✔
I'm one week into my new Seat Leon Xcellence 2.0 DSG. WOW WOW WOW!!! What a superb car. Not missing old Vauxhall Insignia Elite at all... I thought I would but no. Highly recommended in DSG. Fast as hell.
A great review of the Seat Leon. I am going to have a road test of the 2.0Lt Tsi DSG 5 door and ST in Xcellence Lux trim on Friday. Keep up the great reviews.

This post just caught my eye...I was decided on the Leon 2.0Tdi Excellence lux. I'm off tomorrow to order but the 1.5 T Petrol keeps popping up. MPG is important but so is fun driving. It's just so engrained that diesel good ...petrol bad Mpg wise. I do very little motorway driving, all back roads and 30 40 mph limits. Any thoughts on one against the other? Thanks ☺ NB BOTH 150BHP
Great review. I have a 17 plate se technology 1.6 tdi st. Great work horse and handles 30k miles a year with no problems so far. Apple CarPlay was a well spent £200 option.
I have been living with Leon for over a year now ( 1,4 TSI FR). The car looks stuning (especialy in my orange), but there are also drawbacks and thats mainly build quality. The car is squeeking and ratling as hell, but thats price for it being cheaper than Golf, I suppose.
Standa Najman Hi so you wouldn't reccomend? I'm looking at a 1.4 fr 125 bhp got a golf at the moment that doesn't sqeak or rattle after 4 years is a Leon that much of a step down also is it reliable.
seems that unless you want the base models in each trim section, you'd be better off buying the VW/Audi segment car, Seat do seem to hold back a lot of the better options you'd get standard on VW/Audi/Merc models
The DSG 7 speed auto in my 2019 Leon FR 1.4 150HP started to produce strange sounds after the first 2000 KM which is of course denied by the dealer. The result, the gearbox broke after only 10000 KM, this is no surprising giving the fact the bad DSG history, the dealer acted like it is a normal thing for a new car to happen!!. to be honest, I do not recommend anyone to buy a DSG unless you like to visit the dealer service center quite frequent! and this came from a long ownership of VW group cars.

@@rivervalegroup l would suggest less off just plain black plastic look. They seem a little lacklustre compared to say a VW on which it's based on. Particularly the doors are dull. My wife has just had a new Ateca and even the seats don't have a exciting look to them. P. S. Though my wife is highly satisfied but, she has no artistic aspirations

Great to hear you ordered the FR, its a great variant of the Leon 👍. Thanks for the feedback and enjoy the new car

That's great to hear Mark, glad we could dissect the options and packs for you! 👍
Great review! I have the 2017 2.0 TDI 150ps FR technology. Great motorway cruiser!

Good review, my only criticism being the typing slip in the title (how will it "fare", not "fair").
Hi Asif, many thanks for your feedback. We will take this on-board 👍
Great stuff, thanks for dealing with this so quickly. 😀
Ahhh Electronic handbrake...thanks for the warning, I'll be looking for the older model
Good Review.
Another excellent review 👍
Thanks for the feedback Doc 👌
Good car. Not available in New Zealand. Thumbs up.
So does the SE dynamic technology have full link? Seeing conflicting information everywhere

I prefere the 2.0 litres tdi engine

I find the interior bland in Seats
Which type of interior do you prefer?

The MK8 golf ain't better. I would love the Gti seats though from the Golf. Hmm that's an idea.
