Have owned two previous versions of the Leon and this video just sealed the deal for me. Putting in an ordered for the new Leon with the plugin hybrid engine. Haven’t seen any reviews on the hybrid so hoping for the best.

New Leon is way better looking then Golf. A lot cheaper and better spec too. The only issue is rear suspension. Golf gets better setup on 150hp+ models. Seat only on plug in hybrid and cupras. There should be 190hp petrol model of new Leon, but i bet we won't get it same way we never got previous gen.
Great review it's a grand car only thing that concerns me is the torsion beam rear suspension -is it up to Irish roads?all new leons 150bhp and below have this.Golf 150 tdi however has multilink rear suspension.multilink may only come on the 197bhp tdi fr version of this with the new golf 8 gtd engine ?
congratulations great review. could you tell me how the stock sound system feels (not the beats sound)? How many speakers does it have, where are they positioned and the specific or total watts rms? Some say 6 speakers who 7 and who 8 and who 9 incredible not even seat from certain answers sometimes says 6 sometimes 7 speakers !!!! Tell us if it has 6 speakers: 2 rear woofers with the tweeters above near the opening absolutely empty and fake, 2 forward woofers plus 2 tweeters. Or 7 speakers: as before and an additional central speaker hidden in the dashboard? Or 8 with real tweeters behind but without hidden central speaker in front? Or 9 with everything, 5 at the front and 4 at the back? It is absurd not to find this information certain and to find it all but there is only one truth and what is it?

This was exactly the conversation I had with my Son the other day. Why would you want to pay more for the VW badge, when a Seat Leon is basically the same car. I suppose it comes down to personal preference and whether you don’t mind paying the extra. Would be interested to see the Cupra performance version though.
Still unsure if I want to buy this. Just doesn't look as aggressive as the previous model did. And the alloys look shite in my opinion. Loving the interior though👍
I've just watched your A3 review then to this... i think the Leon is a far better looking car, much more character and more different than anything else. The A3 is boring in comparison, the equivalent of the Golf, very safe design, very good design, but nothing too out there.
Seat are just so much more sexy to me than VW and Skoda. I have an Ibiza, and I've extensively driven a Fabia and a Polo of the same generation as my 2011 one, and honestly I had a better time driving my Ibiza. This Leon is being laser focused into my upgrade path I think :P
I had a 2014 Seat Leon FR in White, that model was the best looking hatch on the road. The new shape is too generic I’m really disappointed after waiting so long. Each to their own I guess 🤷♂️

Speaking to a dealer, they seemed to think we will be getting the 2L 190hp variant
I'm test driving an SE Dynamic but the FR has got some really nice extras it has over the SE Dynamic. So will get the FR if I like it 😀

Leon is also missing matrix led as an option

Is it as comfortable to sit in as a Golf?
Golf has a better suspension compared to certain Leon models but didn’t notice anything remarkable in terms of negative points

Nothing major, just the latest iPhone 11! The cables included do not come with C as standard is my point so you need to purchase additional cables

The golf is definitely worse than the Leon. The Seat any day. The Leon also looks 100% better than the golf.

That’s a good looking version of it alright - nose especially. Behind the wheel of this is very good!
