You are supposed to say "Ola Ola!" (meaning 'Hello' in Spanish) but apparently it's really picky about the accent/way you say it. Those were the 'noises' she was making.
Rear torsion beam suspension (you gotta go VW or Audi equivalent to get independent rear springs!), the voice control system doesn’t work, the hand gestures don’t work, the slider controls are not illuminated so become redundant in the dark, the infotainment system is not easy to use, a lot of the controls revert to factory default when the engine is switched off, the ride is crashy and the build quality is that of cheap plastics especially the door handles, that feel like they’re going to break. But apart from that it’s awesome.......
The four Door handles can be replaced by the upper market versions with leather grip and white stitching. They can be ordered. The software will have had several versions since the review. The sliders really don't matter in the dark and are hittable even by blind peraons. You use the steering wheel controls anyway to change the loudness, or the on off btn to mute.
But why would you want to spend over £31,000 on this when you can just buy a petrol version for just over £20,000? - you would need to drive to the moon on the electric motor to save anything close to that.
Imagine your commute is 20km a day. If you charge the car overnight you spend zero on Petrol. ZERO. You can even programm the charge after midnight so the electricity bill is even lower..
a fantastic car, had one as a curiosity car while my 69 plate leon was in for a service, the ride is much better than on my 69 plate, didnt notice the lack of boot space
I got the plug in. Had to wait tho because of the chip shortages, and the boot space loss means you gotta chop up the body before putting it in, so that’s something to think about if your the kinda man that sets up a funeral director for his week
Yes you can. In both the infotainment system or in the app. I got mine 2 weeks ago, have to say the app works great. Cool is from the app you can turn the heater or the climate controls on and off (even chose temperature) (even if the car is not plugged in, it works with the internal battery)

@@Ipson83CH have you ever charged the battery using the engine? If so, how long would it take from empty to full and how much of a hit would the fuel economy take?
@@BlLLIONAlRE I tried, but it's a non sense, the fuel consumption while charging the battery is very very high. Works best fully charged, obviously owning one involves extra daily planning. All batteries work best when they go through full charge cycles, you’ll cause the battery to prematurely fail otherwise
Up until a few years ago I owned a 14 year old SEAT Altea 2.0 TDi from new which did late 50s MPG easily. All this time and technology later and the MPG is worse and boot space is worse. And prices higher. Don’t get how things are going backwards.
That's diesel for you. It gets bad press but it's punchy and economical. I get 50mpg daily out of my Leon ST 1.6tdi in town and that's an estate. Sometimes nearer 60 on a long run. Phevs are a bit unconvincing in general I feel as the batteries take boot space but don't give a long enough range to make up for the economy lost when the batteries do run out due to the extra weight. Nearly always petrol and petrol without hybrid will get 40-45mpg, add extra weight and that'll dip into the high 30s. You'll use no fuel initially though so that brings it up to about 50mpg. The price you pay to save the planet. For me they're just too expensive and don't make up the difference over a petrol in fuel savings. They're also complicated as you have all the complexity of a modern turbo petrol with additional battery stuff. All this to match the economy of an old diesel. Shows how efficient diesel is. In practice a non phev hybrid seems to give better economy for many.
After this went to an EVM video on how to drive a plug in hybrid. He managed 155mpg over 40 miles out of a Skoda superb plug in hybrid. But you need to know how to optimise the usage and plug it in.
50 miles per gallon you mean? This is 21 liters per 100 km. That's impossible even you drive downhill all the day and carry your car back to the departure point with a truck and drive downhill again to get same average consumption.
i'd rather hear the sound of the car than any music, bt that is the fail on every youtube car test video. As soon as someone starts driving, the music comes in as unnecessary as possible.
