New Guitar Day! Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Darkback Reissue VOS

James and Paul went guitar shopping at GuitarGuitar in Epsom Surrey. During a long fun day trying out a bunch of different guitars, I was expecting to walk away with a shiny new PRS. Whilst there, one of the nice guys who work at GuitarGuitar convinced me to try what he considered one of the best guitars in the shop which was a second-hand Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Goldtop Darkback Reissue VOS. Ive never been a fan of Les Pauls as I always find them either neck or body heavy and always a little throaty sounding, but this one was special. The Studio Rats are core band members Paul Drew on guitar/production/mixing, drummer James Ivey and Dan Hawkins on bass. They collaborate with singers and musicians to produce radio-ready songs.
