It sounds good. But, $5000 good? NOPE. My modded Epiphone Goldtop Standard easily matches it. The ONLY guitar worth several thousand dollars is an original 50's or late 60's Les Paul. Gibson is overcharging people - as usual.
@Aquatic Mullet - They're only relevant to their diehard fans and people addicted to names on headstocks. Heck, my $150 Epiphone Les Paul Special II VE with some budget humbuckers in it that I got off Ebay sounds every bit a Les Paul. I've recorded MANY songs with it!
@@kaitodesire When I was shopping for a new guitar around October-November 2019, I tried recent high-dollar Gibsons along with the mid-range ones. I was allowed to try out the 'Custom Shop' Gibsons like this one. Both the Les Paul and the SG models. I tried them, then the $1000 range ones, then I played the most expensive Epiphones ($400-$600) that they had. There was little to no difference in the sound quality or feel. So, I went with a the Epiphone G400 Pro SG and put some Seymour-Duncans on it. It sounds/plays just as nice as the $5k Gibson.
@@kaitodesire As far as the 1950's-1960's Gibson electrics, no. I DO, however, own a 1960's Gibson LG-0 acoustic. It's decent. But, it's nothing special compared to my other acoustics. There's no magic or rare parts that go into any Gibson. People are paying for a name - nothing more. That's why they're way overpriced.
Finally a video of a GT that isn't just Slash shredding with overdrive on 11.
Although this one makes even that sound good.
This is how dreams look a like ):
You’re making me drool

Do you played one in real?
