With that said, I like Green Irish Tweed in the daytime on occasion (with lighter clothing), and would like to try Viking and Bois Du Portugal sometime soon.

I'm also a long time collecter and fragrance enthusiast. The truth of the matter is yes some fragrances were reformulated it's a well-known fact. Earlier batches 2010,11&12 were very different. if you're a person who's never experienced the earlier batches then obviously you're not going to attest to this fact or you're never going to know what it used to smell like. People who have been there we can attest and we can tell you that it was a thing of beauty and it's very different today. Differences in batches are very real. For those of you who know what I'm talking about it depends on how much you love the smokey batches whether or not you're willing to spend the money. I just purchased a 12e01 and I'm waiting for it to come in the mail. I'll revisit this comment this week🤗 if it's exactly what I remember trust me it's well worth it potent requires less sprays hence will last you a long time and Garner tons of compliments.
I can tell you coming from a guy who owns both vintage and modern batches of aventus there are noticeable difference between vintage to modern for example my 12E01 and 11X02 have that vintage smoke smell on first blast and you don’t get that smell with modern batches the dry downs to me are the only similarities I find because they both have a vanilla birch dry down that everyone loves but is it worth to me spending thousands on a vintage?? For me no but that decision is on the individual. The way I see it years 10-13 vintage years anything after those years smells similar if not identical

Then in early Sept. this place had a great deal on there Aventus flacons so I told myself, "fuck it let's buy this shit." I kid you not, it was love at first sniff! Performance is great, 8+ hours on my skin. Sillage is wonderful! Comes and goes through out the day and just when you thought it was gone, nope you can still smell it in the air. This scent does that. My suggestion is to not break your head over the best batch. Test it, if you like how it works on your skin and have the funds then buy the darn thing. I do own the clones, they don't compare to the real thing. Aventus is a magical juice.
ive sampled some aventus batches but none was strong enough. tried some clones too including the Armaf but they were all horribly synthetic and ordinary smelling. im looking for this sparkling pineapple note high quality that projects well. i dont care about longevity but it has to project at least 3 hrs and ppl around me shd get clear whiffs of it. where can i find the damn thing someone pls tell me im fed up searching

Cool Vid Steve. I have 2 points of view on Aventus. Bottom line, Aventus 2018, smells very different to Aventus 2012 - 2014. I don't think the current batches differ much to each other, but they differ from older batches. What I notice on the forums is that batches that people complain about, end up becoming amazing/grail batches about 3 years later, i.e after they have 'matured' I am 100% certain that Aventus changes over time and that new batches, will improve if left, even for 6 months. The other observation of mine, is that at some point the Patchouli was either massively toned down or completely removed and that has made the fragrance smell very different. So basically I agree in batch variations, but I don't think that there is any noticeable difference between one 2017 batch and another, it's the older bathes versus the newer ones where the variations is apparent.
When I bought my 2014 bottle it smelled really fruity without a lot of smoke and then few months later, even up until now it only got smokier and smokier. Same thing happened with my 2015 and 2016 bottles. So as you and I mentioned, there's more of a maturation-difference to this scent than a batch-thing. They end up smelling awesome either way, Aventus is KING 🙂
No it does’nt. Especially if it’s kept in low temperature environment outside of direct sunlight. I have Fahrenheit and Kouros bottles that are about 30 years old and still smell amazing
When smelling a 2014 Aventus vs a 2020 Aventus we have to remember that 2014 has had years to MATURE. Therefore even if their batches were exactly the same, 2014 would STILL smell different simply bc it’s had so much more time to mature Conclusion: YES! Batch variations are real. But anything after 2014 is WAY more similar than ppl make them out to be.
Exactly the point that a lot of people fail to understand . They finish a bottle that they have had for 4-5 years and expect a brand new 2020 bottle to smell the same . All Aventus takes time to mature
I just got a new bottle F2186 and compared it to my 14A01. Performance is the same but it smells just a lot better. The 2014 lost a lot of the top notes even with my good care of storage… people don’t want to acknowledge this but whatever. No need to trust us fool yourself then I guess

I can’t tell you more about that batch. Honestly I don’t follow the topic intensively. In this video I spoke from my experience and my perception on other people (eg my father and brother in law also wear Aventus). I would just advise you to not get hung up on what everyone tells you. Remember skin chemistry is always different and not everyone’s nose is as “thorough” too. If you really have performance issues try spraying it on top of Molecule 01 / ISO E super OR try Nishane Hacivat or Tiziani Terenzi Orion for a similar experience. Have a nice day ☺️

Creed would be insane if it would turn its cash cow into a dead horse. It will never happen. Just buy (and own) one bottle of Aventus - finish it first - and then buy another one. I'm still enjoying my 75 ml bottle I purchased for 140 euro in December 2015.

I think the fragrange industry is making fragrances alot more fleeting and non offensive as the main theme from the populous seems to be worrying about offensive or overly projecting fragrance this combined with poor skin chemistry or people with naturaly dry skin really feel the effects of modern dilution more than others, I know I personaly do.
This is true for a lot of new releases but I don't think Creed goes through all the hassle of recreating their best selling fragrance at the risk of losing customers with the financial cost that comes with it
Don’t get scared from what you read online. Every authentic Creed Aventus bottle is great. People say they experience batch variations but to my experience this is mostly maturation of the fragrance. As your bottle gets older, base notes tend to come out more. Just go for it enjoy it my friend !
Some days you will only smell it yourself for a couple of hours when in reality the reason for that is that the fragrance is so strong your nose just got tired of it. Happens to all of us. Getting out of the house or doing a little activity to awaken your sense of smell helps at that point. Others will still smell it all day long.

I just wish the madness could stop. People freak out about every new batch that hits the market. I can see why, being such a great versatile and peoplepleasing scent, you’d be scared it gets worse. But I think they don’t want to risk their biggest selling fragrance for a few coins. Maturation and aging of the fragrance on the bottle is a real thing with Aventus, in my experience.
Don’t get me wrong, I hear you, but don’t you think it is reasonable to expect that a perfume is perfect out of the box? Specially when the one that was sampled to me in the same shop that sold me was perfect? If it’s the case that the perfume needs to sit for 3 months then it should do in Creed’s boutique not at the customer’s hands. Also, as you may know there are several cases of users where their Aventus hasn’t changed throughout time, so am I expected to hope for the lottery or just request an older batch or one that has already matured?
All depends on your preference but I hear ya. Should be the same out for anyone right out of the box. As far as I’m concerned though, I still believe this scent is beautiful whatever batch you get. If I were you I’d buy a new one and enjoy it.
Why are two of the bottles different than the other bottle that is out now. The older juice had a greenish hue! The new batches are clear and watered down, other wise they would be green. Not refomulated! They all have the same ingredients! What is changed is the amount of one or more of an ingredient in the various batches. This changes the balance of the notes and is not consistent for the amount of money you are investing, therefore not worth it if you don't know what you are actually getting! Creed should be ashamed of themselves for this practice. The eighteen are lasting two to four hours tops. A RIP off for the price you pay!
Just bought a 100ml 18k11 (pineapple bomb) batch. Performance reaches lame-status around 45mins. I'm told "let it age", but man is it hard accepting my bottle's performance will improve significantly. I just want a more of a smoky batch without it costing me triple the price. I do have to give a shout out to the aventus forum with almost 500 pages of information specifically regarding "Aventus" 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
You were only off by one number. I own the 18k01 and it has a really nice smokey smell in my opinion. It also lacks the pineapple part but instead smells more like dark red'ish berries.

I agree I don't believe in the batch variations. Its a myth. i doubt the variations are significant enough that you could tell the difference unless you have highly trained nose or a professional. I agree older bottles mature over time. Newer bottles will always be fresher. even the 2019 batches will become smoky after few years of maturing. Also Creed changed their atomisers this also makes a difference. in that video Luis also explains how the application can make a difference as well, whether you spray up close or whether you spray from distance. all sorts of subtle nuances. Also if you just showered, or whether its summer or winter. Climate can also affect longevity and the way fragrances smell. Aventus will be more fruity in summer and more smoky in winter. So really batch variations is just a load of bullshit.

No, wrong, zero, fail. I assure you the house of creed does not have that level of variance. All the stuff coming from China does. Please at least once pay full retail or at least order some samples directly from creed so that you’ll know what you’re talking about. Buying retail doesn’t mean squat unless you’re buying directly from Creed. That means it doesn’t go on sale and it’s never discounted. If it’s a discount it’s not real it’s that simple.

The 2015s come close IMO. They don’t have the true smoke of 10-13, but they are very ‘dark’ and offer great performance too

Keep your fragrances in a chiller, because It drastically extends the life of all the notes in your perfume/ fragrance.
The room temperature where they're at is almost constantly at about 15 degrees celcius

The new batches are definitely watered down. I tried a tester it last all day then I get the bottle and it’s 1hr max

Don’t get scared from what you read online. Every authentic Creed Aventus bottle is great. People say they experience batch variations but to my experience this is mostly maturation of the fragrance. As your bottle gets older, base notes tend to come out more. Just go for it enjoy it my friend !

Some days you will only smell it yourself for a couple of hours when in reality the reason for that is that the fragrance is so strong your nose just got tired of it. Happens to all of us. Getting out of the house or doing a little activity to awaken your sense of smell helps at that point. Others will still smell it all day long.

Ok so my 2 cents , i have a flacon 500 ml straight from creed boutique , just got it 2023 anyway hate it , call creed waz getting ready to send it back , lady comvinced me to give it time , on my own i bought a black uv glass bottle amazon , i put juice there now here holy shit this stilll starting to smell so F…. Good , not sure is it black uv glass bottle ? Maybe , is it because starting to mature who knows anyway just wanted to share story be safe all

I just wish the madness could stop. People freak out about every new batch that hits the market. I can see why, being such a great versatile and peoplepleasing scent, you’d be scared it gets worse. But I think they don’t want to risk their biggest selling fragrance for a few coins. Maturation and aging of the fragrance on the bottle is a real thing with Aventus, in my experience.

Don’t get me wrong, I hear you, but don’t you think it is reasonable to expect that a perfume is perfect out of the box? Specially when the one that was sampled to me in the same shop that sold me was perfect?
If it’s the case that the perfume needs to sit for 3 months then it should do in Creed’s boutique not at the customer’s hands.
Also, as you may know there are several cases of users where their Aventus hasn’t changed throughout time, so am I expected to hope for the lottery or just request an older batch or one that has already matured?
All depends on your preference but I hear ya. Should be the same out for anyone right out of the box. As far as I’m concerned though, I still believe this scent is beautiful whatever batch you get. If I were you I’d buy a new one and enjoy it.

Why are two of the bottles different than the other bottle that is out now.
The older juice had a greenish hue! The new batches are clear and watered down, other wise they would be green.

They all have the same ingredients! What is changed is the amount of one or more of an ingredient in the various batches. This changes the balance of the notes and is not consistent for the amount of money you are investing, therefore not worth it if you don't know what you are actually getting! Creed should be ashamed of themselves for this practice. The eighteen are lasting two to four hours tops. A RIP off for the price you pay!

Just bought a 100ml 18k11 (pineapple bomb) batch. Performance reaches lame-status around 45mins. I'm told "let it age", but man is it hard accepting my bottle's performance will improve significantly.
I just want a more of a smoky batch without it costing me triple the price.

You were only off by one number. I own the 18k01 and it has a really nice smokey smell in my opinion. It also lacks the pineapple part but instead smells more like dark red'ish berries.
@@MysticleMonster I started shopping around for smoky aventus clones and found what I was looking for. Fyi -do not try pineapple vintage unless you want to smell of bacon lol. My Aventus has improved but still not as good as my other one. I

I agree I don't believe in the batch variations. Its a myth. i doubt the variations are significant enough that you could tell the difference unless you have highly trained nose or a professional. I agree older bottles mature over time. Newer bottles will always be fresher. even the 2019 batches will become smoky after few years of maturing. Also Creed changed their atomisers this also makes a difference. in that video Luis also explains how the application can make a difference as well, whether you spray up close or whether you spray from distance. all sorts of subtle nuances. Also if you just showered, or whether its summer or winter. Climate can also affect longevity and the way fragrances smell. Aventus will be more fruity in summer and more smoky in winter. So really batch variations is just a load of bullshit.

I assure you the house of creed does not have that level of variance. All the stuff coming from China does. Please at least once pay full retail or at least order some samples directly from creed so that you’ll know what you’re talking about. Buying retail doesn’t mean squat unless you’re buying directly from Creed. That means it doesn’t go on sale and it’s never discounted. If it’s a discount it’s not real it’s that simple.
