Oh I almost forgot. They haven't split up. They're just focusing on solo work, but they're still very much together as a band. They add "of BTS" after their names whenever they're doing their solo work. They've also just celebrated their 10th anniversary these past two weeks. A very big celebration, with Seoul turning purple in their honor and a big festival just today. The festival drew 400,000 people, with 120,000 of them foreigners, all to take part in this birthday bash. Although two members are already in the military, they just released a song by all seven of them, called "Take Two", as an anniversary gift to their fans.
Who the hell those people out there think they split up?!This is what Suga said "so scared, why world told us to split up" When those crazy and lazy media made wrong information, especially western media, they are really messed up last year, after FESTA 2022, out of nowhere those media made that hoax. BTS even give the exact time, 2025 they all will finish their military service and comback (can't wait to go to BTS concert!) They even renewed their contract, but those Media seem didn't spread this information.
A little timeline: June 13, 2013 - BTS debuted June 18, 2013 - J. Cole released Born Sinner July 11, 2013 - BTS released Born Singer, a song about their debut experience A little context: The first two rappers, Suga and RM, were underground rappers before joining BTS and received backlash from the community for joining a boy band. That's why Suga said he hadn't changed, he was still a rapper. Also, the rappers trained for three years before debuting, so that's where that time reference is from. (The singers were signed later on so they had shorter training periods.)
BTS has not spit up. All solo projects are done as the members name followed by the words of BTS. In fact, BTS just had a large 10th anniversary celebration. There have been a few solo collaborations outside their management company, but all members are under BTS contract and HYBE (Big Hit) has been promoting members' solo projects as a prelude to mandatory military enlistment.
For context: this live performance is from 2022, the song they covered back in July 2013. When they mention "3 years ago" they mean 2010, when they were underground rappers and full of dreams as they were being "idols" (part of a boy group, which got them criticism by former friends and fellow rappers). In 2010, the first two that rapped (SUGA and RM) were 17 and 16 years old, for reference. Also, RM changed his lyrics here a bit, making reference to recent hate (in 2022) by Mike Dean (a dumbass, cocky producer), who threw a tantrum against BTS (saying they weren't self made) when he didn't win the grammy he was nominated for (note: BTS weren't nominated in the same category, BTS also didn't win their grammy, but showed a masterpiece of a performance on stage). At 8:15 the original said "to become a rapstar", but he grew, matured from his 19yo self and now he just wants to be the artist he is or can be. Whatever the form that takes. Also the original said "3 years ago" (referencing the underground time 2010), but he changed to 10 years ago (referencing their debut actually 2013). And also he said "29", in the original he says "20". PS. RM does change his lyrics often live (just a sentence or two) which is testament to him writing his stuff and him being able to do it on the spot.

BTS is rare in the fact that always sound better live. I love these guys! I am 62. They are the favorite group/individuals I have know my life time! They each are incredibly talented.
I like it when you not only enjoy the music but pay attention to the lyrics too, the lyrics are very deep and remember the past when they just started their career.
The element that also makes BTS so endearing, is not just their talent...it's their relationships as well. It goes way beyond professional. They consider each other brothers and even have friendship tattoos. They lived together for many years, some of them for as long as 13 years. They went to HS graduations, and the youngest one, Jungkook (JK) was 13 years old when he met RM and decided to sign on with Big Hit because he "feel in love". Which means now at almost 26, he's spent more time with the members than is family and says that they helped raise him. There will be no awkwardness with them coming back together, only relief and an even deeper bond because of the forced time apart.

Im sure tons have added but they haven't split up. Two members are in the military. The service is compulsory. The others took some time to do a solo project, which is a good opportunity to grow, but all will enlist by the end of the year. That way they serve around the same time and get out by mid-2025. They still hang out together and they all live near each other. And they definitely advise and support each other on these solo albums and even go to each other's album promotions. They shouldn't have much to catch up on when they get out of the military. They have all said they are brothers and want to be BTS for life.
Bts just celebrated 10 years since their debut, so they are definitely seasoned artists. The members have known each other longer than that as they trained together for years. Also, they are just on a temporary break for the military service as you mentioned. I grew up listening to J Cole and they certainly did the song justice. I love their rendition. “Split up” isn’t the right term, I believe. They haven’t split up. They are simply pursuing solo projects as they go one at a time to do mandatory military service. BTS have always said they are 7 and will return once they are done with country duty. In separate interviews or talk shows, the boys have always said they want to continue performing as a group. Theirs is a brotherhood probably stronger than many families. We are excited, knowing that what they are pursuing as solo artists now will add to their plate when they come back as a group.
They even want to keep make music and perform on the stages til they old together, when they can't dance anymore, they just want to sit and sing together. Besides their dorm/ house that shared together, their own houses are so close to each other. And still they have this dream, they want to build their own village together, a neighborhood just for them and their family in the clean place with fresh air, they named it "Bangtan's Village" So they can build their future family and growing old together there.
To say BTS is talented as you did at the end here is a very big understatement which you’ll discover if you choose to explore them more. But you’ll also find that they’ve built the most deeply loyal & diverse fanbase in music history not just because of their music. They have an amazing discography of 300+ songs across many genres but they’re incredible performers, lyricists, social commentators, etc. but funny, humble, and just great human beings with a familial bond and an inspiring underdog story. Keep exploring. You won’t ever regret it. There are hundreds of songs to recommend but since you’re J. Cole fans you might want to go back to around 2015 & watch “Hip Hop Lover” (be sure to watch it live with English subs). The channel Enjoy More BTS is a great resource for Eng Sub live performances...they have 2 versions there that I highly recommend checking out. This version from Proof has maturity, but the performances from 2015/17 are filled with passion and pain...they cried on stage even.
Their live performances are epic. They are always singing/rapping live. They have backing track but they always singing and rapping live. I recommend you to watch their "Run BTS" live performances from the Busan concert. They also have a song titled "Run" and Run BTS is also their variety show so it may be confusing a little 😅 But if you type "Run BTS Busan concert" you'll get it😁 Edit: 13:06 They are like family, When they'll be back they will work just fine. All 7 of them lived together for approximately 8 years while they worked tirelessly to create the synergy they have now. They are brothers in every way that matters. I have no doubt they will be back once their military service is over - each one of the members has talked about how they are 7, and that is how they wish to continue. Their discography is over 300, most of which they write and produce themselves. They are so worth the time to get to know them. I could watch you guys again! This was a recording they did last year, 2022 outside of Las Vegas during their Permission to Dance tour. In Vegas alone, they sold out 6 performance dates, not to mention LA. When you stopped the video to question where you had heard, I know, I Know, before it was JHope singing. He loves JCole and has stated had a tremendous influence in his life as well as other members. Once you fall down the BTS Rabbit hole, there is no climbing out. You will see, but just the talent alone X's 7 is insane! I could make many suggestions, but I'd watch the Bangtan 7 by Taylor to get to know them and by comparison watch some of their early hits. It will bring you into what incredible humble artists they are today! 10 years of BTS will give you lots of reaction making content! BTW IMHO I prefer their live performances over their videos! Just note: BTS has, through their ten-year career, sung about social issues, mental health and from-the-heart lyrics. So their message is their own and not inspired by anyone else. No one does what BTS does.

I see you might have listened to Take Two, but i also recommend IDOL or ON (kinetic manifesto film) and those have subtitles :)
They're still a group, they are just doing solo work while they each gradually enlist in S. Korea's military (mandatory), and also I think because they were experiencing some burn out (especially the rappers who write the majority of BTS' songs or at least all the rap parts, but a lot of the vocal parts too). They pre-recorded Take Two as a song for their fan base (ARMY) for their 10th anniversary. They had to have recorded that in 2022 before Jin enlisted in December, and J-Hope enlisted in April 2023 (I think - April or May) because all 7 of them are in it and they didn't release it until June 2023. Fun Fact - they are "brothers"; they all got a "7" tattoo somewhere in 2022 to show that they will always be 7. Prior to that, only Jimin and Jungkook got tattoos (my understanding is that it isn't a very popular thing or is frowned upon in South Korea). Jungkook has a whole sleeve as well as "ARMY" across his hand and a few other small tattoos, and Jimin has the moon phases down his back, the title of one of Suga's songs "Nevermind" across his side/chest, and some other smaller ones like 13 (his birthday as well as their debut date). The rest really weren't into getting tattoos, but they did it to show their commitment to their BTS brotherhood. Anyway, many of them repeatedly say that they hope to be together for another 20, 30, etc. years. Also, J-Cole apparently gave permission for them to include this song on their anthology album called "Proof" that came out mid-2022. They've sung it since 2013, but RM changes the lyrics up some in his rap part. Suga left his the same I believe. Born Singer is Song 1 on CD 1 in the anthology album; that's how much it means to these guys.

It amazed me to see these guys are so sharp individually at the same time work together greatly, they complete each other, sync beautifully, and their dynamic are great. As they said, they are coolest, strongest, can face anything, and reach anything when they are together. They make their solo experience to bring more things to their table.

Even though they've only performed this song 3 times ever it thr track lived only on SoundCloud for 9 years (first album appearance last yr), it's in my top 10 BTS songs. Especially the orig recording and first live performance cuz the emotion was extra raw back then while they were in the midst of battling more hate and trying to find solid ground. Their intention is definitely to reunite after their mandatory military service, yes. Normally, idols wait as long as they can (28/30) to go in unless they've already served before they debut, but when the oldest member of BTS had to enlist their company announced that the rest of the members would be joining "shortly", with the end goal of a 2025 reunion. A wise choice - otherwise it could have taken as long as 7 years before we got to see them all reunited again. The military service is 18-21 months, depending on what branch/type of service, and so far it seems like they're releasing at least one solo song/album/project before enlisting - two members have joined up and at least one more is shortly to follow.

Do you search for the song title with english translations? Usually all you need to do is click on CC on your screen and then touch the settings also on the screen for English CC. It is available with English CC. The stage version is killer also.
They blessed, got so much freedom and places for their creativity, they can do anything (their solo projects) as a part of BTS projects. Whatever they do as solo artists are being under BTS name and BigHit contract, and their own names are followed by BTS (blablabla of BTS) So being promoted by BigHit as BTS projects and posted in BTS social medias, youtube channel, instagram, tiktok, twitter, facebook etc. These are great facilities they get as BTS members, they even can make their own vlog or show or podcast that BTS staff will work for it whatever they want, and it counted as BTS projects and posted and promoted in BTS platforms.

They're still a group, they are just doing solo work while they each gradually enlist in S. Korea's military (mandatory), and also I think because they were experiencing some burn out (especially the rappers who write the majority of BTS' songs or at least all the rap parts, but a lot of the vocal parts too). They pre-recorded Take Two as a song for their fan base (ARMY) for their 10th anniversary. They had to have recorded that in 2022 before Jin enlisted in December, and J-Hope enlisted in April 2023 (I think - April or May) because all 7 of them are in it and they didn't release it until June 2023.
Fun Fact - they are "brothers"; they all got a "7" tattoo somewhere in 2022 to show that they will always be 7. Prior to that, only Jimin and Jungkook got tattoos (my understanding is that it isn't a very popular thing or is frowned upon in South Korea). Jungkook has a whole sleeve as well as "ARMY" across his hand and a few other small tattoos, and Jimin has the moon phases down his back, the title of one of Suga's songs "Nevermind" across his side/chest, and some other smaller ones like 13 (his birthday as well as their debut date). The rest really weren't into getting tattoos, but they did it to show their commitment to their BTS brotherhood. Anyway, many of them repeatedly say that they hope to be together for another 20, 30, etc. years.
Also, J-Cole apparently gave permission for them to include this song on their anthology album called "Proof" that came out mid-2022. They've sung it since 2013, but RM changes the lyrics up some in his rap part. Suga left his the same I believe. Born Singer is Song 1 on CD 1 in the anthology album; that's how much it means to these guys.

It amazed me to see these guys are so sharp individually at the same time work together greatly, they complete each other, sync beautifully, and their dynamic are great. As they said, they are coolest, strongest, can face anything, and reach anything when they are together. They make their solo experience to bring more things to their table.

Guys, they haven't split up--not even for military service; they're still a whole group; they've just released a son called Take Two that they prepared before Jin and j-Hope went into the ARMY
Even though they've only performed this song 3 times ever it thr track lived only on SoundCloud for 9 years (first album appearance last yr), it's in my top 10 BTS songs. Especially the orig recording and first live performance cuz the emotion was extra raw back then while they were in the midst of battling more hate and trying to find solid ground. Glad you guys gave it a chance and liked it!

Their intention is definitely to reunite after their mandatory military service, yes. Normally, idols wait as long as they can (28/30) to go in unless they've already served before they debut, but when the oldest member of BTS had to enlist their company announced that the rest of the members would be joining "shortly", with the end goal of a 2025 reunion.
A wise choice - otherwise it could have taken as long as 7 years before we got to see them all reunited again.
The military service is 18-21 months, depending on what branch/type of service, and so far it seems like they're releasing at least one solo song/album/project before enlisting - two members have joined up and at least one more is shortly to follow.

They blessed, got so much freedom and places for their creativity, they can do anything (their solo projects) as a part of BTS projects. Whatever they do as solo artists are being under BTS name and BigHit contract, and their own names are followed by BTS (blablabla of BTS) So being promoted by BigHit as BTS projects and posted in BTS social medias, youtube channel, instagram, tiktok, twitter, facebook etc. These are great facilities they get as BTS members, they even can make their own vlog or show or podcast that BTS staff will work for it whatever they want, and it counted as BTS projects and posted and promoted in BTS platforms.

U wont believe it bro even just for a having fun's moments for members, they take it as BTS projects.
For example: a member, Jin, really love to fishing, so he just did a little song about fish for fun when he went to fishing with his friends. Here it is, a 1 minute 13 seconds song about Tuna that we got, their staff and team works seriously, even in not seriousness things lol
