Pray to God for me Saint Ephraim ☦️
thanks for posting this. I really love elder ephraim and he has helped me to gain much wisdom through trials and temptations. But I just fell into temptation yesterday and friday after a week of being fully devoted to God and I am so ashamed. But I won't despair I will keep trying to strive for christ no matter how many times I fall.
🙏
Catechumen here and I'm in the same situation.

Why does the thumbnail only includes three flags?
Eastern Orthodox Christians are also in Moldova, Russia, Serbia, Ukraine, etc.
Those flags indicate that the video has subtitles in different languages.

Pray to Christ.
We do. But we are commanded to pray for one another as well; this is non-negotiable. Those that die in Christ are part of the Kingdom; these are His holy saints. Thus, we continue to ask for their intercessions. This is all prayer for the saints is, intercessions.
Unfortunately, your Protestant anger and ignorance prevents you from understanding the theology of the ancient Church. Your Sola Scriptura isn’t even found in Holy Scripture, yet your only argument against us is “show me where in the Bible it says this!”
You should try reading Scripture in its original Greek translation, as virtually ALL your heretical Protestant ideas didn’t even exist until long after the 16th and 17th centuries; the Church, however, was already in existence for over 1,500 years by this point.
Loving God allowing the devil to throw him down a mountain?? As long with the rest of the temptations. I will definitely go to hell
Is not, my dear Brother, what's up to you, but now you react to all that happens in your life. God Is not an Idol to whorship in order to have a normal life. He wants us ti react as Christians
He allows the devil to make us suffer because when we suffer we usually go to God. If we don’t suffer we won’t gain anything
Not necesserily, trials are allowed by God according to the strength and commitment of the one enduring it. And similarly, reward is different for everyone.
As a monk (monastic), he will experience more intense temptations than we usually experience in the world because he has devoted his entire life to God. Therefore, God wouldn't let this happen to just anyone, don't worry.
It's like in the story of Job. The devil took everything from Job, but yet Job still did not curse God. God allowed the devil to act on Job, and Job showed himself to be a true friend in Christ because he did not start blaming God and acting out when life wasn't going his way.
A monastic, once he has fought against temptations to a high degree, yes, may even experience physical fights against the devil. It is again like Job, for him to show that no matter what comes his way in life, the monastic will stick to Christ.
