That's kind of funny... at my local H.F., the Centech model is the same as the Ames in this video, and the Ames model is the same as the Centech.... Strange that they're just reversed like that
Nothing beats or is better than the "Teslong TD500 Endoscope" with a HD 5" screen with articulate camera end! Worth every penny and its amazingly well build and beautiful, perfect for the DIY at home or pro work!

Honestly you get more with Teslong model 5" screen, better resolution, 44' feet of optics and a huge savings. The Ames model at H.F. selling for $179 way overpriced.

Is the blue film left on the mirror? I don't see how to remove, but I also only see a blue screen when using this attachment
Both of mine did have a blue film on the mirror, and it does peel off. I believe it's just to keep it from getting scratched during shipping.
That is definitely 1 hour 52 minutes, not 1 minute 52 seconds, the resolution of this scope is 640x480 (0.3 megapixels 😂)

The cameras interchangeable?
No, ames and cen tech have different fittings.
They WILL interchange IF you change the connector end of the cable. The AMES uses an S-Video style connector, and the Cen-Tec uses a USB-mini style connector.
I bought a 5.5mm Ames cable for my Cen-tec display, and it worked fine after I swapped the cable ends around. There is a tiny Allen set screw that holds the connector into the cable assembly. Loosen the set screw, pull the connector out, then there is 4 wires that will have to be unsoldered from the connector and then resoldered to the to the other connector. I do not remember off-hand which wires went where on the connector, but one wire is a ground, one is power for the LEDs, one is 5 volts for the camera power, and the last one is the display signal from the camera sensor. You can figure out which wire is what with a multimeter before you unsolder them. The black wire is obviously the common ground. The camera power wire will have 5 volts on it, the video signal wire will have approx 1 volt on it, and the LED power wire will vary the voltage when you adjust the light power intensity on the display.
The one on the left is TRASHHH i just bought 1 it is notttt good at allll maybe worth 69$ but dont expect muchhh..i paid 12$ to return it...restocking..i want to see the ames thanks for the video
