In this video I set up some HockeyShot Synethic Ice Revolution Tiles to make a little stickhandling room in my basement. These tiles are awesome, I just wish I had a little more room to be able to skate around a bit.

The urge to shoot is so strong, I would need a drywaller on retainer. :-)
You definitely can cut them to fit the edges there. I have Polyglide tiles. They do wear out the blades faster than ice, but with those, you don’t need to sharpen after every use. Don’t know about the hockey shot ones though.
I set up a pretty small space in my basement too, not skateable tiles, but a spot for my littles to stick handle. You could totally rip down some tiles to fill that gap on a table saw. You may want to consider dropping down something along the baseboard that would protect / or the hs barrier edge on 2 sides and rip the 3rd and 4th sides to make it fit perfectly so it doesn't slide on the hardwood.
@Hockey Training , Any thoughts on a good stick handling progression / sequence for me and my littles to work through in a similar small space?

Nice video! Did you ever find a solution to the tiles sliding? I have a similar issue, since I have a smooth surface garage. I’m not able to really lean into my shots due to the tiles shifting a lot. Thanks for the video!

Do they mess up your skates
Do u need to sharpen ur shares every time u skate on them?
Good question. I would guess that it would be smart to (especially before a game), but I'm not too sure if it's neccessary. I had a game last night and sharpened them before to make sure they were good so I haven't been able to test them out on ice after yet
Speaking of height, where do you have your stick up to on you while your on your jets?
I'll try and remember to check next time I lace em up.. I'm 5'9 and buy the SR sticks without cutting them or adding an extension, but I'll see where that ends up being on me.
Just checked on the weekend and when I'm on skates my stick is just under my nose
