Last king of whole kerala(from mangalore to Kanyakumari) was a Jain king.He visiting Mohammed in Saudi Arabia and allegedly got converted, but couldn't return to India and was killed In oman.His palace with Jain temple is still there in Kodungallur, which was later converted to first mosque of India.His resting place is there in Oman,I think it's a tourist place. Conversion is a controversial thing, because there is no historical record of he converting or he didn't come alive back.His untimely demise without a successor pushed kerala to dark ages with its division into 3 or 4 parts for next 1500 yrs. From time of chandragupta s time in South Karnataka, Kerala kings were all Jains.Infact the population ie the laymen were buddist, but ruling class and king were jains.When India kingdoms were fighting between Jain,buddist or shaivaite or brahminist ideology, Kerala was the place of harmony for both the sraman faiths, until the king of kerala was forced to ask for Arabian alliance to deal with ideological attack from Pandyanadu and which led to his untimely death. I think you should read about this, and this should be added as a part of Jain history.
