It's not a mystery. Disney WANTS to destroy itself. They clearly don't care about the quality of the movies and want them to fail. It's not our problem. Let them crumble.
An unfortunate end result for such a titan of cinema
Do you guys really think a company wants to fail? Be serious
I wouldn't say that.
Disney want to grow. And it thinks all the current customers are morons who will keep buying anything with the Disney label.
To grow on this guaranteed customer base, they also want to appeal to climate activists and LGBTQ activists, because they are morons. So as long as you make something with a climate theme, and some representation, they will also buy everything.
Now, to Disney's surprise, the morons aren't the customers, but the leadership who thinks they can sell garbage to the entire world, as long as they throw in some representation and a Disney logo.
@@angelmarquez5153yes, because then they can sell it off and make money. Also, modern Disney is just about promoting their personal ideologies instead of good stories and entertainment. That's commiting seppuku
@Mr_Robotts I understand what you're saying, but if they want to sell, then they wouldn't lower the company's value
It's not about the money, it's about sending a message
THE message
I love the idea of paying yourself and counting it as income. So, if I transfer $10 for my right charger pocket to my left shoulder pocket, does that mean I now have $20? If so, I should be a millionaire by the end of the week. Disney accounting, don't you? Just love it
Nice work if ya can get it!🌹💎💯
Yeah, both the stooges and Marx brothers had a routine about that. Standing in a circle, paying off debts, and ultimately the money ends up right where it started!
That's how people buy their way into the NY Times' best seller list. Just buy 5k copies of your own book.
Disney reminds me of the character Aerion targaryen aka brightflame.
He thinks that by drinking wildfyre , he will be transformed into a dragon.
Disney ,similarly , thinks that by drinking wokeness, it will change the world.
They are both burning themselves to death.
Really? (the part about turning into a dragon!)
@@MatthewLoh-ru1mwYes. George R. R. Martin wrote that into 'A World of Ice and Fire', which details the world 'A Song of Ice and Fire' novels (which HBO adapted as 'Game of Thrones') is set in.
@@longtsun8286 I see..
They should have recast Indy. Indy was inspired by 007/James Bond and should have carried that tradition instead of letting an elderly man be in denial.
I think Harrison Ford is just too synonymous with the role. I was actually thinking they could've used his age to their benefit. If I was in charge, I would reboot the Young Indiana Jones show. Except I would have Harrison Ford play an older Indiana Jones telling stories of adventures from his younger years to his grandchildren. Just a nice wholesome show in a world of cynicism. Just recast a younger Indiana Jones. So you kind of get both. And then, if they wanted to make movies with the new guy, they could.
Well I just hope that when they finally go out of business they can return all that stolen land they keep going on about to the Indians
What stolen land? This is the 1st time I've heard about ut
IIRC, those numbers are just off the projected budgets, not the actual budgets. Nor do they include the marketing. So things are even more hilarious.
What a BOMBshell of a year.
Kingdom of the Chrystal Skull was atrocious. It was SO bad.
It's not about the money, it's about sending a woke message. -Disney
Why do they care?
@@PeterParker-ff7ub because they were indoctrinated in college and it is their identity. Without wokeness they have nothing. It is their entire identity.
@@PeterParker-ff7ub Because wokeness is their religion and they must spread the "message" of their faith no matter the cost.
No, only the corporates people are saying that, NOT Disney per se
Any film conglomerate woudve filed a chapter 11 in this situation.
Fortunately for disney, they have their parks n experiences, IP licensing and broadcasting deals to absorb all that cinematic BS.
They should be damn grateful they still have that option of “scaling back”, coz for most companies, the only option after this level of catastrophe is “selling off”.
To quote Nate Diaz “I’m not surprised mfers!”
Jennifer Lee (the CCO of Walt Disney Animation Studios) said this to her team at the studio about the failure of "Strange World": "This is a Bummer, but the message is important, and we will press on with it." She doesn't care about wether they damaged their brand or making alot of money.
I really think they only care about the narrative. Even if it loses money, the movie still exists. Its not going away and if they can indoctrinate a kid 20 years down the road, thats all that matters.
I can't think of any other reason why they would continue this destructive path.
Exactly, and that's why I'm collecting the classics. That's what my kids are gonna watch. Not this new garbage.
But here's the THING: Kids are now WISING up to the BS Disney is pushing out right now
@@MatthewLoh-ru1mw true
Disney sent Scrooge to sensitivity training. He's too capitalist.
Side note: Marvel Comics is going to release Scrooge comic written by Jason Aaron I believe
@@anshbanka2873it's a one-shot, though
Iger, the destroyer of Disney, with his 4 Sith Acolytes: Palpatine Kennedy, Lesley Headland, Kevin Feige and Jennifer Lee.
Well, Last Crusade *could* be the perfect capstone - had they included Marion😢😢😢. It is a consistent mistake in Batman to Austin Powers to Indy to go to all the initial work of Getting A Great Couple Together and then ditch them
Also they lose ALL the sensual tension with Alison Doody Catwoman Chase Meridian Liz Hurley etc by axing the female
Lost close to a billion dollars at box office. Lol but hey at least they owned Ike pearlmutter.😅😅😅
Somehow Disney has made Pearlmutter's disaster of the tv show The Inhumans look better.

Speaking of "Wish" they were not even interested in giving Asha a Love interest.
Wes I'd appreciate a Ghost Machine update. I'm hearing absolutely nothing about it. Even asked my LCS owner and he didn't know how ppl were responding to it.
Wait till the Colombian Snow White, Rachel Zegler comes out…it needs to make $500M turn a profit.
Good.
I found Wes's rant about Indiana Jones far more entertaining than anything coming out of Disney these days. The only theatrical release from Disney that I watched last year was The Creator and even that one was a disappointment.
For me it was Wish, and that movie was just ok...
Zangya: You’re going to come in me.
Me: I will never let-wait. What !?
Disney will absolutely NOT right the ship until it is purged of Bob Iger and his pawns.
They did it to themselves.
You don’t get it man. You don’t understand it, man. You gotta open your eyes to great Disney light.( This is A joke comment.)
With Wish aside from the movie looking extremely wonky and unfinished, the marketing was extremely bad and only served to be a detriment to its box office. It conveyed the main character wanted to grant everyone’s wishes, and that the villain was wrong for not granting them. That wasn’t exactly the case in the movie but it definitely ended up being a generic girlboss movie that had a pretty bad story to boot.
So Its More then Deadline reports. Deadline assumes that Disney gets 100% of the box office income. Disney doesnt tho it get 55-60% of that. Less in overseas markets so its closer to 1 billion.
It's as if Disney has planned the collapse of the corporation. The constant doubling down by Disney on trash content leaves no other conclusion.
Not surprised. Disney ruined Marvel and Star Wars. Your failure in the theaters is very well deserved.
That Blackrock DEI money would want to be good to offset all these losses.
Maybe Disney's accounting is like the mirrorverse. Loss equals profit.
The kid who played Young Indy should play him!
Unfortunately it's not enough to make disney go out of business. They need to.
DISNEY: We get it we get it no more pandering we are going back to putting entertainment above everything else!
ALSO DISNEY: FEMALE SILVER SURFER LOLZ!
They have to choose. DEI money or fans money? They can't have both.
This is like that saying about the person needing to be strong by saying out loud that they're strong. That's the problem. Disney and Marvel (and Warner Bros./Discovery and DC) for some stupid reason, feel that they don't have to just show, they also have to scream in your face as well. It's very telling. It's a cliché, but it does explain a lot.
If a man who is the king has to shout that he is the king, is he really the king?
Or, in another way, if the girl boss has to yell that she is powerful, is she really powerful?
Feminists will never, ever learn. Their perfect drug is their own egomania.

Disney+ plus did make money this past quarter per Disney's quarterly report. On another note, Indie #4 is set in the 50's, which is why his son is a "greaser" and why you get the refrigerator scene as refrigerators back then were lead lined. YES it presses the bounds of reality (and yes there are some very over the top action sequences that should have been pulled to bring the film back to some reality), but in the overall scope Indie #4 is a good movie, it's simply a sci-fil plot as opposed to a straight pulp story. Indie still has to solve the mystery, in fact he has to figure it out backwards, you have all the usual Indie elements in the film, and Cate Blanchet is a real good villain...sorry can't use the Germans in the 50's it has to be the Russians. Indie #5 is a depressing movie when all is said and done. It has a few good points, but alot of things that just make Indie look old and used up. That is what is sad about it. They could had Indie go out with a bang...instead its like a wimper. And yeah these movies lost alot of money. We already knew that. WTF20.
I think they should have gone the James Bond-way with INDIANA JONES. Its not really a trilogy. The third movie told a very personal story and was a good ending for the franchise, but the first two Films were made as serial adventures. They should have continued that. After the third Film they could have recast the part of INDIANA JONES. They could have an ongoing franchise like James Bond. But they blew it.
Awesome work mate

Marvel fatigue is real
You don’t know what you’re talking about. Disney is great; they have NO problem.( this is A joke comment.)
It's not even Marvel fatigue. It's failure fatigue. People are tired of flops.
@@DarthDread-oh2nethat’s probably what there saying right now😭😭
It's wokeness fatige. They hire people who doesn't deserve the job for DEI's reasons and victimhood, those same people hate the fans, those people hate the content, characters and moral values of the source material. They want to rewrite everything because they hate it. Everything they do is attack customers and destroy what they love, then customers don't want to be treated that way and they stop paying them because they are done with the abuse of the company who doesn't understand that it's vital must have a positive relationship with your fans and your only goal should be making money giving they want they want instead of acting like tyrants who want to force them to do something they don't agree.
Fast 5 was amazing bro.
GREAT THINKING CRITICAL DISNEY'S DISASTER 2023TH MOVIES FLOPPY,
if you watched valiant renegade's channel you'd know that indiana jones and the marvels did lose close to what u were estimating!
I have to disagree on one thing...I like Crystal Skulls. GRANTED, Skulls and Crusade are the only movies I've seen and Skulls is the only one I've seen in its entirety. Hear me out...A dog in a small cage was flung 4 blocks by a tornado in real life and survived, granting the fridge real-world support that the raft from Temple doesn't have; and even if one finds Mutt annoying, is he REALLY as bad as the kid or love interest from Temple, let alone BOTH of them? Plus...that Soviet Lady was pretty cool.
Everything else in this video, however, I agree with. Trying to appeal to smaller markets is admirable, but why is it Disney's MAIN focus of late, especially when they keep failing to get the numbers they thought were gonna be there? Maybe the big projects could be the older-school mass-appeal movies and they use straight to video projects to reach out to the audiences they're looking out for...But also drop out of streaming like Sega dropped out of consoles to just sell their appealing IPs and STOP giving pre-existing and beloved characters catastrophic rewrites, since that's the main reason many are mad about a lot of their projects of late.
Wish was a CGI movie
😂That's a lotta cheddar for an ABC Afternoon Special"😅😅 You are SO Correct👍recently got a bootleg copy of Marvels, such a TERRIBLE FILM...Those saying otherwise are Shills, queer, or Just don't know movies. Saw Aquaman 2 also recently; Wasnt the Best flick but was entertaining enough, and FAR better than " The Marvels". Far better.
They’ll end up getting bailed out somehow.
Are you on a greensceen of your room?
No
I feel like pirates was good because it wad more a pirate movie .. change the name of the film and it's a good swashbuckling pirate movie...it had some comedy sprinkled in but for the most part it wad an adventure movie..counted mansion was a corny comedy that wasn't funny..had they made it a thriller ..suspenceful..scary even ..it probbly would have done good
Ezra Miller as the Flash got his start under Zack Snyder. I think we're seeing more and more reasons to doubt Zack Snyder's judgement. Ezra Miller as the Flash was a disaster. On this rotten foundation nothing of value could have been built.
😬💲😐😂
I think haunted mansion failed cuz no one wanted to see the remake of a crappy film. I mean how weird of an idea is that? Picking a complete failure of a movie to do a remake of?
True. The 1st wasn't very good (NO, I never watched it, not a fan of horror!)
GREAT THINKING CRITICAL DISNEY'S CEO BOB IGER RELEASING HOT 🔥 GARBAGE.
I liked The Flash. Get over yourself man. "oh, to this day I've never finished IJ The Crystal Skull" . So what? I for one have NEVER thought the Indiana movies were great. Fun, yes. I like the first one. I've never really liked 2 and really disliked 3 the one with Sean Connery. I have no fucken idea why you all claim that was some perfect ending to the character. I was young when that came out. I fucken hated it. I thought the acting in the third one was fucken awful from everyone in it.
This goes to show what you like or love, isn't for everyone. Case in point The Flash. I don't think Ezra Miller is the right guy to be Barry Allen but I accepted at one point. In The Flash, Miller acts his ass off and I found he did a great job. He basically played two characters and the special effects were flawless when the two Millers interacted.
The claim that the special effects were awful (what you claim), isn't true. The movie is ambitious and there are excellent scenes! To name a few:
1. Hippie BAtman trying to hit the Flash, excellent, accurate. BAtman cannot touch The Flash. I though that was very well done and it made sense.
2. The Flash rescuing everyone from a crumbling building. This was an excellent, visual spectacle that I really enjoyed. It had humor and best of all the speial effects were excellent to my eyes.
3. Batman (Affleck) in his Blue and Gray glory, in full action! Nuff said. drean come true to see a live action BAtman in his blue and grey alfit.
Are there scenes that suck? yeah. every movie has them. To me there was more good than bad. and most importantly of all, THE FLASH HAD NO annoying female bosses of virtue signaling that I remember.
To each their own. I stand by my opinion that The Flash was great overall. I did think the Aquaman end credits scene was pointless but whatever.
As for Disney Marvel movies., I don't watch them, I don't buy them, I pretend they don't fucken exist.
