I first listened to this incredible translation of Pachebal Canon in D several years ago. I am a 61 year old woman who grew up playing parts of this on piano and flute. I LOVE what new artists are doing to keep this beautiful piece of music alive in all of our souls....Thank you! Mary

I have said before but will happily repeat that this is probably the best version I've heard in a sea of excellence (Pete C and many other near-virtuoso renditions). It is a very fine and excellent blend of both swift and fluid dexterity and the maturely executed, "slow-hand", bluesy-rock feel of longer note values. The vibrato is employed with a great sense for feel, tone and nuance. Brilliant! a joy to hear and watch. Again!

fans of another guitarists on youtube... maybe... :P some people tend to like one thing and just hate the others... like what i'd seen somewhere, some yjm fans said, hendrix sucks and some even said hendrix was nothing... or some fans of another guitarist would say yjm is nothing... just speed... like that... when they all are actually really good... but because of hate... :P
In a word, the neck. shredders like the wide, flatter profile (bigger radius), thin necks that traditional guitars don't have. It's not impossible to play this type of soloing on a fat, narrow, small radius (rounder fretboard) guitar, but you'll run into some problems. For example, extremely wide bends on a small radius neck will buzz out on an adjacent fret because of the neck curvature. I'm not sure how much you know about guitars so i'll stop here. heh.
Pakin Pongcheewin the short answer is yes. To give you an idea, round profile necks have a radius of 7"-9" and these guitars are mostly used for chords and strumming with some limited soloing styles. Gibsons have mostly 12" radius frets and some of the newer models have 14". ...a little flatter. Most of the seriously technical guitar solo players will have guitars with radius of 17-20" which are virtually flat fingerboards. There are sizes in between but that's the basic idea. The flatter the fingerboard is, the more capable it is for a player who plays crazy solo's...like Steve Vai, or dragonforce for example.
Shunga´s version of canon rock is pretty much the worst of them all, considering the ones that have over 1 million wiews.. There is no mastering what so ever, and it doesn´t rock even nearly as much as everyone else´s. Shunga Jung was born to play the accoustic guitar.
Sungha is very talented but still he needs more practice based on it's Canon rock video.. He is only 2 months in electric, he might be very good if he wants to continue on lectric guitar

I cannot say it enough times: THIS IS BRILLIANT !! He puts in the Rock, the Blues, the Soul, the Jazz and of course, the Classical. He does it with the skill and panache that many of us still dream about for our own guitar playing. I am 60 years old and was born at the start of the Rock era. I'm so proud that musicians like this can and do pay great homage with such contemporary excellence and virtuosity. I hope this man gets paid very well, for he will deserve every cent. Masterful talent!

自分がステージに立って、同じようなカノンロックを弾けることを妄想して1人で興奮して夢見ていました。
