Did Glenn Fricker cut the mustard, for you? Which preset did you think was best/most useful? For me, it's the first one: Modern Metal 2, and also Final Frontier and Tech Metal. That Sonor Protean snare was so nice.
I am a huge fan of Glenn and his channel, I might be wrong but I think ELE was more to do with Jackson Ward who did all the sampling. I am so tempted to get it. What kind of latency are you getting, I assume from stand alone app?
Thanks for clarifying that! And good question. I tested the first versio of tghe ELE 2.0, so they may have improved the resource-demands....but latency was good. I did have to raise my buffer level for my audio interface a tiny bit above the normal (from 64 to 96) but even at 96, the latency is not very noticable at all. I tend to be able to play fine with latency up to 128 or just above. so 96 was fine.

Bro, try the big old titan BFD3 (not BFD player)... The core library is PRETTY ENOUGH for everything, If you want velocities, round robins and if that wasn't enough, randomization and humanize algorithms to increase the capabilities. Is the best RAW samples... but difficult to mastering, of course, is the closest thing to a real drum. Try it!!!

I am going to upload some reviews of the newest BFD Player libraries soon (yes, they are based on BFD3 libraries but this is where InMusic is going with BFD for now!)
You should try Dark Farm. I know i already told you before but i cannot recomend it enough. The Q drums are amazing and the snare selection for the drum library is great. Also the BFD player expansions are amazing (2 of them are from dark farm) but you cannot make your midi Maps yet so it’s a little bit complicated to use with e-drums. In my opinion: Dark Farm, Oblivion, Crush and London Sessions are great.
Very comparable. Are you talking about BFD 3 base library? Id probably get ELE over BFD3 stock library. If you've got something like BFD3 with the Dark Farm expansion, thats hard to beat. But also it depends on your needs. BFD 3 can do many in depth things. If you mean BFD Player libraries, they would be good as well and tit-for-tat with ELE 2.0. BFD Player Free vs ELE 2.0 -- thats tough, because BFD Player is Free, but with ELE you'll have more flexibility, more drums and more options for mixing in the plugin itself, etc.
@@expansivo dont get me wrong, there are other expansions to BFD that are great as well, but Dark Farm is their latest and its right smack in the middle of that hard rock and metal sound. SD3's Area 33 is also great, but some people consider it too harsh maybe. I dont know. Of course you should consider Krimh Drums as well for metal. Try Krimh Free first to see if you like it. I have a vid on Krimh free on this channel as well.

But I don't know if those are "Ready for mixing presets" that come with the library or if these have any post processing.... These all sound amazing
@@expansivo Yes I did...how old was the video you saw? I dojt have those presets. Either they updated very recently and i havent updated yet, or that video is old and they removed those presets in 2.0

The Protean is Gavin Harrison's Sonor custom snare.

my ears were tired of that snare sound after 5 hits.
