I have both of these grips. After a couple of range trips and and many many dry fire and presentation drills I made a choice. I ordered a second Sig Sauer Carry Grip Large for my second P320. It just pointed more naturally for me, while both shot well.
Yep, after more range time I still think the original 320 grip is the best. I use the large as well. Definitely still room for improvement but it just fills up my hand better.
Love my Wilson Combat P320 replacement module...the old style magazines will not seat fully due to the "ears" that match the slots at the grip bottom of the factory module, but it only takes a few minutes to remove the magazine baseplate, use a pair of small diagonal wire cutterd to snipnoff the ears, sand the cuts smooth, & reassemble the magazine...
One thing no one mentions, is how cheap the oem coyote p320 modules feel. The black varients feel like they have an extra layer of plastic or something. Meanwhile the coyote is very smooth and feels like a dollar store toy. I bought one and immediately thought i got a knockoff. Paint was peeling on the inside, when i shot it the paint would actually start to melt and drops of paint were in the module. When i shared on the sig subreddit, they all said it was a real module. For $70 that is a slap in the face!
I went with the black Wilson combat grip for my M17 as well and I have to admit it has a good aesthetic going for it. Also during the time of me writing this comment, I think Springfield with the new Echelon hit the nail on the head with their grip modules having interchangeable backstraps out of the box, hoping Sig or somebody tries to do the same.
I bought the gray WC and mated with a full 4.7" bbl slide . Gun looks better and the grip is great. It's has the right amount of width. I also order the weight kit but when the 1st send the pkg they sml zip-lock bag was not seal so the weighted rods escape thru the box gap. So I only had the larger of the 3 rod mount WC did send me replacement rods. I'm going to buy a brouwer module at a TBD.
Wilson FTW all day. Thinner up top where it needs to be, flared magwell helps get a tighter grip without squeezing any harder, texter is far better. Only con is I prefer the square trigger guard. Otherwise, way better and doesn't cost an arm and a leg more than standard.
I feel like a smoother side makes it a little more comfortable for carry. I have some pretty aggressive texture grips and they eat up my side a little bit and sometimes grabs my shirt when getting out of the car.
I love the feel that is nice but not overly aggressive. I also considered the rubberized Talon grip, but think that it would negate the true feel of a WC grip. I have the Carry II with the RXP X-Compact and full-sized 17-round and 21-round mags (great for range not so much for concealment.) I recently got 2 sets of the tungsten weights and while it isn't a huge difference, you can feel the additional weight. I feel like it balances the gun even more. DJM but I was greedy and also got the X-Compact WC Grip Module as well as they were on sale and with the S&H why not. I may get a new FCU and I am debating a Carry X-Change kit for a 2nd P320. The more pronounced beavertail is a blessing and a curse. It is a welcome secure grip while shooting, but a lil annoying when carrying when it shifts. Tip on the weights that I found online - Use a 1" piece of heat shrink tp seat the weights to keep them snug without permanently adding them.
Yeah the names are a bit of a misnomer. The M17 uses a carry size module. The full size will work too, the only difference is the length of the dust cover (the part that covers the guide rod). The grip itself is the exact same size between full size and carry size. The carry size is usually better because it will also work for shorter Sigs like the M18.
Sorry for the late reply - The P320 has 3 categories: Full, Carry, and Compact. Compacts take 15 round mags and higher, whereas Full and Carry take 17 round mags and higher. Carry differs from Full because it has a shorter rail, which is compatible with 3.9” and 4.7” barrel slides. Full frames are only compatible with 4.7” barrel slides and up. The M17 and M18 take the same Carry size frame. So the one you specified is the correct one.
Do you have a link where you went and got that grip module? I have checked Wilson combat and cannot find this grip module. I also have a m17 and would like to get this grip module but having trouble finding it
Yep, absolutely. I don’t have the exact link on hand, but I got this particular one from MidwayUSA. I also have gotten grips from Midwest Gunworks. Both are great, just make sure the module you get has the safety cut out.
I say this, If Sig thought the grip needed to be like the wilson combat one they would have made it like that, quite a bit of RnD went into this...I think people simply want to change because they assume it will be better and its cool. But function over tacticool is my route.

Waiting on my Wilson Combat grip to arrive. Looks very nice on your pistol.
I have the Wilson Combat for the P320 XCompact and I love it on my firearm
Does this one have the safety?
@@StevenMikeyMusic no it does not
I have a 250 and this video really helped me decide to go with the Wilson. I have small hands

Wilson Combat makes great grip modules. I have one on my P320C - incredibly comfortable in the hand. Much better than the stock Sig grip modules.

Stamped?
@Dee Jay If your talking about the texture, I think it is stamped. Still better than stock IMO. The stock P320 X series though is better.
LOVE MY WILSON COMBAT MODULE FOR MY COMPACY 320. SURE WISH THEY MADE ONE FOR THE XTEN 10mm!!!!!
did you go with the WC compact or the WC carry?
Thank you for this comparison!
I feel like a smoother side makes it a little more comfortable for carry. I have some pretty aggressive texture grips and they eat up my side a little bit and sometimes grabs my shirt when getting out of the car.
Have you considered putting a weight kit in the Wilson combat grip? Was curious what it would weigh

what lenght slide is that?
This is the standard M17 4.7" slide
Thanks guys this is a question I was going to ask!
What's the length of the barrel on the slide you threw on it at the end?
Which grip size is this? I dont see a full size with a safety... All I can find is the carry size

@@mongooseguns2679 thanks for the reply! I'm thinking really hard about picking one up!
What is the exact model and size for the m17? Is it WCP320 - CARRY? Sorry if it was mentioned...didnt catch it. Thanks.

I think the wilson combat is alot more comfortable
Is that a 1911 style slide safety ?
The original grip is beautiful don’t get me wrong I just don’t see myself enjoying the flare on the newer one
😢 'Promo SM'

I agree. As I've gotten more range time with both modules, I can confidently say the original module is far better than the WC grip.
Do you know if the WC grip of smaller than the regular full-small grip?
