The impressive thing is that the GPU is embedded into the Snapdragon X Elite and it's still giving high end console quality performance with those demanding games. also, this is Qualcomm's first time making an actual soc processor for a power PC.
I'll trust outlets like Digital Foundry more than this channel. If they say this laptop is bad then I'll believe them because they actually tested the laptop in every possible scenarios.
While this is certainly impressive considering Qualcomm is historically idiotic when it comes to gaming and this is all done in emulation, I don't get why there are articles claiming that this is in any way comparable to AMD's 780M. At best this is comparable to the Steam Deck.

Felt a lot of Motion blur in control. Snapdragon XE seems very late to the party especially QRD performance seems good for first gen. I'm unsure about third party vendor performance. XE does seem like SoC in 2 in 1s with AI performance and very good travel device with great battery life.

However, in gaming, there are certain games that may challenge the Ally. Yet, if any device can manage any game, it's likely capable of handling any task you throw at it.

Seems a bit slower than the z1 extreme. Not bad for a first gen product. Though it uses 23 watts so it isn't super efficent.
Doesn't really bode well for the switch 2 having fast performance looking at this result though. The switch 2 will have to rely on dlss.
