- In this Tutorial, we'll see about How to make a Simple Electronic Code lock with 555 timer IC & demonstration. In this Lock, there will be 8 buttons and one needs to press specific four buttons simultaneously to unlock the Lock. The 555 IC is configured as a Monostable Mulitvibrator here. My password is 1458. Don't Share it with anyone. You can also set your own password.

@@SDevElectronics Thanks ! can i ask you one more question? i don't really understand what the purpose/function is of 4017 ic and 555 timer ic in your circuit.
From what i can tell is that the 4017 sets the amount of combinationf for the push buttons you can use to set the password for this case it is 4 (1458). Can you tell me if i am right regarding the 4017 ic and could you please further explain the function of the 555 timer ic.

Refer circuit diagram.
555 in monostable mode
4017 in toggle mode.
You can change password by Shuffle you push buttons Pin 2 with pin 4.
Pin 2 push buttons are password.
If you press Pin 4 push buttons, it resets 555 timer. So Output is not enabled.

It's is decade counter, it counts from one to ten
