Yes. I had to remove the performance that I usually do at the beginning, or risk a copyright strike. Usually, when I get a content ID match, I can push back on it since this is an "educational" video and not meant as a replacement for listening to or buying the original song. Half of the time, I win 100%, and the other half of the time, the publisher agrees I can keep it up but we share ad revenue. This time, they didn't want either... it was very strange, but I assume the publisher simply didn't take the time to actually watch the video. At the end of the day, RUclips will go with whatever the publisher decides, so I have no recourse at this point. Oh well... from now on, I will create two versions of each video. One will have the performance at the beginning, and the other will not (which will be my backup video). :)
Thanks bro, I appreciate the comment. I really enjoy doing the performance at the beginning too. To your point, I want people to see that I can actually play it too, and I'm not just some guy that reads tabs to the viewer. :)
@@PDXguitarfreak Glad to see it back up, Dave! I'll never understand why some of the publishers do that. In my eyes, any of the performances (and accompanying lessons), is a form of free advertising for them. I, for one, have purchased numerous songs due to learning them on You-Tube and saying to myself: "I've gotta purchase that since I don't have it already!" Anyway, Rock-On bro!!
Greetings from Concord, NH Thanks for taking the time to record, edit and post this video along with every video you have posted here. I am fairly new to your channel and did subscribe.. I really enjoy the easy you teach especially when you teach solos. You do an amazing job and I like the way you take the time to break each phrase down playing it both at regular speed and slowed down. You explain it very clearly while moving the video along so it doesn't drag out. The tablature you add/use for each solo is the icing and cherry on top. I'm so glad I stumbled upon your channel. I wish I was in a better spot financially so I could contribute to your site. While I can figure out most songs and solos by ear I don't always have the time to do so. This is when I seek out videos life yours. When I do get caught up which could potentially take another year I will be showing my appreciation for the time you takes doing this by contributing financially to your channel. I have taught lots of beginners over the years and always do it for free. It can be expensive enough to get started before the cost of lessons are even part of the process for someone. I also honestly believe in passing along what people taught me when I was starting out and most of it was done by friends and didn't cost me anything because it wasn't. a private lesson from a music store or instructer. It is also rewarding to see the progress of someone and How that influences them to practice and learn more. Thanks again, I look forward to going through more of your videos and waiting for the new videos to be released.
An excellent 🎥 as always !! Well done...nailed it !! Can you do a 🎥 on ''Hopelessly In Love (Party's Over)'' ?? Very tricky intro and rhythm 💘 🎸🌍🔭🎨🎭🏆🤞🏼

I wasn't trying to call anyone out, I was just speaking in general about those types of lessons :)

Hey man, amazing lesson. Can you do a solo lesson for Unchained? I haven't found any good tabs anywhere online :)
Thank you! I was planning on doing the solo for Unchained within the next month or two. :)
Glad you uploaded it again. Btw did you get my payment for the Van Halen tabs?
Yes, I saw that, and thanks! The tabs should be in your inbox right now :)
@@PDXguitarfreak Got them and thank you!
Hi PDX, nicely done! Is there a fuzz pedal in your effects chain? Great tone on this solo.
Missed the solo demo on this one....maybe Neal's best while in Journey !
Hey Bob! Thanks! I hope your weekend is going great! :)
Sections would sound like octave clefs
Section One - Bass clef then Bass clef 8va
Section Two - Treble clef
Section Three - Treble clef
Section Four - Treble clef
Section Five - Treble clef
Section Six - Treble clef then Treble clef 8vb
Section Seven - Treble clef
Section Eight - Treble clef
how about a lesson on hold the line by toto?
Until I saw you I thought you were 20 years old
LOL oh man I'm about 2.5x that, but thanks! :)
