Blast Corps is a driving/puzzle/destruction sandbox video game by Rare for the Nintendo 64. A wheeled carrier hauling a pair of defective nuclear missiles to a disposal site is locked on a straight-line course there, and the slightest jolt will cause them to detonate. Unfortunately, there are a LARGE number of obstacles in that straight-line path. The Blast Corps, a cleanup crew made up of former military personnel, have been called up to clear the way for the carrier, lest it hit something and the missiles detonate. To do this job, the Blast Corps team has access to a wide variety of vehicles to destroy the obstacles, including a rocket-launching motorbike, a somersaulting mecha robot, and a dump truck.
In this run, WarHippy ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/W... ) completes every task in the game as quickly and efficiently as possible, including getting the platinum medals in every level. This includes all 21 carrier levels and all 36 time trial levels. The trick of switching to truck/carrier view during the main levels - done in real-time speedruns to reduce lag - is not used for the sake of the viewers being able to see all of the destruction happening in the run. This is actually satisfying to watch
Watching the series of races get absolutely broken was a real treat.
Always a blast to see the frustrating levels (Oyster Harbor, Diamond Sands, etc.) get demolished by TASs.

Literally GTA before GTA in terms of vehicle-changing mechanics. ;w;
You should check out Body Harvest on the N64, it’s kinda clunky but it’s even closer to GTA in some aspects.

I could never figure out how the dump truck worked best. I just swung it ass end first and hoped for the best
I think it was just overall mass. Swinging it's rear worked well because it allowed you to keep most of the momentum as you smashed into things where if you hit them dead-on it slows you down significantly.

Impressive, but it's too bad you used version 1.0.
In 1.1, they fixed the bug that buildings get destroyed when they are blocking your way out of a vehicle.
