    As flu season rolls around we wanted to share some soup recipes that are healing and help fight off the cold of fall and winter. It will warm you from the inside out, especially when made with ALOHA!

    Pork Watercress Soup
    Ingredients:
    2 Tablespoons Oil of your choice for saute
    1 medium Onion diced
    7-9 Cloves of garlic minced
    1 nice piece of Ginger minced or diced
    4 bunches of Watercress rough chopped
    2lbs Pork Cushion meat cubed
    4 Tablespoons Miso Paste
    1 Bunch of green onion chopped
    2 Tablespoons Soy sauce We use Aloha Shoyu
    3/4 Cup Chicken Powder
    1 Tablespoon Salt we used kosher
    1 Tablespoon each of white and black pepper mixed together
    Instructions:
    Prepare your ingredients
    1. Saute your onions, ginger, and garlic until onions are translucent.
    2. Season with half the salt and 1/2 the pepper mix.
    3. After onions are translucent add in your cubed pork meat cook about 3/4 the way through then add in your watercress and saute for another 10 minutes or until watercress starts to welt.
    4. Add in water and bring to a boil. Then add in shoyu, Chicken powder, miso paste, tobasco *optional, green onion and the remaining salt and pepper mix.
    5. Stir about every 5 minutes for about 30 minutes.
    6. Serve Hot and ENJOY!
    Bonus: Ginger Tea
    Take your ginger peels and steep them in hot water.
    This is a great anti-inflammatory! Add some honey or lemon to not only add awesome flavors but also help with the occasional sore throat.
