I feel your frustration! My 10 a year in had a leak in each tank. I was lucky it was not painted but nonetheless I was not happy. Getting on it fast helped :)
I feel your pain. I found two leaks during the pressure test of my left RV14 Tank. One in exactly the same area as yours. The other was on the opposite side, ie both on the forward side of the attach bracket, one on the bottom and the other on the top side. I made an access plate similar to yours. I figured if I have to go back in there at a later date I better use a doubler plate and locknuts.
Sorry this happened... High octane fuel vapor + battery drill that sparks at the brushes = Disaster. I also noted you did not ground the plane and the tank either. Static electricity is real. Plus you can hardly see it. Your clothes can be lethal for static electricity charge. I always wear a wrist strap and ground to the tank.
Your volume of sound was very low at times. My husband who built his RV6 has had similar leaks and your RUclips video very informative but the sound would drop off with your speaking at various points. Could you supply a translation on paper. Thank you.
