When you play FOREVER in the AFL

We are just a few weeks away from celebrating Scott Pendlebury's 400th AFL game. If all goes well it will be a massive game against arch rivals Carlton. The achievement also points towards a big change in the AFL in an era were are stars are playing longer then ever.

I wish he can walk out on his 400th with his team winning. This man is absolute legend. He is the catalyst to me actually enjoy watching collingwood games. An overall top bloke, humble & genuine.

Pendles is excellent and is in the weird category of players who are excellent but never actually the best player in the league at any given point. You can argue that in any given year he wasn't even the best on his list. But his consistency is insane: basically 13 years of the same output year in, year out.

Yeah, sort of, but also: Was he ever better than the best player in the league at any time? After all, a few Brownlow's didn't go to the best players anyway. And legends like Franklin basically need to kick 10 goals to get even 1 vote despite him being the league's best player at one point.
