You got to love Steve as he was the real hero as he loved Diana but he knew the world needed her more.
Yes they were both equal parts important because he showed her that the human race is capable of love and compassion as well as sacrifice. And through that she saw that we are worth protecting and fighting for.
Wonder woman is beautiful 😱😱😱😱😱💗💗👍💖💕

Thanks for watching my words 👍👍👍👍👍👍😁😁😁

I love the fact that she admits, yes humanity is hateful and violent, but it/they're also so much more...and capable of so much more

Only love can truly save the world
we need a wonder woman in our world.... :'(
That is truth, Diana not ignored the truth about the humakind

"It's not about deserve... it's about what you believe." goosebumps. words we need in this world right now.
So many and too many people think that other people deserve horrible things but if we believe they can change they can!
"words we need in this world right now."
true when you said.
even more so, now, more than ever before

This scene and the No Man's Land scene are what made Wonder Woman my hands-down favorite super hero, DC or Marvel. The whole, "I believe in love" thing, though people may think it cheesy, is something that speaks to me on a personal level as it really sums up my outlook on life. I know if I were a super hero, I'd fight for the same reasons as Diana.
Divergent TARDIS it's SUPER cheesy! Couldn't imagine Batman saying that to a villain 😅🤣😂
Olof Olofersond because Batman is a mortal man, while metahumans like Diana and Arthur resemble myths turned into reality
Reading this! I was like same! And I love her!! Then I saw your damn pfp!! You like DIVERGENT TOO!? 🙌🏽 Tris Prior is an awesome character too
@@honestopinions3271 Yep, it's an unpopular opinion, but I like her better than Katniss. She had a more interesting dynamic with Four than Katniss did with Peeta and Gale, imo.
Divergent TARDIS OMG same! 🙌🏽 like we didn’t have to follow the clique love triangle. We see Tris and Four grow with one another and making the ultimate sacrifice 😢
This is kinda ironic because Ares had a relationship with the goddess of love, Aphrodite
@@souptlme839 I know
but that is it. the love turned into lust in his perspective
I thought it would've made sense for Ludendorf to compare her to Aphrodite when they were dancing together, might have made her even more convinced that he was Ares. I also thought that Ares himself should've added "I didn't want to destroy any the other gods.." when he said "don't make me destroy you" to her and added something about Aphrodite
Ur not wrong
That's where it all went wrong lol
When she realizes she never will beat Ares with his weapons(anger and hatred) she choose to use her weapons to defeat him (love and faith)
no, she just uses random powers. That's the thing with DC movies; they just have laser eyes and ice breath but their power and strength has nothing to do with the deeper meaning or what they have to overcome. Her love and faith isn't what defeated Ares- her magic powers were

The scene is incredible, it was epic. Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman. A true hero.
Brant Frans, you meant heroine not hero, lol.
Gal Gadot*
she was awesome as it but not quite built for the role
Naomi Scott would have been better and less wooden in this role
Justin Dai who else could do this role then?
that "i love you" hurts so much when you realized she never had the chance to say it back... the message of love overcoming evil has kind of being lost in recent blockbusters, harry potter was the last one to really hit it until wonder woman, to me it is a message beautiful in its simplicity, and should not be lost
Yes, but... she says it back in everything she does. Steve was one individual that she loved, but ultimately he becomes for her a symbol of everything she fights for: humanity, justice, compassion.
3:09, love Diana's smile. you can see her coming into her own, and how she admires the strength of her power.

How beautiful. Diana’s destruction of Ares wasn’t based on anger or rage. It was based on protection and love. Everything Ares didn’t believe in. And everything Diana did
I think the original Wonder woman TV series is much more beautiful. Because in it, wonder woman never killed anyone. Even thsoe who were evil, she just brought them to justice.
Oh Gabby Abel, beautiful words: she based on protection and love, no anger or rage.
@@brockreynolds870 well my friend, you should understand that one serie for tv, must be more soft; one film must be base in cómics and all Lore about one character, as Wonder Woman in this case, she is a Amazon warrior whit centuries of fight and entreanning. Her People have their owm metods for their enemies.
@@domingogomez9030 No... the essence of Wonder Woman has changed. They didn't make it "soft" for TV.... the Incredible Hulk was on the same network at the same time, and it was full of rage and violence. Wonder woman was portrayed as being on a higher plan than the rest of us mere mortals. In the movies, they just make her a simple "Let's kick the bad guy's butts" kind of person.
What makes this scene so good, is that it's not the ordinary hero vs villain fight.
It's the fact that it's the embodied fight between love and hatred.
“It’s not about deserve. It’s about what you believe in, and I believe in love.”-Wonder Woman
That’s why I love her so much.

yea sure throw lightning at the daughter of Zeus
@cytex - good point. If she has anything of daddy's in her, the lightning will probably be part of it. Poor choice, Ares. But if you make poor choices, they come back to haunt you. In your case, VERY quickly. I'll admit I was unsure whether Gal Gadot could EVER replace Lynda Carter - but she is a worthy replacement. Beauty, but of a more exotic nature than Lynda Carter's very American style of beauty. But then again, appropriate since she IS Greek, after all.
You REALLY think Zeus would allow Ares to conquer him or Athena to let Ares outsmart her for most of the Olympians to be killed? I HATED that idea.
And kinda wanted Diana to be the daughter of Ares having been seduced her mother

I’m going to stick my head out here and say I don’t think this movie would have been the same in the hands of a male director. It’s point of view is, in all the best ways, female: powerful, caring, inclusive, and not once does it objectify it’s protagonist. On top of that it’s funny, exciting, moving, and has a powerful message about choosing the best part of our nature in face of terrible violence. It truly is wonderful.
Fair point, but let's not overgeneralize here. I know some brilliant men who would have been up to the task. Of course, they're not film directors, hehe. Either way, it's a fantastic movie.
@@es-rh8oo Fair enough!
Well this wasn't wholly in Patty Jenkins hands. Zack Snyder helped out a good bit, and without him (See WW84) it probably wouldn't have been as grounded as it was
Zack Snyder and Jason Fuchs help with the story. Look what happened at WW84 when those two disappeared.
Also zack has a huge part in the action scenes.
Diana:"I belive in love."
Wanda:"You took everything from me."
Jean:"My emotion makes me strong."

David Thewlis actually plays the villain part very well in this movie. Sells the evil shouting and voice superbly.

Yes! This scene, this movie, this character has gotten me through so many bad things. There is a little Wonder Woman in all of us
I cried in the theatre during this part
“I wish we had more time”....beautiful
Also I very much respect this Wonder Woman not being all man hating like the other versions we’ve seen in animation don’t get me wrong I liked those ones but gals was all about love and it didn’t matter man or women she believed they were all capable of being extraordinary❤️❤️love u ww
I cry every time I watch this scene because she was so hurt by her loss, she was prepared to kill, something she had clearly avoided (other than killing Ludendorff who she had thought was Ares), but she was able to then take that loss and the hate that came from it and turn it into something good. While she did have to kill Ares, it was necessary to stop the war and save so many others.
I remember feeling hurt by Auschwitz and finding my powers 3 years ago and started my Wonder Woman training last year in lockdown
It was the Holocaust who gave me the powers of Wonder Woman and I thought it would be something a lot worse
Her beauty goes to another level when she puts on that Wonder Woman constume.
Once she remembers Trevor and chooses love, the tiara and armor begins to glow. Exponential power up.
Ares has a point tho.
So does she.
Kal-El fan 49 he does
She didnt let hate to conquer her.
Kal-El fan 49 true, he did have a good point, so he could've been a great villain, but he had so little screen time that it was hard to connect to him.
I agree, but it's more like she did not let hate make her think that all humans are bad.
She believes in love. And so do I :))
Never noticed that tear below the gas girls right eye when diana chose not to kill her at 1:44

She is literally so inspirational!!! Daughter of Zeus princesses of the Amazon’s I just love that she’s so powerful and confident
The new 52 origin story she becomes the daughter of Zeus and Hippolyta
Zeus Is the most messed up God in Greek Mythology, all his offspring were where products of forced intercourse, he was a r*pist! All the stories about Zeus r*ping women took place while he was married to Hera. It has been recorded in Greek Mythology that Zeus only had 7 wives, Metis, Themis, Mnemosyne, Eurynome, Demeter, Leto, and Hera. Also since when tribes of the Amazon are Caucasian? Even original Greeks are tanned complexion with curly hair. Therefore, DC is nothing more than white-lies, trying to create fairytales for mere uneducated mortals!
Paty Jenkins always intented it to be a super hero love story between Diana and Steve. I read she told that in an interview for the first movie. She told Chris Pine that she needed him for the second movie when they were just filming the first one. If you read the novelization of the first movie, you will realize the story is not only hers but Steve's too, It is a timeless love story about two people from different worlds but they fall in love because they share the same ideals and values (save humanity from evil) and are very equal inside. It's a beautilful love story.
