I’ve been a nurse for 6 years and I find this VERY helpful. What happens is you drink this information in nursing school to pass the tests, pass the NCLEX (which is really about knowing how to answer the questions), and you get on the floor and completely forget the in’s and outs of each disease process. Working on a hospital floor becomes about surviving the shift itself, that’s it. You don’t have much time to educate patients and really think about each patient’s sicknesses. So I say that to say it’s refreshing to go back to nursing school videos and refresh my knowledge in this way. It makes going back to work more purposeful. Thank you Michael!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 (You helped in NS a lot by the way).
Yesss. I just graduated and just got hired. I finished my preceptorship and on my own now. I feel like I’m all over the place and don’t know anything bc as you said in school I learned to pass. This comment was helpful and made me feel better. Thank you. Lol I feel so lost on the floor and literally just trying to finish the tasks and catch up.
Thank you for saying this I just started working in a hospital and I always feel like I know nothing. Im sorry you feel that way, but it's nice to know I'm not alone
Congrats!!!! Sooo exciting! Will you please do me a HUGE favor & copy/paste this on our Wall of Fame?! Your review will help me out BIG time 🙏🏽😊www.trustpilot.com/review/simplenursing.com. And don’t worry, the link is not harmful lol, RUclips is just being precautious.

Simply amazing! simple nursing explanation. Again, I can't forget turn the patient Turner's(flank) sign and letter C for Cullen(belly button) sign. Mike you're the best! Kudos👌👍
I just failed the NCLEX. I cannot begin to articulate the level of embarrassment and heartache I'm feeling. I'm confident that I will be a good nurse. I just need to get past this, move on and persevere.
Kate…Your feelings are legitimate and normal but you got this!!! So many nurses are in your same situation. No need to feel any embarrassment. I have been a nurse for 13 or 14 years (I lost count)…the reward outweighs the heartache. Keep at it. Sending love and light your way.
@Kate I know AMAZING nurses who failed that test. Regroup and pass it the next time. No patient asks how many times you took it, just that you care for them with love❤️ May God give you wisdom and knowledge to pass it on your next try. Amen
Mike go ahead and drop that review link because I just passed in 75 and this program is the reason I got through nursing school with a lot more ease than I would have otherwise. I am not sure a subscription is worth it over youtube but I'll shout about SN from the hilltops. Thank you.

Hello did you try the Hurst review, it's excellent, I took the NCLEX a little while ago, passed on my first try, why I recommend Hurst Review, they take each system and have a way to make the nursing student understand exactly what's going on for example hypothyroidism, pancreatitis, best wishes

According to a Saunder's SATA question when asking which medications would be used for a patient with acute pancreatitis, it said that morphine WOULD be used to treat pain. When looking at my Med-Surg texbook by Ignatavicius and Workman, it says that "All opioids may cause some degree of sphincter of Oddi spasm," including Dilaudid. Perhaps for the NCLEX morphine is not okay? Be sure to check with your instructor for your nursing exams. Otherwise, great video per usual. Thank you for all that you do!

Sad to see greed take over what was once a very educational (free) platform. Thanks for gatekeeping the rest of your videos to only those who can afford the information on top of the insane nursing school cost.
