The first video I watched in 2018 after realizing I could photograph the stars with a dslr. You taught this 60yo to love the night sky. You were a joy to watch over the years. I will miss your newsletters, monthly vids, the passion in all your videos. So glad the family shared your service today.

Incredible I'm just fascinated by these expressive images. The landscape is completely different during the night than during the day. However, you need the right equipment to be able to lift the skid. Wow thumbs up.

Well Done outstanding ! I remember a few years back I was at the top of the fan no wind tent door open watching the sky it was beautiful ! Unfortunately it’s always weather permitting
I had only recently discovered your channel, fabulous it reminds me of a wonderful three days my family and I had at the Brecon Beacons back in 2018. I was blessed with clear skies. Since I live in Australia, it was a real education re thinking my settings for the much brighter skies. I love the UK it is so beautiful and hope to travel again there soon. Ian
Very enjoyable and enlightening. The piano music in the background could do with being quieter. I like how you can still see the Milky Way down to the horizon since at that time it was to the right of the appalling horid lights of Merthyr Tydfil and Ebbw Vale and Cardiff in the South, pity the lights are shining up into the sky from Brecon, you would think that they would shield the upward shining light (i.e. you shouldn't be able to see 10,000 lights from up on a high hill).
Alyn that was excellent. I learned a tremendous amount just by watching the whole exercise unfold. Thankyou for sharing the settings

I think this is a good way to describe how your shooting the night sky, maybe consider a few more details of camera set up and other locations around the Brecons? I am waiting for a clear sky to photograph the milky way etc, but so far it keeps clouding over. Many thanks for sharing your apps as well, this may be helpful in finding which night is clear. We live in australia now but stomped around the Brecons a fair bit a few years back. So it's great to see the places look so beautiful and your enthusiasm for your craft is infectious. Awesome! Just stunning. I Shot sunrise once from pen y fan a long time ago. But the Milky Way which always fascinates me when sleeping under the stars looks just out of this world in your shots.. absolutely class 👌🏼

Impressive finished result from a well-conceived shot. Your video also showed the problems that have to be overcome, eg cloud, light pollution, navigation at night, etc. Will be doing my first MW shoot on Dartmoor shortly and I've learned a lot from your demo. Thanks for sharing.
