How do you date antique dolls? A tricky one this, so I went to see doll collector and enthusiast Carol Blackmore who taught me a thing or two about how to date old antique and vintage dolls

Thank you David, for this informative video. I have dolls that were given me as a little girl in the 60s, mostly foreign ones given me as gifts by a great aunt & uncle who traveled everywhere. After re-discovering them at my mum's house, I've sold some if them through the antique center where my mum works, slow but steady. Looking forward to adding them into what I offer at vintage fairs in 2024!🎉

I always loved the German dolls with teeth. I don't have dolls anymore, but when I did collect a few I think it was because I didn't have any baby dolls growing up. Just a few Barbies.

Dolls alas dropped in value, especially the older ones. The really good ones are still really good of course. This girl played with trains and blocks as a child instead of dolls. Then when I got dolls they rode the trains.(LOL)
