    Hello Deborah!
Today is April 20, 2021. I have rewatched the three coordinating videos in this easy folio booklets!
During the pandemic, I learned to make little journals. Now I have more knowledge, skills, and appreciation for your tutorials.
Previously I enjoyed watching you make pretty things. Now I can understand what you are doing and make pretty things with you.
I also just love to listen to your storytelling voice!
You have moved to France, married, been through a French wind storm, taken care of troubled trees, cleaned out plenty of rubbish, recycled bottles, got some remolding done, added much needed electric outlets, you have a bicycle and a darling dog to keep you company while your partner is in lockdown in England. So much has happened in a year...happy news, sad news, and we have been spared and blessed to carry on.
Your appreciative fan, Lauren Butler from North Carolina

Thank you very much Lauren, I'm delighted to hear about your progress, it's great to know my videos are helping and I hope they will continue to inspire you! Yes, it has been a real rollercoaster and not a period I would care to repeat but we've been spared and that is a huge blessing and Buster is a loving little friend who makes me laugh and chases away any lonely moments. Let's hope the future will be bright and shiny! Take care :) xx

I made a version of this last week, as a flip down, to go on the inside cover of a book. So no ribbon, used a kraft circle that you wind the string around (its probably got a name but I can't think what it is!) to close it, and where you've got your little pockets, I stuck a coin envelope with a magnetic closure. It worked well. The biggest issue was making sure it was big enough. I made it out of card as well which I think wasn't such a good idea - will go with paper next time. its not finished yet but if you want to see how far I have gotten then it's at the end of last week's video (22m in, save you watching the whole thing!). Didn't know how you were going to do the top flap so I had to do it by a process of elimination - but it was the same way, thankfully!

@@AtticLane thank you! That's just the stuff for a specific journal that I'm making at the moment for an exhibition in June for my mum's church. I've a seperate box with other stuff - I just make bits and pieces when I get the inspiration/urge and pop them in! :D Glad you liked the adaptation, I'll do another video once it's properly finished.
