Avacyn is easily my favourite character in Magic. I determined long ago if I ever had the courage to cosplay that Avacyn would be my very first project. Then Anguished Unmaking happened...f* you WotC!

I agree about the decreased excitement around walkers. I was just thinking hmm I could open a 200 dollar box of avycn for tibalt, or get the war of the spark one at any lgs for 50 cents.
This is the set that got me started with magic, I bought two boxes after playing a bit with some random booster packs (lousy use of my money, or at least I thought at the time), only opened one box, hopefully it can continue on this trend so I can sell it and reinvest in newer boxes.

This is actually true. The Basics in Avacyn Restored are the same basics from Innistrad, but... with Hope.
I think Rudy’s favourite card should be ‘Uncontrolled Infestation’ from judgement. It destroys non-basic lands and it looks like the ‘Desolate Lighthouse’ is in the background of the picture.

In future news WOTC will be releasing a lighthouse in every box that goes to Ruby so that she will continue to be pissed by the lighthouse all foil rares for her will also from now on be a reacharound for Rudy exclusive boxes.

2 foil mythics in a single booster box is crazy, HOWEVER I think pulling a Aether revolt invention out of bundle is a little rarer. Well namely as bundles tend to be truly random when it comes to the packs inside. Note I have actually pulled in aether revolt invention out of one.

My dumbass bought mostly Dark Ascension booster boxes during this block. I remember opening 4 boxes of Dark Ascension. I bought 1 box of Innistrad and only a few booster packs of Avacyn Restored during that time period.

I love seeing comments like these :). I grew up when B Dalton Bookstore and very few places had Magic. I started right around 4th Edition and played until the start of the Urza's Block. I figured when I went off to college, nobody would play Magic and I sold my entire collection (I didn't lose out too bad even given today's market prices due to my foresight) And here I am, playing again. Opening those old boxes, at the time, was not as fun though. Lion's Eye Diamond sucked / still sucks to me, and I had pages of it. I never got my Phyrexian Juggernaut or my Hammer Of Bogarden from 8 Mirage Booster Boxes. But still, it was hella fun and I would never rewind the clock, aside from having the ability to build decks from all of those old cards.
I bought so many boxes of that set.

Avacyn Restored is one of favorites sets of all time. I don't know why it took people this long to finally appreciate this set ? I've always loved this set since the very beginning and opened so many boxes of this set.
