I genuinely think they are doing due diligence for picking players up in the season if there are injuries or chark doesn't give them the production they need.

No, 1, 000 yarder WR OR RB , would be NOTHING NEW for Herbert ! Seeing he has had ONLY [ 3 ] in his NFL career . While Burrow , Hurts & Tua have had that many 1,000 yarders in 1 season & EVEN more in there NFL careers , including RB"S , too ? And fans & media want to put Herbert VRS them ? Were has his 1, 000 yarders been in the last 4 years ? He doesn't even AVG 1 per NFL season ! SORRY Dan ! Stat of the day . PS , I also think Allen & Mahomes have had MORE in there NFL careers ?
I'd really like Joe to bring in Simmons and Gilmore in for a look at. I think we can put the brakes on WR'S for a minute now. I know they want to have depth and competition and all. But 11 wr's!!?? I think we need Cb/db depth too, and they've not taken a look at any so far!!???
You guys don’t watch Mark Schlereth’s (sp?) podcast? He had a former player on from Chicago who said he’s never been part of a team who was more prepared from a protection standpoint than Marc Trestman’s team. He said Trestmans protection packages are elite and they were prepared for everything on a weekly basis.
He is also there to apply creative routes that compliment the run formations of a typical Greg Roman offense because that has always been an issue - often time, wide receivers spacing has been too close and also very predictable. Trestman is there to marry the pass coordinator with Roman.
