Hello Jan, thank you for such an amazing tutorial. Under print preview settings, when I choose "Color Analysis" it displays a color chart in columns and rows, not the view I see in your video, with it separated per stitching segments. Do you know how I can change this, I can't find the solution. Thanks!
Hi Holly! When you go to print preview (printer icon on toolbar) a box opens. There is a button called settings on the top of the print preview box. If you want everything on 1 page, click "in one page". If you want the longer color analysis, click that box but not in one page. Hope that helps
Jan, I recently came across this software. I’m new to embroidery but not new to technology. I’m currently using the free version till I’m ready to step-up. I was creating and embroidery design with lettering and a “picture” and the person asked if I can make a change. I went back to the saved file and I cannot manipulate it any longer. I have to start from scratch. Is there a way to save my work so I can come back to it and make changes? Thank you!
Hi Linda! Did you save the design in the C2S format, or just PES? C2S is the working file that you can go back and work with, although you are more limited with the free version. Do you also have the Font Pack 6 that gives you more options in the free software? It usually runs between $100-$125.
Thanks for the reply. I did save it as the C2S as well as the PES file. I figured the PES could not be edited. Unfortunately, the C2S wouldn't allow me to finish putting together the final design to embroider. I am looking at the font pack to add. I want to make sure that I am getting the appropriate add-ons for my skill set and still have some growth when I become more experienced.@@sewalongwithjan
@@lindasullivan3268 sounds like you are on the right track. The font pack will allow you to ungroup which will increase what you can do by quite a bit. It also allows more things, but ungrouping while editing is really important.
Yes, I just checked their website and all the font collections will work in the free Embroidery Tool Shed. The Font Pack 6 does not come with any of the other Dime software packages and has the most fonts in it for the $. I would say start with that one, but the others also work. Here is the link to all the font packs: www.shop.dzgns.com/collections/software/Software_Font-Collections

Do you have simply applique. Would like to see how to use this effectively. I love it but not great at using it.
I'm sorry I don't have simple applique. I do have BES 4 which is very similar

There is in Perfect Embroidery Pro, but not in the free version
Ok, thank you.
Does Embrilliance have a free module that will allow you to print too?
Maybe. I don't really know Embrilliance at all.
Hi Jan, its Christine from south Wales UK. When converting the designs to your machine, I'm I right in thinking you use a USB flash drive?
I put the designs on a USB to transfer them to my machine. Is that what you mean?
Yes, and thank you for your reply.
