Great question. Simply put, no. The hanger is specifically designed to hold the rubber grommet securely.

good luck ordering one and receiving it . i got lucky and found one on dealer lot that came in while i was standing there and the only thing that was different from what i would have ordered was it didnt have the hitch. btw if you do order one the dealership will add 5-10k more on it (atleast around here) or cancel it after you order it(and without telling you) just to sell it at a higher price.

the Curt 13504 is over 250 bucks and the wiring kit is probably 75. The Cost of the factory tow package added to a maverick truck is currently $795.00 This video shows a good option if you find a maverick in stock with everything you want except for the trailer hitch.....wiring is in the next video. Got to love the internet a salesman just told me that it was impossible to add an aftermarket hitch LOL Got to run my new Maverick truck (without tow hitch) is supposed to be at my local dealership around noon today!

@@MrMinecrafter16 True, the "4K" tow package for $795 is a 7-pin wiring harness with a trailer brake controller integrated into the headlight switch area, in additional to the 2" hitch receiver kit. The receiver and 4-pin wiring is $100 MSRP though if its a dealer installed option prepare to spend a couple hundred for installation unless you can talk them into waiving it somehow. Still, it's a nicer package as it is OEM, uses all OEM mounting points (no fish bolt flanges) and includes a more finished cover for the rear bumper.
