I bought some individual tubes and cranberry punch is my favorite so far! I already ordered another tube 😊

I love the purple!! I love smalty blues. Bluey purples. This one is just different tastes I think?

Well, in hindsight, the Purple Spinel did end up in a gorgeous granulation, I was too soon with my verdict :-)

Which one is better this set or the Holbein set from the other video?

personally I would go for the Holbein set, because those have more granulation and especially a nicer color separation on the page - personal opinion of course 🙂

These colors are better tested on a little bit larger areas, as they need mire space to do their magic. Also quite a bit more water will make them really shine.
As far as the name "Witch Bordeaux" goes, the color looks a lot like blood, both wet and dry, so it probably reminded the makers of witchcraft and the fact that witches were said to often have used blood in their potions...just a guess.😉

I was able to hunt down this set of 24 Harmonia paints on the Japanese Amazon site, if anybidy is interestwd. Here in Europe it is not sold anywhere at all.
BUT on the Japanese Amazon site you will have to create an account, as they do not recognize existing foreign accounts. But then I was able to order them, as well as 2 sets with 3 tubes each of the Chinese Super Vision paints. They are all way too expensive ob Ali Express.
Amazon Japan mails via DHL Express, which only took a few days to arrive in Europe.

Yes indeed, I'll need to swatch them using more water and with more space to move freely I guess...
Interesting suggestion as to the name of the Witch Bordeaux :-)

Add more water to the conch it’s gorgeous. Add po73 and pw 6 to cranberry

Sorry for the play by play I’ve got going now. Lol. I came from the Holbein video to watch this.
I’ve been playing with pinks and greens and hadn’t noticed the Caribbean problem. I’m going to find a fix for this too. 😁. This palette is just too fun and well priced I want people to enjoy it as I am

Haha - no need to apologize! I appreciate the fact that you're taking all the time and effort to find solutions to my 'problems' :-) Much appreciated!!

After having seen these, the Holbein and the Chinese Super Vision paints I am thinking that the term "granulation" is mostly used for the multi-color effect in these, and not so much for the grainy, texture-like look that we refer to as granulation.

    • @KobieK

Companies just slap granulation sticker on and sell for double the price lol

I agree witch does not belong here! I hadn’t noticed that. Disappointing name.
