Good vid! My girl wants to hop on the back of my bike and I’ve kept telling her no because I’m not comfortable with it. Tomorrow I’m meeting up with a buddy of mine and we are going to practice in an empty parking lot and then in town. I want to get comfortable first before I have my girl get on. Good tips.
Another tip for everyone, if the operator of the motorcycle can barely tip toe the bike when stopped..it is not a good idea to have a passenger unless they plan on holding the clutch in whenever they come to a stop. Yeah the added weight will actually make it easier to plant your feet on the ground but not by much, lifting up the left foot to put the bike in 1st is wayy different with the added weight of the passenger and you can easily tip over especially if the motorcycle is heavy
Great video, info & insight. My husband just got a Ninja ZXR 650 (upgraded from a Honda Rebel) & he is a great operator. We rode around a lot yesterday and I kept sliding, especially with engine breaking... and kept wondering if I was riding correctly or if there's some trick. Looks like your friend is grasping your waist and the tank, much like I did. It's a lot of fun, just takes practice/getting used to and involvement. Knocking helmets seems unavoidable lol. Again thanks for this vid!
No thank you. Whatever makes it comfortable for you and safe for the both of youse. and as long as you guys have fun. knocking helmets always happens lol congratulations to your husband on the new motorcycle ❤️
The "give throttle and release clutch as quick as possible" I disagree. I feel the best way to execute an uphill even when your'e by yourself is to pre throttle. So open the throttle a little more than you are used to on leveled surface AND then begin to release the clutch. You'll acclerate smoother and alot less likely to stall. Just my two cents. Stay smart on the road riders!
Yes, and keeping the rear brake while doing all of this so you don't go backward, and when the bike starts to move slowly because you released the clutch enough, then you can release the rear brake. This way you don't go backwards at the start. It's the same on manual cars by using the hand brake.
Thank you man, The Thumbs up Thumbs down was so nice to learn about, especially since i don't have coms on my helmet's yet, I'm definitely using that one! Ride safe 🏍

The thing I worry about is those real sharp tight turns. How do you tackle those? Will the bike want to tip more if I take those turns as if I was solo? Do I need to apply more throttle while trailing the rear break more with a passenger?
So taken a turn it depends a lot on the passengers, body weight and if they’re going to lean with you and how hard they lean sometimes you might have to counter lean you have to apply more throttle and also more break more throttle because of extra weight on the back of the bike and more break because of the weight in the back.. everything needs more when there’s more weight on the motorcycle.. but leaning depends a lot upon your passenger I always tell my passenger to lean with me not to lean against me meaning the opposite way

You’ll have to switch from one hand to another relax one hand stretch it out and do the same to the other. But I don’t disagree with you it does hurt the wrist that’s why I’m thinking of getting a Hayabusa

Took my girl for the first time on my ninja, my triceps were on fire cause I didn’t tell her when we slow down to put her hands on the tank lol.
It’s a living learning experience. But at least your triceps are getting stronger lol hope you had fun bro
@@Sportbikememace it was a learning experience, means I need stronger arms haha. And it means a sport bike isn’t for me, a flatter seat is what I need. Like a cafe racer or z650rs
@@Illness.og. A Hayabusa is a more upright bike that’s the bike that I would choose compared to mine 1000 for a passenger. But I prefer riding solo more fun than with a passenger lol
@@Sportbikememace too much bike for me, I like light and nimble haha
@@Illness.og. it’s not too much bike for me but it’s not light or nimble like you said you can’t take it on the back roads or in the twisties
Can u fit a passenger on a 1000cc bike
Yes sir
Yes, sure, but give her a chance to get used to the potential speed 😚
Dam can you shift to second 🤦♂️
Why lol
What kind of bike is that 😯
2008 Suzuki gsxr 1000cc
Lancaster?
Yes
Your girl is short af, my girl is tall af. Thats the issue here
Get an upright sitting bike or a Hayabusa
My bf's r6 is painful for me after a while lol considering I'm taller than him. But I'm at least 10 pounds lighter
Shift, please god shift
🤣😂🤣😂 it’s a 1000 I don’t have to shifts so early
Is this Lancaster ?
Yeah I live in Lancaster too I ride around a lot in the summer about to buy another bike here soon maybe in the next month
@@miguelpuig2362 The weather's been getting nice have you been able to ride
@@Sportbikememace oh yeah I was out today for like 6-7 hours
@@miguelpuig2362 We gotta meet up. I was working on my bike all day today but we gotta meet some day
@@Sportbikememace whenever you wanna ride let me know
Like the video and the I don’t ride with dude comment was funny keep em up.
Thanks bro
Good video bro!!!
Thanks brother
SHIFT!
That's how I like to ride. The higher the RPm's the louder the bike too many people died this year If they can't see you let them hear you.
Which kind of person hold u like that u call it safe I call it shit
Why you're mad because nobody will put their hands around you.
To bad you and your passenger are not wearing the proper gear outfit.
My friend passed away even wearing gear so I don't want to hear it
@@Sportbikememace Not an excuse and a stupid argument that I hear way too often from riders. That’s like saying you won’t wear a seatbelt because it’s still possible to die in a car crash. That’s like saying you won’t cook or pasteurize your eggs because you could still get salmonella anyway. That’s like saying you won’t get life insurance because death is inevitable. The purpose of this stuff is to increase your odds of survival, not guarantee it. Don’t try to teach people things unless you’re going to follow the rules. You’re setting a horrible example for new riders and making yourself look like an absolute idiot to those who have experience. You’re too old to not understand such a simple concept, but then again, I see riders in their 60s with the same stupid ideology. AGATT.
@@TacitSwine750 I don't disagree with you it's not an argument I just personally don't like wearing gear I have a motorcycle vest Motorcycle gloves and shoes but that's about it.. When I do legal racing I will wear a suit.. By the way I do wear a seat belt
@@TacitSwine750 It's a choice we all make I can't force someone to do something they don't want to do. You're lecturing them doesn't make it any better I give people advice They are grown adults to make their choice.. If you want to keep people safe tell them to stop riding motorcycles A lot of people sold their bikes because people passed away on bikes... Always remember it's a personal choice..
"my friend is on vacation while i'm riding with his girl" fucking lol
I’m not that type of friend. I respect.
Maybe wear some gear if you're gonna do a safety video LOL
If motorcycles are so worried about safety they shouldn't be Riding a motorcycle 🤣😂 A motorcycle is a death on 2 wheels. If you're afraid of dying get rid of your motorcycle. Gear can only protect you so much. When I need a mommy and daddy I'll call you. Everybody has a choice to wear gear or not. A motorcycle is not like a car A car has seatbelts and airbags I think you know about that.. People like you guys are going to make motorcycles terrible Very soon they'll put seatbelts on motorcycles and air bags.
@@Sportbikememace that’s literally the dumbest reply I’ve ever read. You literally said motorcycles have no airbags or seatbelts so why would you bash on wearing gear if that’s all the protection you have? 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️
Ty sir 🫡 Hopefully I’ll get my dream girl to ride w me someday on my busa 🤗
