- England to the Sahara, Morocco on my 2010 Triumph Bonneville.
In part four of my road trip, I head off from Khouribga and aim to reach the edge of the Atlas Mountains and the town of Ouzoud- my final stop before crossing the mountain range.

I have watched you for quite a while now Freddie.. You are pretty much a professional with the quality of your presentation and content. You have an excellent relaxed manor that would appeal to both Bikers and Non Bikers.
In fact I have seen so called professionals on TV that are nowhere near as good (polished) as you are. You are a natural. Best wishes from Stalmine (Lancashire).
That’s incredibly kind of you to say so, thank you so much Simon🙂 And thank you for watching the videos for a while now- I gigantically appreciate it.
I’m a non biker and thoroughly enjoy the videos and podcasts.
Actually, despite my tender years, thinking I should take my CBT.
Wow Freddie scenery just gets better looking forward to the next one keep up the great vids 👍
Totally agree there, Simon!
Composition on point. Sound in point. Music on point) even tempo matches as he slows down in the town). Incredibly well spoken.
Love Freddie's work. His vlogs are always a pleasure to watch.
Cheers, Freddie.
Ride safe, sire.
🍻
yup, he's some kind of an office IT guy on the way to Sahara.
Triumph Bonneville - truly an adventure bike. Who needs knobbly tyres and a 30 litre tank! A great story Freddie!
Hi John have you read Ted Simon /Jupiter’s Travels(Around The World on a Bonnie)?.
I’m so impressed! Amazing. Good on you Freddie. I wish I had the same courage. 👍
The real hero of this story! What a trooper that Bonnie is!
Well....no. Freddie, rightly understood the Bonnie would likely die if he pressed too hard on a pebble strewn path for too long. It's not built for that type of adventure.
@@robertdaley1194 Actually it was a Tiger 500 not a Bonnie. Single carb version.
Tenacity, courage, curiosity, and blind faith will always always get ya through Freddie... outstanding.. keep on keeping on ✌️
These things together with a lack of planning and resources can get you into a lot of trouble, experience will teach everyone this if they are lucky and they don’t come severely unstuck first! On your own you are very vulnerable, dont think for one moment attitude will save you, it won’t!
@@antonoat you must not be from the age of the internet and its inexhaustible treasure-trove of motivational quotes. 😆
@@banzobeans lol, I speak from my point of view as someone who during their lifetime has travelled over half a million miles on motorcycles, I’m aware of what can go wrong and I’m wise enough to realise that no amount of internet connection can get one out of certain unfortunate situations. Bravado and ignorance are no substitute for planning to survive in harsh and hostile situations, trust me I speak from experience !
Thank you Colin!
Awesome, thanks Freddy!
Just Phenomenal Freddie...
Food, travel and bikes! All boxes ticked. Cheers Freddie❤
You inspire me to get out beyond my backyard. Enjoying the series!
Delighted to hear it!🙂
Just up the road?
Really enjoying the journey with you, just shows you don’t need an adventure bike, textile gear, blah, blah to have an adventure. Don’t clean the bike it just looks better and better in each video 👍
You are my motorbike hero! Ewan and Charlie, step aside.
Yeah, doing it without a backup van.
Nice to have you here bro ❤
as always very good music 😇
Well done mate, going that distance with the Bonneville, not even a GS those poor BMW boys. Well done again. Cheers
Fun! Ride safe!
Comedy gold, great work 🎉
I want freshly squeezed strawberry juice!! 🍓
Glad to see that Morocco and it’s people have not changed much since I travelled along a similar route when touring in 2000, I was very grateful of the my trusty 1150 GS as the route was hit and miss. I eventually ended up in Akhfennir which is adjacent to Tenerife. Fantastic people and country, the main lesson I learnt was to throw the schedule in the bin and take my time, as with only maps routes had to be carefully chosen daily and enjoyed. For the first week or so I munched miles and it became a bit obsessive, the. after a few bad sand and rock experiences I decided to go with the flow. Not sure what route you are planning but I am so envious, enjoy! Can’t wait for the next instalment. ;
Totally agree with this Jim- the schedule goes out of the window quickly. This must be a rarity in the modern world, but I genuinely don’t think it’s change much since your trip🙂🇲🇦
Quite remarkable. A++++.
That rocky road is better than most roads in Oxfordshire at present!! Great video, inspiring.
You're not wrong....
Good video. Decent accommodation for the money. Good to see the bike holding up well.
Loving this trip of yours. That last shot of the bubbling dish . . Mmmmmm .. delicious 😛
Nice landscape and people - must remind you a lot of Ipswich.
We’ve all had those programmes that we just can’t wait until the next episode. This is my Eastenders. P.s Hats off to Quadlock as your phone took a shaking there on that road and everything stayed where it should. Roll on the next one.
Well Freddie - where your road ends on a Bonnieville mine begins on my KTM - braaap - sand flying everywhere - more braaap !
Thank you
True to the style you always use when riding motorcycle, fairly standard attire of leather jacket and jeans trousers, but already equipped with body, arms and knee protector, either riding around town up to the blazing heat of saharan desert.
I’m a fairly recent subscriber (6 months ish) and I can’t believe the quality of the production of these videos, it’s hard to see how it can get any better. I only bother with full notifications for two channels and this is one of them, always look forward to the latest instalment.
Fabulous again. Looking forward to the next installment. Those newish Top Gear presenters have nothing on Freddie Dobbs.
Good on ya 🤙
As a Moroccan, i would say think you Freddie for sharing the beauty of our country.
Thanks!
its getting hilly! great food shots too!
Enjoying the trip.....v v entertaining. Good work...enjoy
Thank you.
'UK roads are worse than that!! Triumphs were born on gravel roads!! Or roads with potholes - I don't see any holes in the gravel road - just drive faster, it smooths the ride out! Sorry, I was born on gravel roads with corrugations on uphill corners, and ridges of gravel on the flat in rural NZ in the 60's and 70's.
I don't mean to ridicule your decision, you made it based on current conditions and your fear of a bike failure miles from any roadside service, or even anyone who speaks English!! Really enjoying your tour of discovery ad your own inimitable style of documentary Travel Blog.
Great news you found better roads and got there safely - in daylight!! You find excellent accommodation for such low costs! Air-Con? Wifi? Power outlets? All necessary details.... oh btw, those 360 views are awesome! Thanks for the editing and production. music selection etc, Monika!
Sensible call choosing the tarmac road Sir. Keep on rolling. 💪🏽
Triumph, please sponsor Freddie! What an amazing ambassador you would have. The quality of your content is first class. Really enjoying your trip and can’t wait to start my own in the summer.
Amazing video Freddy your footage is so professional. I’m sure if the BBC was filming a solo biker road trip they would not beat this quality.
Keep safe and keep the brilliant video’s coming! Well done 👍
Thank you so much Jamie!🙂🙌🏻
what a trip the memorise of this will stay with you for life
Thank you Mr D - excellent content again.
Well done Freddie, great vid, keep safe.
Freddie all I can say is I am in total awe of you 😊and your bonnie and your vids are so professionally presented 😊😊😊
I've been enjoying your presentations from almost the time you started and every one of them has what I would consider the Freddie Dobbs style. A mix of riding with an occasional break for a chat, and then back to the ride. It works wonderfully and from what I see in the comments, it's also inspiring many people to follow their dreams of two wheel adventure.
Glad uve got some civilisation. My hearts been racing on your behalf. Glad to hear yr back in Barcelona. This is far above my comfort zone. Thanks for sharing with us.
Always look forward to seeing your vids Freddie, 100k subscribers soon 🎉🎉
Thanks so much Ciaran!🙂
I like your relaxed way of travel. Very nice indeed. Especially as a bike guy. Most bike trips are just overprepped shiny kit fests with almost a quasi militaristic feel. People almost loose the fun.....
Great show
You continue to make the most exciting videos avout motorbiking. You continue to inspire me to ride with every video release. You present the spirit of motorbiking
Thanks Aria!🙂
Great work fred
Great trip superbly edited.. Thanks for taking us along..
"I'm in awe for every single mile". That's well said, exactly how I would describe Morocco. Makes me want to ride my TransAlp XL600V to the Atlas Mountains, this video looks like that bike is made for these mountains (besided the Alps obviously).
A 600 Transalp in the Atlas Mountains. There would be no finer sight!!🤩
Get yourself a set of karoo 4 by metzler for that trip trust me you will love them on and off road
Great adventure Freddie, looks like you are having a blast!, people who follow Itchy Boots, please don't compare, as Freddie is the "Phileas Fogg" of the travel world! Look forward to the next video.
Amazing content as usual. I hope to someday gather the courage to do something of this magnitude as well.
That’s very kind of you to say so🙂
Nice belstaff jacket bro, I have a trialmaster biege leather one, Vintage. My salute from Casabalnca.
I recently stumbled upon your video of your motorcycle trip on a Triumph Bonneville around Morocco, and I was blown away by the stunning scenery and the amazing adventure you had. Your video truly captured the beauty of Morocco and showcased the capabilities of the Triumph Bonneville.
Your passion for motorcycles and adventure is evident in every frame of the video, and I appreciate the effort you put into showing your audience the unique experience of riding a motorcycle in Morocco. The way you shared your journey with us, from the sights and sounds of the bustling city streets to the peaceful and serene countryside, was truly captivating and inspiring.
I particularly enjoyed how you showcased the culture and traditions of Morocco while on your trip. It was fascinating to see the different landscapes and the hospitality of the locals. Your video has definitely inspired me to consider a motorcycle trip to Morocco myself!
Thank you for sharing your incredible journey with us. I look forward to seeing more of your adventures on your Triumph Bonneville in the future.
Loving every minute of this adventure. Glad I found it. 👍
3 things.
1) The well you stopped by.Good eye.
2)You're using the original seat to Bonneville?
3) Your gear is looking fresh, man. That jacket. Is attractive.
Thanks again Freddie ,love the African tunes.❤
Absolutely fabulous professional production and content Freddie, don't know how you do it !.Spare a thought and a regular eye on the chain and keep that lube handy on those roads !.
Awesome.....this is fast becoming a series on how the limitations of the machine will guide and influence your journey.....I dont own a Bonneville but I could well imagine it wont take too well to slow bumpy roads; I have a 2006 955i Daytona and that doesn't even like filtering through rush hour traffic - it soon complains and the pumps/fans start going bonkers. A good decision to turn back and regroup/replan your route
Maybe you did not feel tired due to the lack of other traffic. We tend to forget how busy our traffic at home is. Fantastic journey so far and thank you for sharing it with us.
That last meal looks like something I would enjoy, and delivered to the table bubbling like that is amazing.
It was delicious! I ended up have about one of these a day🙂👌🏻
Loving this trip Freddie, it's giving me food for thought for next years trip
good stuff👌
Another fabulous film- lovely photography and editing. Thank you for taking us along.
You are an inspiration Freddie - more power to you!
Thanks for bringing us along Freddie! Magnificent!
Great stuff Freddie. What an awesome adventure. I'm looking forward to more.
I'm loving this series - keep up the good work and thank you
Very nice road. I'm afraid it would take me a full day (like 8 hours or so) to drive that 150 km, stopping every 10 minutes to admire scenery...
PS. I'd sleep on one of the sofas. They look longer than those beds. :)
Did you not watch Itchy Boots Freddie? She would have told you about gravel roads.
Color grading off the charts here, just like shot on film 👌
👍👍
Beautiful country. A Royal Enfield Himalayan would have been a nice bike for this trip? Thanks Freddie. 👍
I would love to take my Classic 350 signals DESERT SAND there! 😁✌️
I've become your fan .
.
Love to watch your vlogs.
.
🎉❤
Get a T7, bigger bottles of water, forget about having some coffee run retro look thing going on and that hotel can can sleep 6 as one can sleep on a couch if need be. Other wise you are a legend and look forward to your landy adventures
I am loving your videos Freddie definitely one adventure I need to do. You should squeeze in the bike name and brand on the end of the video title to pull in much more traffic. I am physically unable to ride at the moment due to a nasty vaccination reaction but next summer hopefully I will do it.
Great video. Really enjoyed it. Beautifully shot and amazing scenery. Please state miles as well as kilometres though. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us 🙂
Inspiring ! Definitely getting my butt off the chair and heading out for adventures
This series gets better and better. Incredible scenery and a great choice of music to go with the scenery 👍
Such a fantastic series of videos. Thank you so much for the inspiration to get out there and ride! (PS - What is that music/song during the outro?) Thanks Freddie for taking us on this amazing journey.
You are a brave soul Freddie, inspirational to spectate your adventure. Thank you.
Hi Freddie. Loving the trip. Gees how is the ride just you and no cars. Regards John from Australia Gold Coast
Really glad you enjoyed it John! I loved it- it really added to the feeling of adventure!
Once again Freddie excellent 👌
Great work, great TV 🤘🇮🇪☘️
I'm am ardent follower of your channel, Freddie. It's relatable to me as I ride a 2016 Street Twin and love exploring on it.
Can I suggest that you tilt forward that insta360 clamp holder that you've clamped on the centre of your handlebars. They are hazardous to you and can be like a stab in the face should you (God forbid) meet with an accident and you jerk forward face first.
Pardon me if I sound gory, but it's just my work in the OHS field that's made me nervous seeing that sticking out like that in front of you...
Great video, Thanks for taking us on your adventure!.
Every time I see one of your videos, I get so tempted to sell my bike for a Bonneville. Maybe one day
I enjoy watching the enjoyment you have, got to say you have some balls mate. Are you missing Monica? It's odd not having a glimpse of Monica on your vlog
7:39 poster shot, such stunning landscapes. Wise decision to turn around to find tarmac.
The level of quality on these videos is outstanding! Freddie’s way of words at explaining situation is that of a true reader! I am always happy to see his videos. Keep it up
Really enjoying this series 😊. Amazing you have done these life changing experiences.
I just got off of a double from work (it's 7am here). Sitting down at my favorite coffee shop enjoying this video of adventure, and can't wait for my motorcycle trip to Europe this summer....thank you so much Freddy for the content!
Beautifully filmed and framed as always Freddie
Really dig your inspired and inspiring videos. Keep them coming…
simply amazing! Your videos always hit the spot
Brilliant video again Freddie. Keep them coming ;)
Thanks Tom🙌🏻🙌🏻
I'm really enjoying being along for the ride, Freddie. What an adventure.
Another great episode, this series is truly awesome, keep it up Freddie, you're doing great! 👍👍
gotta say Freddie your bike stories and motorcycle reviews are really good and better than one of my benchmark favorites...Motorcycle Travel Channel and that is saying a lot ...all the best ...keep up your good works ...Aussie viewer
👍
You are clearly a far better rider than you credit yourself, those roads were sketchy as hell in places and you rode over them like a boss.
