- This year, I had the incredible opportunity to join the Royal Enfield One Ride, a global celebration where over 30,000 bikers from 50+ countries take to the roads. It’s an event that brings the motorcycle community together, united by the love for adventure and the timeless charm of Royal Enfield.
Our ride began at the Small Cross Royal Enfield dealership in Derby, and despite the forecast showing relentless rain, we were determined to hit the road. About 20 committed riders braved the elements, geared up for a journey through the Peak District to Monyash.
As we navigated through the rain-soaked roads, the camaraderie and thrill of the ride made every mile worth it. The weather may have been against us, but the spirit of the One Ride prevailed! We powered through the worst rainy day of the year, pushing our limits and proving that nothing can stop the passion of Royal Enfield riders. 🌧️🏍️
From navigating slick bends to conquering the challenging weather, this ride will go down as one for the books! Hi Simon, I really like the black-and- yellow one absolutely fantastic looking bike. It would take a bit of looking after the keep it nice and clean. Anyway that’s the way it goes. Good to see you’ve got your wife with you. Hope she doesn’t get too wet and get that blonde hair. All nice and dirty. He won’t be happy. lol thanks Cliff, I do think the royal Enfield colours are great. I would be tempted for that 450 guerilla for the Mrs once she’s got her full license. We just need some sunny days here ☔️🏍️💨💨💨💨
Sorry about the weather you had. We were 110 riders in Brisbane Australia on a stunning sunny day. You still had a great day.
I saw some pictures from around the world and I think we got the worse day weather wise lol. I recon we would of had a fair few more otherwise. I did see more riders from other dealerships when we stopped.
As I’m sat here now it’s pissing it down so no change here. Looks like you guys had a good turnout. I saw some India rides with 700 or more.

A brave ride but nothing compared to India!! Shame there wasn't a Classic 500 in the group to show its tail light to the new Classic 350's 🙂
I’m sure there would of been some classic bikes out but unfortunately the weather let us down.

With the Himalayan I don't mind the stand. I find it easy to get on by stepping on either foot peg and swing over and getting it off of the side stand. I push on the right side peg and it rights up really easily. So I'm a fan of the side stand(:-)
Yes it doesn’t bother me but my buddy has made a change to his because he struggles with swinging his leg over. It would be good if they bring out an adjustable one so people have the choice. I think it depends on how tall you are as well.
@@thatbikersimon I got a bad hip so I get on like getting on a horse. Should tell him to try that. You don't have to do a round house kick to get your leg over(:-)
I got halfway to Derby then turned back. Too much rain for my "waterproof" kit. Well done all those who braved the monsoon conditions.
I think even the best of waterproofs wasn’t going to stop that lol. I was a bit soggy around the edges, but at least there wasn’t a queue in the chippy 😂👍🏍️💨💨💨
