    Ronnie, as he was commonly known, was not just some grinder either. He is widely considered to not only be one of the toughest, but also on the shortlist of best football players EVER.
    In ’89 when it looked like the lights were dimming on the Niners’ dynasty amid an increasingly contentious quarterback controversy - it was Lott who called the players only meeting during Week 11, rallying the team to a playoff berth - and perhaps their most improbable Super Bowl victory yet.
    Today we present, The CRAZY Story of Ronnie Lott Cutting his Finger Off.

    I went thru these same issues at age 17 while Playing High School Ball and ended up having the same result. As a defensive end, I had gotten my middle finger caught between an opposing players face mask and helmet, breaking it badly, to the point where it had looked like a zippo lighter. Tons of medical tape and 3 games later I had broken it at least 2 more times before I stared getting concerned. The bone in my fingertip was basically dust and my finger would swell up terribly and hurt like hell because my body was then trying to reject those tiny bones that were dislodged from my body. As it did that, it would hurt like hell and I was at risk for infection. So, instead of just having it cut off I actually had it "seized up", which basically means that a substance was shot into the joint of my finger above the break and it caused my bones to fuse back together, making my finger permanently rigid/stiff above the knuckle. Here I' am over 20 years later, I've broken it at least 10 more times and will soon have it amputated. I should've done it 20 years ago. Unless it's a thumb, it's not really that big of a big deal.

      I dislocated my pinky 15 years ago at age 36 while playing touch football with my teenage son and his friends...I went to intercept a pass and the ball hit my pinky straight on because it was getting dark out...I went to the ER and they popped it back in...trouble is I reinjjured it at work so it popped out a little I guess..
      15 years later my knuckle is very big and the pain is tremendous...I can't bend it anymore and I can't use it...when I use my hand it hurts like hell afterwards...
      I guess I'm gonna go to a doctor soon but I'm afraid what they might say...

      @michaelmcguffin7160 10 месяцев назад

      I tore a tendon in my pinky about 20 years ago and I thought I had dislocated it, so I was having everyone try to pull it back into place and stomp on it to get it back into place. It used to get caught on things all the time (doing cross overs playing ball was the most frequent) but there's not much pain anymore
