Reason why bosses that link to other videos are bosses/alternate endings is because they was not part of this video when i created it.
also I need to state that this is Lylat wars (Eu version of star fox 64, name had to be changed for copyright issues), some things the people say might be a little different from the actual star fox 64
My high-score is 1849 in case anyone wanted to know :P Игры
The ending where he has hallucinations of his father was one of the most memorable moments in video game history I've ever experienced.
Same
I like that James showing up is never explained. Was Fox hallucinating or was that actually the ghost of James?
@@cangrejopendejo4909 it's never stated. In the latest Star Fox game. James shows up and helps again, but this time Andross actually acknowledges James' presence ("Curse you James McCloud. Why won't you stay dead?!")
@@crazyman7671 maybe that implies that in that star fox universe, James mcloud found out how to use the portal to maybe go back in time and return therefore creating a paradox, aka play throughs until a sequel comes out that explains it
@@plissken94th57 I could see that. It would show that that easily dismissive line from Andross was actually a clue to his physical presence after all
And can we appreciate that, though this guy is really good at the game, they stall the boss fights to show us all the attack patterns? Top notch gameplay demonstration right there, good job.
I still remember the first time I beat this game for real, not the fake ending. I was down to my last life, after beating Andross and because I kept crashing into that stringy base in his brain my life bar was empty, one hit and I'm dead. I heard "follow me fox" and the next minute was so freaking intense. I kept thinking I was going to crash, and my heart was pounding so damn hard but then I saw the opening and I heard "You've become so strong Fox" then I accelerated the plane forward, and when I saw that place shoot out just inches ahead of that fireball, I threw my controller down and just kept screaming "YES! YES! YES!" I think I was only 14 at the time but damn that was a great day.
Haha.
I can relate to that
Just be happy that wasn't the master hand from Smash Bros, trust me never try to fucking try to kill him on hard, well I did once but FUCKIN HALF MA LIFE, IVE BEEN TRYING TO!!!!!!!,one life 232% one hit and I'm dead 25.hp for the master hand I was pikachu, thunder bolt did the job, I freaking broke MA controller, even though I had to wait seconds for the other one, ahhhhhhh that was the best day ever, I learned something that day:dont play Smash Bros if ur not use to fighting games. .-.
+bushbasher85 Did you beat Andross with the single laser and did escape sequence on the last life with one hit left?
I don't remember how much laser I had, but I was on my last life and had very low energy, one hit and I'd been dead. I don't know how I didn't crash, but somehow I did i
t.
bushbasher85 Then you were lucky.
The opening line if the Meteo boss has stuck in my mind for the past 20 years. "I cannot allow you to go any further." In that classy voice, just stating a fact. Such a badass way to introduce a boss fight.
he was a haughty prick
He is the one boss I remember the most when I think of starfox.
youre not as *SCHTUPID* as you look
Holy shit yes. That line randomly popping into my head yesterday is what BROUGHT me to this video lol
lol , this guy had the best opening and the last.
The best part of these Boss Battles? *The AWESOME voice acting*! Some of the best lines to me are:
"I can't believe I lost to this scuuum!" and of course.. "Cocky little freaks!"
The 3DS remake just feels like half-hearted voice actors who are only doing it for a paycheck.
+Don von Frustratio Don´t forget:
"NO! Hit the brakes!" and "I can´t STOP IIIT!"
The realistic- feeling death scream of Cyborg Andrew.
And, of course... "If i go down I´m TAKING YOU WITH ME!!!
+Don von Frustratio "Disrespectful little whelps! I'll teach ye some respect!"
"No, drop the crane now!" "I can't see, fire anyway!"
Don05 Don't forget "DO A BARREL ROLL!!!!"
"YOU'LL NEVER DEFEAT ANDROSS!"
27:27 AAAAARRRRGH!!!
Aaah! Memories!!! Who else remembers saving Falco for the first time? Or getting a "Mission Accomplished" for the first time? It felt so good!
yes
@jasper Cook That random guy Good work dude! You got it before I did, haha
That star wolf battle at Venom is one of my favorite boss battles in gaming history.
It's the best:)
Which one is venom again?
juicy26 The very last level. It's identifiable on the map as the giant green and beige planet surrounded by the green gas.
My favorite part of that train boss was hitting all the switches and making him say, "I can't stop this crazy thing!"
And the rumble pack going totally nuts while the train destroys brakepoint after brakepoint ^_^
garfreeek
and the explosions after the explosion. Ahhh, the crazy explosions.
NO! HIT THE BRAAAKES!
Cromartie my favourite quote: You're too slow! Time to end this!!!!! Kills u afterwards lol
LilPrince Killa Most satisfying explosions ever!
This is a great game. It literally inspired my science fiction books
Link me a preview
17:21
Shogun_"What's wrong? Is that is?" (Looks at health meter In his head..."WAIT! THAT IS IT!") Aaaaahhhhh!!!!!"
LOL!!!! XD
Is perfect timing
😂😂
"Aim for the open spot!"
THATS WHAT SHE SAID!! XD
OMG 🤣😂🤣
My favorite boss was probably Sarumarine. It was always funny to shoot off his Periscope and listen to him yell: "I can't see! Fire anyway!" This was easily one of the most memorable games, simply because of the way they set up the bosses. If you examine each respective boss' level, You always found inconspicuous objects that were revealed to be part of the boss. For example, throughout Zoness, you could've found the Periscope looking at you through certain sections. On Corneria, you could occasionally see the boss flying overhead. Sector-X, you could find the boss' arms. Little things like that that would later show up to kick your ass.
Solar Flare wow I never noticed that man....I played it religiously on 64
Solar Flare favorite boss: shogun warriors, why? OMG THIS IS FRICKING GODLIKE, STAR FOX TEAM FIGHTING GUNDAM KNOCKOFFS BEST BOSS EVER I LOVE IT BETTER THAN- oh they are already dead.......
(I was going to say they were better than the final boss :V)
"....that would later show up to TRY to kick your ass." ;)
Ar ha ha ha ha har!
I just call him as Captain Smith. But if he did hit you once you actually destroy him can be funny that he laughs as he got you until gets blown up at last second.
The replayability of this game still amazes me.
Just got done playing this game for the first time in 12 or so years and these bosses are definitely the highlights of the game for me along with the character lines and music.
So damn good.
I always loved fighting Starwolf. Sadly, once you get good at the game, they are no threat at all. I was a master pilot on this game back then, medal on every planet on expert. That was ridiculously hard to do. I remember the hardest medals though were fighting Starwolf on venom with their new ships. You have to take all these jokers in seconds after the fight starts or you won't medal. It probably took me dozens of attempts before I managed to do kill them that quickly. You could try to medal up off the regular route, but that's even harder. You need a ridiculous amount of kills and I could never get it that high. It's actually easier to just fight Starwolf and take them all down quickly.
Rick May, the voice behind Pepper in Star64... has unfortunately passed from Co-Vid19 complications.
Our hearts, love and condolences go out to his family and ALL gamers with whom we were honored to be part of our childhoods.
May he R.I.P.
Our condolences once again to all those affected by Co-Vid19 and the passing of Rick May.
RIP Peppy. Condolences to the family
30:40 - For those of you have always wanted to see what's inside a Hyper Beam. :P
Just what i... UNCLE AAAANDROOOSSS 5:00
Allu Gamez fox: god dammit......
😂😂
Uncle Andross!
Soooo many good memories about this game
Andross scared the fuck out of me the first time I fought him.
Original creepy pasta
Same here
Man games were something else. You don't find such bosses's music like this today. Now I'm joyful and sad altogether.
MrAbwab agree the boss music on this is game was one of the reasons this game was so great, it had your adrenaline rushing and when that boss theme came on it was go time
30:39 I can only imagine how many seizures that weapon caused
Erik Lakeland I can still remember my mom feeling me to stop playing this game for the same reason
Fox: Holy mother of Jesus Christ! Thanks, Falco!
I remember how with the very first boss there, the walker, I would blow off his leg as soon as it let me start shooting, then loop around and blow him up in less than thirty seconds. I got all proud of young me. imagine how shocked I was to realize that he was the easy boss...
He beat me and my cousin almost 15 time when bot have 9 years old 😂 so many memories
The first ever time I fought him the fight took me like 20-30 minutes and I still died. Later on I got so good that I was able to beat him almost as soon as he appeared, I counted 10 seconds
Star Fox 64 is one of those amazing games that cannot be described in words, as nothing I can say will be adequate enough to describe an amazing thing that can only be experience firsthand.
Every moment in this game is coordinated and thought out to be as intense and memorable as possible. It's beautiful
2:20 The most epic boss for me.
I cannot allow you to go any further
Wait, so I have to devote 40 minutes of my time to view a montage of every single boss in Starfox 64?
GLADLY
22:15 I remember being a little kid and playing Macbeth, all I could think about was "SHOOT THE F*CKING SWITCHES, DID I GET 'EM ALL!? DID I???"
Same
Lol
same :D
yes
Honestly I didn't figure out how to shoot all the switches until recently and I've only beat the Andross (hard) once because I could never beat sector Z until recently too
tfw you got onto this video in hopes of seeing Fox's Father save his Son. I was not dissapointed. Good Guy Uploader.
The explosions when you beat a boss were insane! Particularly with the rumble pack
I ever love always when Slippy says "enemy shield analyzed" xd
Jeremy B that little snippet with the boss music... goosebumps you know after that it was go time
The sound design for tis game is absolutely outstanding. It's one of the greatest aspects of the game.
"YOU´ll NEVER DEFEAT ANDROOOSSSS!!!!"
Enemy shield
Analyzed!!
i always watched my brother played this.
Nice memories :)
Sasuke Uchiha yup :) i will also played this but i always died lol
+thepianist126 Same here, I'd ask him to play it just so I could see the Hard ending again. I couldn't get enough of it, no matter how many times I played.
My neighbor hes like 7 and he would always let me play his games cause i always finish all the levels lol
Same here. When I was little, I only got through the easy boss of Corneria and through the easy way in Meteo. Hey, it takes time little by little and then sure enough, with a little help from my brother, I managed to get closer and closer to getting more good at this game and sure enough one day and to this day, I know how the whole thing by heart.
Watching this in sequence one thing i tend to overlook is how great the voice acting was even by today's standards and especially when you consider the times in which it was released.
I can't imagine how supremely awesome this was for people in 97
I love when the Macbeth boss says “They’re not taking me seriously!” Or something like that
29:08 You know you're a certified butt kicker when the enemy gets desperate enough to send out a planet destroying super-weapon to stop you!
Hey, guess what? The hatches are open!
I think this is one of the best games ever made.
You're not as stupid as you LOOK! 3:45
This is my favorite game in the world, my cousin and I would spent hours trying to beat it. When we finally did it was literally the BEST THING EVER. Ugh it brings back memories. ❤️
I liked the monkey on the Aateroid level the best.
Such nostalgia! Thanks for the upload!
I rebember bursting into tears because of that final dad&son moment, loved that you made it more dramatic with your health critical.
Watching this gameplay after so many years is bringing back so many memories... Crazy
Voice acting, music, and sound effects were expertly designed and curated for this game. My favourite sound is that of the energy beam that the Titania boss uses. I think this is shared by the boss at the end of Area 6 also, who uses a rainbow coloured energy beam.
Do the FUCKING barrel roll.
Never!
This is such an incredible video!
"I must be complete." Spyborg's last words
ahhh... all the good memories, this games where my childhood, thanks for the video.
Cause who doesn't love 6 mini explosions then raising their fist/paw at just the right moment for the 7th? LOL Love that moment!
Fact: You will go in all-range mode at least 3 times in any route you take.
I love this game. Brings back so many memories.
You have to fight all 4 of them regardless of where you came from or what you did before that, if you go to Venom 2.
Area 6 boss was my absolute favorite
+TRINITY F. That unavoidable beam he blasts at the end. I mean, few games make bosses where their entire attacks cover the entire screen.
You could dodge the blast but not easily
It's the hardest too
@@BlueflagAlpha id say venom starwolf was harder
Good to know I'm not the only one who somersaults after defeating the Attack Carrier.
Back down memory lane. The good old '90s
Area 6 will always be the most cinematically intense level, the music, the dialogue and final boss were dope af😊
Whats wrong? Is that it?
Aaaaaahhhh!!!
Great video bro
Going down the left side on hard was a great challenge, getting the true ending as well was cool one of the N64 vets games
This game in my opinion this was way ahead of it’s time!!
38:57 I found it very nice when Falco said “That’s our leader!”
He really does care for his allies, despite being so grumpy.
Thanks for uploading this. Ohhh the memories. :')
The boss music was to epic, it just got me more amped to beat them!
Man, I miss this game so much, legendary classic.
Can we appreciate for a moment that all the bosses have voice acting and pretty qoutable ones at that. Seriously, there are barely games that give voice acting to simple bosses in the 90s.
2:08 if you time the somersault just right you can confuse the ai into crashing into the player during the cutscene and even sometimes have more than 4 arwings on screen
I think I beat this game on hard at like 12, I had played the game on easy many times before and had always been freaked out about Andross laughing at the end while having no idea what it meant after thinking I just killed him, then when I did the hard and no laugh came I had realized why, he was dead, and for real.
Loved it for its incredible music.
The one thing I remember the most fondly of this game, "My emperor! I've failed you!" I was never quite sure why.
This takes me back to when I was a kid playing thing...the rumble pack was so "revolutionary". Such good memories. I thought that games could not possibly get better. In a way I was right, video games were at their best during this time up to the mid 2000's. Best time to grow up! On a side note you ANNIHILATED Wolf & Andrew at the very beginning. I never was that fast at killing them even with the whole team alive.
The star wolf fight and music always reminded me of an anime as a kid, i LOVED this game
This is the best game I ever played as a kid
"do a barrel roll" I'm sure I've quoted that at least 5.3 billion times lmao love me some star fox
37:49 You damaged yourself on purpose for dramatic effect didn't you?
...Maybe.
Tengu Shredder Probably Gorgon, he's was stupidly hard as a kid and I loved it
*****
Which enemy was Gorgon?
LilPrince Killa Area 6 Boss.
LilPrince Killa my favorite was probably the train boss on Macbeth or the submarine boss on zones. Lol nothing like being called a "little hyena"
The memories
if you guys want to get this bosses you just have to do the little hints they give you like the first boss before you get close to him theres like 4 or 5 holes you gotta go trough and then the path opens by itself
never knew Vulcian shot that spiral fireball
Sorry to swag, but I am in a hurry.
jet
I`m glad it has all their names!
6:55 "God is in Heaven"
"Yeah its working"
So many memories. I used to play this game a lot back in junior high.
I loved this game specially after I unlocked everything wish it had more content though the feeling you get when you hit something feels good
This game has aged remarkably well. The only 64 game that is as beautiful as I remembered it.
Perfect Dark aged well, even if it had the help of the expansion pack
@@ikaguratrue
This game was legendary for its time.
I like your video because i didnt know about bosses after u beat adross both versions of beating andross
21:40
Sailor Mars - FIRE SOUL!!!
I like the way your mind works...
I love this game. My childhood.
You are a good gamer... :-) thanks for uploading
my son remembers this game and he could never beat it
Kimberly Shumate Same!
It's funny that the "easy" path has the harder bosses, whereas the hard path seeems to hinge on your ability to fulfill stage conditions to keep going toward area 6
22:15 “NOO, HIT THE BRAKES! .... IIII CANT STOP IITTTTTT “ * crashes into his own base and explodes * Mechbeth always deserved his ultimate ‘other’ ending for making us go through all that garbage in that level
I LOVE the SF64 Bosses! They're all so awesome! Such personality! And some of 'em are just so damn cliche, but that's what makes them great. They're cliche to the point that it makes you feel like you're in a movie XD Ah memories... Where have you gone to, my childhood?
Never had the chance to go through all the hard stages so going back and attempting it but also gonna upload this for people to see 😎👌🏽
Anyone else felt like they were in Independence Day when playing on Katina???
That mission was inspired by the movie.
This game omg so many memories dayum I tell ya I played this when I got home from elementary school sometimes x3 still amazing to this day x) I still think James is alive that was too real not to be him
This is amazing! So many memories! I can't play that good but it's so fun to watch! I almost cried at the end! lol
BTW I just subbed :3
I remember playing this as a kid. This game is fuckin epic.
