@Azrael666Azazel It wasn't rotten, they fermented it in salts, oils and wine to prevent it from rotting. It's extremely healthy and nutritious, retaining many amino acids, vitamins and minerals. It was a condiment, a paste, as well and not a dish like lutefisk is.
You know I bet they could have gotten the real Gordan Ramsey to impersonate himself on this show. . He loves being on TV. Right now he's on four different shows on TV.
I thought the rotton fish was actually a sauce called garam (or something of the like) that was made from fish guts, vinegar, wine(or grape musk) and fermented XP
I'd try all of that except the brains of a goat because I have a phobia of prions. Other than that, I'd *try* any of this. Can't say I'd *like* it, but I'd *try* it.
@frances2308 Yes the show is epic, and no the celts do not support celtic fc. Celtic (pronounced seltick) FC is scottish, and the celts (pronounced Kelts) were welsh. and were about approx. 900 years earlier
As about the birds flying out of food, they DIDN'T do that, it's just a funny episode of Petronius' Satyricon XD But Romans liked to surprise their guests making food look like another kind of food. Quite strange indeed. Oh, they loved pork's vulva. Just saying. I love Latin and Rome, but their food was actually awful X°
I cracked on “Todays special is lump of unsalted meat” and when the roman slapped the celt with a pan
The most legendary show ever!
I am of Irish and Italian ancestry-This is priceless-the very essence of both cultures-I am proud to say I am the happy medium!
"Happy medium" :')
"pass me the pan...." always gets me
Yess same
*Gives you pan*

This is Gordon Ramsey's ancestor.
the facial expressions of Jim is priceless!
"hand me that pan" BONG!!!!

The romans had a few foods that find good. For example, Stuffed Dates. But the rotten fish guts.....
:-*
This show is so awesome. :)
@jualkyn They were fermented fish guts, it's salty, fishy and slightly spicy. It's been made on a few TV cooking shows, Heston Blumenthal loved it :s
I lost it at "Celtic Britain is a disaster, fat man!"
You would think after the third time he hit him he would stop handing him the pan.
I thought the rotton fish was actually a sauce called garam (or something of the like) that was made from fish guts, vinegar, wine(or grape musk) and fermented XP
PAN!!! ~whacks guy with pan~
l0l classic
"Aye Call this recipe, Lump uf un sawlted meat" xD
You'd think the other guy would have learned to have stopped giving him the pan.
2 things, 1: do the celts support Celtic Fc? And 2: THIS SKETCH IS EPIC!!!!!!!! XD
Wow bro so interesting
I totally didn’t watch this for history class
"are" priceless, sorry!
@HojoOSanagi lutefisk involves coating the fish in lye to jellify it
@ladywey more like:
"HELLO I'M AN ANGRY SHOUTY ROMAN CHEF"
Yesss
I wonder how King Harkinian would react to this
Of course, Italian food has improved considerably since the time of the Romans.
...Wish I could say the same about British food.
@1492irina And he does a spiffing good job at it!
he plays caligula too doesnt he
Yess he does
Am I the only one who's noticed that it's the actor who always plays the crazies in here?
Yess same
Except a mistake that there is corn on table. Corn is from america
😆 True! Romans ate a variety of grains and called them frumentum. Today, many English speakers call it all corn.
I'd try all of that except the brains of a goat because I have a phobia of prions. Other than that, I'd *try* any of this. Can't say I'd *like* it, but I'd *try* it.
shouldnt the celtic chef realize that he should duck when he gives the roman chef the pan???
@Darthbelal which is quite funny, since nearly every celebrity chef is English. :)
@adrainville there is'nt a part two
Pan!
I would've preferred the boring celtic food to the roman "food"
Well the swedish and norweigan eat rotten fish in a dish called lutefisk
@PinkCandyApple horrible histories has the same characters in every scene
there are only about 8 actors in the whole show
wait a sec....did he just call him fat?.....that's what people in england call fat?
@frances2308 Yes the show is epic, and no the celts do not support celtic fc. Celtic (pronounced seltick) FC is scottish, and the celts (pronounced Kelts) were welsh. and were about approx. 900 years earlier
lol this is what i call a real nightmare =/
@frances2308 Wow. Yknow what, thanks for reminding me I wrote that. I'm actually ashamed. :/
after all the Polish and other slavic people have blood soup, which i think is from duck
@pumpkinflowers They should have had Gordan Ramsey for this.
What series and episode pls?
As about the birds flying out of food, they DIDN'T do that, it's just a funny episode of Petronius' Satyricon XD But Romans liked to surprise their guests making food look like another kind of food. Quite strange indeed. Oh, they loved pork's vulva.
Just saying. I love Latin and Rome, but their food was actually awful X°
i feel like the food would be good if it was cooked right
NOM NOM NOM
I think I'd rather have the Celtic fare
Why does he keep hitting him with that pot?
It's funny

Garum.. vile filth made of fish guts, yum yum.

THAT is what I call G-ROSSO!
Where's part two of this?
@NattyLouCyrus No need to be a smartass, love :)

The English still can't cook, dammit.

Yes he did say fat man
Did he say fat man at 1:01?
They should replace Gordon Ramsay with this guy!!
Lie. Vomitorium did not mean vomiting food
They didn’t mention a vomitorium, they said ancient Romans make themselves vomit so they can keep eating which there is evidence of.
@unfukkkmee calm down,its a kids show
horbble
Pan!
