    So Brands are attempting to disqualify Influencers from work based on an algorithm?
    And how does that algorithm differentiate between black, white, single parent, or a large family, were they grew up, etc?
    What is the grade for a single white male, a loner, never went to college, very interested in crime and punishment, poor self-esteem, very isolated, insecure and either grew up poor or inherited a bunch of money from their family?

    By the way: The WORST department at most companies are the marketing departments. Most are friends of administration family members, pet hires of administration, and overpaid goofballs that waste the budgets on terrible marketing. Disagree?

    While I'm not supportive of random hate and random hate speech, randomly murdering Palestinians, then randomly shutting down comments by Americans who don't like Genocidal Maniacs like Netanyahu and Putin?
    At some point, Americans will realize we actually did fine before the internet if that's what they want. Protests and product boycotts actually work.

What if the people in charge of it think your views are problematic? If they start filtering people at all, then changing the filter is always just a keystroke away. Influencers still have the right to speak their minds. Nobody ever had a right to get a sponsorship deal. People saying this is the same as "social credit" need to get a grip. Influencers deemed "not suitable" for brands to use for advertising are not in danger of being imprisoned or worse.
    They just have to find a different way to make money. These are still somewhat famous people who have followers - which is more than most of us regular people have. They'll be fine.
    Brands shouldn't be getting involved in politics. Now if only the corporations that own said brands will also stop getting involved by making political donations. What's that I always hear people say? "Get big money out of politics!"

      Sounds like corporations want their cake and eat it too. They don’t want their brand representatives to get involved in politics but these brands sure as heck are involved in politics by lobbying congress in their favor. I think companies are just inconvenienced by the fact that consumers are expecting companies to act more socially responsible. Something that Gen X and Boomers only paid lipservice and didn’t really care about

    • @yumimusaka800
      @yumimusaka800 2 месяца назад +2

      @@YouAreStillNotablaze I'm criticizing companies for being inconsistent - they don't want to be perceived as peddling political influence, which is why they want to stay away from influencers that are "too political". Yet companies do peddle influence with political donations.
      IMO companies ought to consistently stay out of politics. No sponsoring political influencers, and also no political donations.
      Companies not picking certain influencers for sponsorship deals is not a violation of those influencers' free speech rights.

    *1 of 2. This is how you always need to vote:*
    We must fully criticize and _always vote_ *against* (& less authoritarian than) both the Republican *and* Democratic Parties- including *Kamala Harris,* AOC, all of the squad, Bernie Sanders, Edward Markey, Mark Pocan, the justice democrats, & all other democrats. Vote in every single election- at all levels. And also _endorse or anti-endorse,_ in all elections you can, for outside your voting jurisdiction.
    For _all_ public positions. And this same strategy applies against the one or more party-monopolies in _all_ countries worldwide.
    Real progressives will never be Democratic Members or Democratic loyalists. Never vote for _any_ Republican member or loyalist either.
    If no candidates for a position fit that bill:
    -Where _write-ins_ are permissible, always write-in an anti-authoritarian person;
    -Where write-ins aren’t permissible, always vote uncommitted or leave the ballot blank.
    This will continuously reduce the power of _all_ authoritarian parties in the party monopolies: Until our task is complete.
    Repeat strategy for all new authoritarian parties that emerge.

Vote in every single election- at all levels. And also _endorse or anti-endorse,_ in all elections you can, for outside your voting jurisdiction.
    For _all_ public positions. And this same strategy applies against the same one or more party-monopolies in _all_ countries worldwide.
    Real libertarians will never be Republicans or Republican loyalists. Never vote for _any_ Democratic member or loyalist either.
    If no candidates for a position fit that bill:
    -Where _write-ins_ are permissible, always write-in an anti-authoritarian person;
    -Where write-ins aren’t permissible, always vote uncommitted or leave the ballot blank.
    This will continuously reduce the power of _all_ authoritarian parties in the party monopolies: Until our task is complete.
    Repeat strategy for all new authoritarian parties that emerge.

      You sound very young and idealistic. While your idea may sound good on paper, in practise this would be devastating and literally open the door for the exact OPPOSITE outcome you desire. First, recognize the current divided idealogies of our voting population. The reality is: they are so divided, there is 0% chance of convincing both sides to participate in your plan. The best case scenario for you would be if you managed to convince one of the sides to follow suit. In that case, the votes of that side would become divided between those following your plan, and those continuing to vote for the establishment party of their side. Additionally, amongst those voting with your plan, due to human nature, even this group will not agree unanimously on each candidate in each race at each level of government. Thus, you will have divided the entire voting block of one side into segmented portions, preventing ANY candidates you wish to win to actually win, while also causing the current establishment representatives of this side to LOSE to the side you didn't win over.
      Let's put this in simpler terms. If you convinced the Left to go along with this, the Right would win landslides at every level of government. You would quite literally grant absolute power to one side in your quest to break down the current structure. And in that case, any chance of fulfilling your goals would be destroyed for GENERATIONS because the consolidated power of the Right would grant them the means to remove the EXISTING checks and balances on their power, and thus ensure their continued dominance for the rest of our lives and likely beyond.
      Your heart may be in the right place, but advertising this idea as a legitimate method to enact desired change shows your immense naivete to REALITY. Your plan would only succeed in a perfect world in which the human variables and corruptions of power (as well as the corruptions of the DESIRE for power) somehow didn't exist. But they do. One side would take note with glee if this plan of yours took root on a large scale, and the result would be a government made up of the most radical representatives of one side with complete control of everything, because you divided the votes of the people opposed to such.
      Unfortunately, the current structure of our government and electoral process ensures the dominance of the two major parties. If you want change, the only realistic method is to find members OF one of those two parties whom align the closest to your core beliefs, and to support them.
      This is not an election to play around with. Nor can we risk throwing away our votes for candidates who have no chance to win, when the other side is threatening the foundations of our nation so deeply. You have no idea the harm this would cause if followed, and to read your arrogant reply to an accurate comment shows your mind is closed to accepting the reality that your idealistic idea is entirely unrealistic. Just because an idea makes logicao sense and seems perfect on paper, does not in any way signifiy its ability to succeed or perform as expected in practise. That is why we have the term "human variable". Logic does not consider the illogical, paradoxial nature of humans, especially not humans around power.
      Vote for the side your most agree with, or if you need to view it differently in your mind: the side that is least detrimental to your idealogical goals. The current two parties are so starkly polarized and opposite, that there are very, very few people alive of which whom this method could not present a side to choose. Likely, if you are unable to choose between the two, it's because you are not yet firm internally in your own beliefs, even if you don't realize that about yourself.
