  • Welcome to the Ghosts of International Airports (Please note some images are for illustration only)
Fasten your seatbelts and grab your passport!
This video focuses on some the hauntings in a number of international airports around the world. Today we look at hauntings at Heathrow in London, where three apparitions are said to lurk, Dallas Fort Worth in sunny Texas, Tenerife in the Canary islands, where tragic figures seem to appear and finally Kuala Lumpur, where mischievous spirits seem to cause all sorts of interference.
At the end of the video, I explain that there will be an aviation ‘Archive’ video of various bits and pieces; some are airline memorabilia, I have letters, postcards and all sorts of things to share with you. This will be a separate video and it will be uploaded shortly after this video. There will be a new playlist called ‘Archive’ and you’ll find it there.
Some of the stories focus on historic events and I hope you feel that my video covers the sad side of history in a respectful and honest way, without the need for sensationalising the past.
As always, I hope you enjoy these tales from around the world. Feel free to leave a comment. Thank you so much for your kind words and comments. They mean so much to me.
Please feel free to Like and Subscribe to the channel.
Your support is always appreciated. Feel free to buy me a cup of tea using the Ko-fi link below. Your generosity helps to keep the channel producing new content and encourages the channel to expand and allows me to add items to the archive. Hearing stories about children ghosts always used to scare me. But now that I'm a father myself. The thought of a lost little boy sobbing his heart out, unaware that he's dead, absolutely terrified, breaks my heart. If I was there at Heathrow. I would just want to help him.

Same for me. We lost our adult son to Homicide over five years ago and the thought of him being lost between worlds is gut wrenching enough but the thought of a small child in the same situation is just unthinkable.

Glad KL was finally mentioned although I can tell you of a particular incident around 2009. Our party was a touring band that had just performed at the Jakarta jazz festival. We had an overnight layover at the airside hotel in KL International Airport. I was awoken several times at night by a lady crying right in my ear. At first, I thought one of the band members was playing a trick on me but when I turned on the lights there was no one there. One of our members actually fared way worse. He was pushed out of his bed several times during the night by a laughing child. Of course, when the lights went on , there was no child to be found. He was so spooked that he decided to sleep in reception. As he opened his door to leave he found blood all over the hand that had opened the door. We found him absolutely petrified the following day in reception. We recounted the stories to each other. On the flight we got talking to a flight attendant and recounted our encounter to her. She gave us a knowing smile but made no comment when we asked her if she'd heard of any such encounters before. At first, I just put it all down to being tired and the hotel being rather airless. But that crying was so vivid and I would know it anywhere if I heard it again.

My mum used to date a carpenter. He was an immensely physical and strong man. He told a story of staying in a hotel room prior to a flight from the UK when he felt his bed covers slip off him. Well, naturally that was the only possible rational explanation so he reached down and pulled it back up over him. Not to long after it happened again. So he pulled it back over him. A second or so later, now more Lucid and acutely weary he felt it slowly being pulled away from him. He gripped it tightly with all his strength and it was yanked from him with ease. I can't remember what happened after that but that always stayed with me and shit me up. I can't stay anywhere now and not have sleepless nights even with the room light on. I mean what the Hell was in his room and that had more strength than he did?

Such an interesting video! Great script writing and very nicely voiced! I also like how you included the history of the airport too! Being interested in aviation and paranormal activity made me click on this video immediately. We are so blinded by the isolation of ghosts in movies that we forget they can be anywhere, even in a busy place like an airport!
I have never left my country, so the only airports I've been to were the domestic parts of Sydney and the Gold Coast. With my very limited time within airports however, I do have one story that happened in the Sydney airport. My dad, grandad and I went to a section of the airport to sort out something. The airport was completely empty. As we were walking towards a flight of stairs, I saw a tall and thin, blonde woman. She was probably in her late 40s and wearing what looked like a flight attendant dress with a dark blue blazer over it. She was walking very slowly away from us. Her footsteps didn't make a sound. As we got to the top of the stairs, she was gone. Later on when we reached some office, she was standing a long distance away from the door. She stood motionlessly with her arms loosely crossed, staring at us. I was the last to walk into the office and just before I did, the woman seemingly disappeared into thin air.

Back in 1970 when I was a young boy my parents had a friend who was a serving police officer at Heathrow Airport. He told us a tale about being called with a colleague to escort off the runway the person picked up by the control tower. When they arrived at the scene a man was wandering about and he was asked what he was doing. The man replied he was looking for his briefcase. When they got out the patrol car to approach him he simply disappeared before their eyes. They weren’t shocked as they had heard about this ghost story before but it was the first time they came across him.

The entire world is haunted, basically. They're all around us. Our visible plane is just one slice of the big cake called universe. It has gazillions of it, thin and multilayered. In some places, they intersect and we end up with "visions" of ghosts. Also places with a high energy rate caused by lots of deaths or very violent ones or a combination of both (like battlefields etc) are like doorways and it's often easy for the sensitive to feel or even see them. While we live our daily lives, we also leave energy tracks, and that residual energy can likewise be felt by others, dead or alive. Intense emotions can also trigger a release of energy from the other side, because the vibrations are in sync with each other. It's all a very amazing system. Not scary at all.

I'm not sure if you're aware of this story regarding Heathrow, when I was a teenager I was reading a book on ghost stories one of which was about Heathrow. Many times, particularly late night or in foggy conditions pilots, ground staff and even police have reported seeing a figure on the runways. Descriptions are that of a figure in a Tri corn hatand a cloak. I read in the book at the time that people believed it to be the possible ghost of Dick Turpin as apparently it was one area he frequented. Keep the stories coming I've subbed to your channel.

Plane crashed, car crashes are the perfect storms for ghost activity, the body brought to a stop suddenly while the soul keeps going, it's not just some fantasy, many witnesses, like the ghost in a suit covered in jet fuel asking where he is, looking for his connecting flight.

When I worked at Newcastle International Airport, our crews used the 3rd floor corridors was creepy at night, esp 3am, 4am when we used start our shifts we used have team briefings beforehand. One early start on the 3rd floor where passengers aren't allowed, the fire doors opened themselves witnessed by 5 of my team colleagues. This airport has a very long history, used during the WW2 as RAF Woolsington for the bomber command. A few times I used get the lift up to 3rd floor, I used feel uneasy in the corridors walking to the air crew on my own. When we had our fire training, they took us over by minibus to the Fire Academy passing the airport control tower, the fire academy was very old fashioned as if time stopped still, the toilets and showers were like something out of the sixties, we just found this place very spooky it was freezing and was glad when the training session was over to get back over to the airport. Our staff park free in the long stay car park & it's a 10 min walk to get to our airport, very dark car park, creeps, I remember hearing footsteps behind me around 3.30am in the morning and they was nobody behind me, I ran so fast to get inside the airport. This was during 2022 - 2023.

Working on a computer network in a newly remodeled hospital I was working late at night to finish my work. I noticed a cleaning lady working in my area. A blizzard had blown in, and my manager came to retrieve me. He asked if anyone was in the building besides me, and I mentioned the cleaning lady. He said, "Oh, her, well she'll be okay." The next morning, he told me about the cleaning lady, and that some can easily see her, while others can't. Nothing else was said.
Later, I asked why they didn't do a clearing and send her into the light? He casually mentioned that things get cleaned during the night, and they don't have to pay her.

I've just this month had to resign from working at Heathrow after 7 years pushing trolleys. Some of my much longer serving colleagues told me about some of their experiences:
One chap used to work nights on a perimeter security checkpoint where they would frequently glimpse someone pass by their window who would quickly disappear.
A female colleague recalled seeing an air hostess in 70s looking uniform was at the smoking area at the bottom of short stay car park 3, which is now physically obscured by the Underground ventilation tower in front of it. The air hostess looked like she was simply waiting for a bus, before disappearing.
The staff room used by the trolley team in Terminal 1 was reportedly haunted, as sometimes someone might have a newspaper or something else they were holding ripped out of their hands.
The multi storey car parks are also frequently used by people committing or attempting to commit suicide, which likely only adds to the number of ghosts at the airport.

I guess this all boils down to if you believe in the supernatural or not. I’ve never had any such experience but I’m reminded of the Eastern L-1011 that crashed in the Everglades. The cause was the crew focused on a light bulb for the main gear lock. After the crash Eastern used many of the parts leftover from the crash. Immediately they had reports of the aircrew members who died being seen on different flights. It happened so much that with little fanfare Eastern removed all parts from the inventory. And after that the reports of ghost being seen stopped.

Its no wonder there would be stories of the Paranormal associated with them.. and of course, if an accident does occur in an airport or on board an aircraft, it usually involves multiple people, and or... casualties... many souls who were obviously, not ready to leave this realm, yet, they leave under extreme, and very unexpected conditions. Not directly at the airport itself, but there was a crash near O'Hare on May 25th, 1979. American Airlines Flight 191, a DC 10- had recently had engine maintenance and the engine had been reattached incorrectly. It came off at takeoff and the full plane crashed, just missing a mobile home park. No one from the plane survived, and two people on the ground were also killed. Many people who lived nearby would have their doors knocked on, but no one there, usually. There were a few ghostly figures who wanted to know what happened to their luggage. White lights were also reported at the field where the crash happened, and police went, thinking that morbid souvenir hunters had gone there, but there was no one there. Dogs would even bark at the empty field.

I''m an open minded sceptic about anything unexplained, although I don't usually research ghosts.
I have JUST come across this video though, and found it fascinating.
If ghosts DO exist, then these are the types of encounters/visuals that I could believe in.
It's strange how some "ghosts" are transparent, and yet others are deemed as solid, and look like a normal person.
What I've never understood, is why MORE psychics don't help spirits go into the light!
If I had that gift, I'd want to help these people!
I don't watch these stupid ghost hunting tv shows, although I've watched bits and pieces of them.
The EVP thing is completely unbelievable, as is the the equipment that supposedly shows joints of ghosts (that's been debunked anyway).
Thank you for your wonderful narration btw.

I've been watching "Mission Unexplained" on SKY HISTORY NOW (uk).
It features ex-military people that have had strange experiences whilst on duty.
I can't see anything about it being fiction or "for entertainment purposes only", and their stories are fascinating....and very believable.
