- For 40 years Buford Pritchett ran a custom cabinet shop in North Carolina. Now, he's the oldest person working at New Home Building Supply. Pritchett has been there for the last 23 years and is a mentor to many of the guys at work.
Pritch retired June of last year and passed away in August of 2022 age 94.
Rest in peace, Buford.
Working keeps you moving and cognitive. Some people retire and sit around which will eventually kill most people. Staying active doing something you enjoy is important.
Old breed of workers. Newer generations can learn from this.
What he is doing keeps him strong. Much better than going to boring gym.
When you think about it, 65 is really early to retire. You're still very capable at that age.
Some aren't though
@@siberiusstuph because they quit working. Use it or lose it
@@Bradley-tx6edMy old therapist was a professor until 70 and she continued work until 90. She still felt young.
Thank you granpa. For inspiring us. Dreams, Passionate and Consistency.
He’s lucky, and this is also my dream
This is great. After retirement, I hope to find something productive to keep me busy with zero stress and maximum creative fun. If I don't keep busy I think I'd go insane.
He looks so young for 91
At 53 im feeling like a real wimp after watching this. I was working hard until the 2008 crash wiped me out completely. I really went to hell for several years and had a bad accident also. I was forced to leave construction but now doing fairly physical warehouse work. Figured its all I know how to do so better cut out some bad habits so haven't drank in a year. Lost a few pounds. Im still hurting lol but honestly Ive always had certain issues since I was a kid. Physical labor I dont think was my calling but it's where I ended up. Im trying.
Hope things are getting better for you
Stay strong brother
He’s a freakin beast! 💪
He is no beast he is true gentle man.
@@sushilneupane1630 He didn't mean it in a bad way, beast is a compliment, this gentleman is indeed a BEAST.
@@Kaledrone Are you professor of literature at George Town.
@@sushilneupane1630 How old are you? 1000? How are you not up with current terms? Whenever anyone calls another person a "beast" it is regarded as a compliment, use the internet and prove yourself wrong but you probably won't because you either have dementia and will completely forget this conversation or you are just too stubborn to get proven wrong by someone from a younger generation. As they say, can't teach an old dog new tricks. This conversation was extremely pathetic.
@@Kaledrone he didnt like the comment but he seen it!
Inspiring❤
