I can't get over the fact that Ryder can just turn off the emergency hotline. Like Imagine your grandmother fell down the stairs and needs help but the only hospital/cops in your city just turned off the emergency line for a meeting. I feel like even a young child would look at that scene and know that it's wrong.

Exposure therapy is a way to learn to handle both some kinds of trauma and fears, but it HAS to be done by a licensed therapist and through slow increments. Also it has to be made clear and have a willing participant. Someone terrified of speaking in public does not get push on a 20k+ theater, they are asked where the limit is (let's say 5 people) and then, together with the therapist, they will find alternatives to make the it possible. Maybe speaking behind a curtain, then speaking with their backs turned, then with their eyes closed, then with the lights out... There will be a moment where the fear of speaking to 5 people will be less, maybe similar to speaking to 4, and when it is finally achievable to speak to those 5 people with little or manageable fear, they will start the process again with more people. Maybe 6 or jump to 7 (if the person wants and feels capable) It is a long process that will not work if you just throw a person on the deep end in the name of exposure therapy. (source: I had exposure therapy for my fears that came from trauma)
The most egregious piece of misinformation in this movie is that sea turtles can retract into their shells and that they have loving families (/s) Also why did that turtle even have to cross the street? What kind of city planning is that?
They actually cover the horrendous town planning in multiple episodes (The Goodways and the Greatways don't know how to build towns lol). In "Pups save the sea turtles" they end up building a whole tunnel to allow the turtles get to the sea and in the first episode of the Rubble centered series, the new mayor (Goodway's sister) forgets to build a bridge that allows the rest of the world access her town.... (I can't make this up💀)

If the first movie was focused on Chase and the second movie was focused on Skye, Do you think it would make sense that the third movie should be focused on Marshall?
Doesn't anyone in this kid show have the common sense to say that Adventure Bay is relying on a 10-year-old kid and his dogs who individually have a different job? What if they got two "emergency" calls around the same time? For real security and emergencies, they need to rely on well-trained adults that know what they're doing, like with the police and firemen.
Also, keep in mind that the puppies (specifically Chase and Skye) were abandoned and unloved by their former owners until Ryder showed up. Ryder is a child himself, and yet we don't see his parents anywhere. Could Ryder be an unwanted orphan who got abandoned somehow, and rescued the puppies from a similar fate as his? Paw Patrol is really depressing and fucked up if you think hard enough.
More of you take into consideratio that Ryder had all the equipment/ attire. Maybe all the pups are replacing fallen pups. And Ryder is making bank with cheap and easily replacible laborers.
Tbh the idea of an older kid or a young adult manipulating a bunch of younger kids using trackers and owning a massive police state that the younger kids eventually realise they've been taking part in but can't escape out of fear of the consequences and now need to destroy the system but the world is also entirely anthro dogs is a pretty rad idea for a dystopian horror. It's a shame the plot got taken and changed into something we were meant to agree with by a bloody Paw Patrol film. Edit: Also, ik the world isn't entirely anthro dogs but I just think it would be cool for the sake of people being able to take my dystopian horror concept seriously.
as a fan of the movie i don’t like how ryder handled chases trauma, just because something was a long time ago it doesn’t mean it won’t affect the person (puppy in question)
2:13 no no, not me still angry because in the series season one Ryder said we must let turtles do things themselves. Proceeds to not caresbout his own advice through out the series and now the full on movie. TAKE ME BACK TO SEASON ONE PLEASE
What's even more funny with him doing that and "saving" the turtle is that: 1: How does he know that the turtle has a family? 2: How's he know where the turtle lives? 3: How does he know it's the correct family?
Perhaps one of the most interesting takes I have read about the Paw Patrol movie comes from Ireland. There are articles published in Irish online newspapers, and they are rather scathing of Paw Patrol, and its propaganda, or rather the portmanteau "Copaganda". Much of the Irish publications call out the Paw Patrol as effectively a mercenary group, instead of hired to fight wars, the Paw Patrol is hired for civic tasks - police, fire, construction, sanitation, maritime rescues, and aerial rescues, because apparently, Adventure Bay has no civil services, and for that matter, neither did Adventure City. Paradoxically, Adventure City does have prisons, but I suspect they were privatised, which is where much of the Irish articles centre on - the privatisation of civil services, and deregulation, afterall, Ryder is a child labourer, and leader of the Paw Patrol, that effectively makes him a CEO. The use of animal mascots does work as a shield, no one would question why their vital services should he handled by a ten year old boy, and his adolescent puppies, because they are cute, I'll bet if Ryder and the Paw Patrol were government employees, the libertarians would would call this "Statist Propaganda", which is the role mayors Humdinger and Goodway represent - incompetence and favouritism, things to establish them as untrustworthy. Overall, I recommend reading the Irish Times, they have some of the most interesting things to say, when it to comes to privatisation running amok, Ireland knows only too well what that looks like.
@@elishafollet5347 I think that's an interesting thing to look at though. What are these children's shows telling kids? Especially when the creators aren't really thinking about the message as much as money. Children's media isn't a garbage category that we can afford to put no thought or scrutiny into.
Practically North Korea movie where everybody is watched ruled by one person and everyone looks like they’re having a good time from the outside but from the inside it is hell on earth with the skin
14:37 okay I’d say Rider is being barely responsible here, there’s a reason police have body cams, and knowing where the few people (or um, dogs) qualified to deal with emergencies are is extremely helpful
What surprises me the most is that all of these people battering the series probably wouldn't be doing that if the movie hadn't been a theatrical release. The series got this level of attention and drama just because of the movie. Like between 8 and 10 years after the series first began airing anywhere.
not even a minute in n I'm fuming, ik this is meant to be a kids movie and all that save the turtle eco friendly stuff, but what trucker, in their right mind, would swerve their 32 ton diesel truck for A BABY TURTLE!!! what happens when all that diesel hits the water? you want the baby turtle to die from diesel or from a truck? Keep in mind that the spill is gonna wipe out the whole eco system and not just the baby turtle. oh M G, the loss of immersion is immeasurable... and m day is ruined- edit: apparently it was carrying syrup, which is less bad, but the ecosystem is still ruined, just to a lesser extent ig- MY POINT STILL STANDS
As a child watching Paw Patrol was a fun ride. And as i grow older i realize something, why do the town people only got high tech talking to do the work, where is ACTUAL policeman and firefighter and stuff? Why do they put so much trust on a dog to do a man job? Where do they came from?
To be honest, I think in my opinion, the show is worse than the movie since I really like the animation The show is literally only made for toys and God dammit why is Nick Jr. so obsessed with it? They always air it every single day If you want to take a look at the schedule
You realize that MLP was made for the same reason right? it’s a good show that nobody gives a chance well people have to make money to pay their bills somehow and guess what the creator of the original Bob the builder created the show so go do some research before talking crap
I miss Rescue Heroes Global Response Team, at least they worked in tadem with local emergancy services rather then bought them out and dissolved them. oh and all their dogs were at least 4 years old which is way more grown up and responsible then a damn puppy!
The reality of this movie, to me, feels more like a video game world than anything. A video game where Rhyder is the main player character and the puppies are party members. The whole movie feels like some sort of video game playthrough.
12:55 so cement actually takes time to do its thing and get up to full strength, so the problem isn’t the implications of using cement in this scenario, it’s that cement is in no way a quick solution for emergencies. The cement can easily be broken up tomorrow using power tools, because it’s not remotely strong enough today to “stabilize the foundation”
Seeing someone who probably hasn’t seen a single Paw Patrol episode dissecting the movie is funny because they don’t realize that multiple members of the Paw Patrol are missing and are barely used to begin with, but they are there and are presumably the only rescue force in the regions they normally are, so the Paw Patrol has more control than just Adventure City and Adventure Bay
It's a joke I'm pretty sure the majority of folks here know it's just a generic corporate cash cow that the writers don't put much though into aside how much money it will make em lol
Exactly,I’ve found so much Paw Patrol garbage in the bulk trash, just more junk to choke the fish and dolphins in the ocean. Honestly can’t stand this show, too generic and ugly, even when I was a kid,I probably wouldn’t like it.
Why do the dogs talk? HOW do the dogs talk? Why do they have human-level intelligence? The theory about Ryders family being super rich scientists that genetically engineered super-smart talking dogs long before Ryder was ever born makes sense now.
Unaccurate things this movie got about sea turtles: 1: How did the baby turtle went over the bridge? 2: sea turtles can't tuck their heads and limbs into their shells 3: Sea turtles, or any turtle for that matter, don't care abour their kids.
0:56 "all emergency services bundled together in one big private company" we have that here in South Africa, it works. Just because something is privatised doesn't mean it's bad.
i think it would be so much better if they were a team that ASSISTED the emergency services like transformers or something instead of being the ONLY emergency services team

Maybe 6 or jump to 7 (if the person wants and feels capable)
It is a long process that will not work if you just throw a person on the deep end in the name of exposure therapy.

The most egregious piece of misinformation in this movie is that sea turtles can retract into their shells and that they have loving families (/s)
Also why did that turtle even have to cross the street? What kind of city planning is that?
@bruhmoment5974you'd be surprised how many people would completely miss the joke and think he's being serious without the /s
@@joaquimazambujaalvesdarosa355 And boy we eat that shit up, it's funny.
Edit: Also, ik the world isn't entirely anthro dogs but I just think it would be cool for the sake of people being able to take my dystopian horror concept seriously.
as a fan of the movie i don’t like how ryder handled chases trauma, just because something was a long time ago it doesn’t mean it won’t affect the person (puppy in question)
what's interesting, is that in a lot of children's media about police, the Mayor is often times seen as a villain

I love when people overthink random shit about innocent kids films that are just meant to make money and have no deeper meaning to them lol
@@elishafollet5347 I think that's an interesting thing to look at though. What are these children's shows telling kids? What surprises me the most is that all of these people battering the series probably wouldn't be doing that if the movie hadn't been a theatrical release.
The Paw Patrol tried saving baby turtles.
