    🔎 Today, we will discuss 8 essential vitamins and minerals that can help lower blood pressure and ways to naturally obtain them. By learning how to incorporate them into your diet, you can take control of your health and lower your blood pressure.
    8. Potassium is an essential nutrient for reducing blood pressure, as it acts as a relaxant that loosens blood vessels, while salt tightens them, and studies show that dietary potassium can significantly improve hypertension.
    7. Magnesium is essential for keeping the heart healthy, regulating the amount of calcium and other minerals in cells, and reducing high blood pressure.
    6. Calcium plays a vital role in managing hypertension by regulating the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system, which helps regulate blood vessel constriction and relaxation, and interacts with important vitamins to regulate inflammation systems, as well as promoting strong and healthy bones.
    5. Vitamin B12 is important for keeping red blood cells healthy and boosting energy, which helps manage high blood pressure, and works with other essential nutrients to maintain cardiovascular function, as well as being vital for brain and nerve health.
    4. Vitamin C is important for heart health, increasing nitric oxide levels that relax blood vessels and improve circulation while lowering overall stress on the heart, reducing inflammation linked to cholesterol damage, and supporting a healthy immune system.
    3. Vitamin D helps maintain a healthy immune system and normalizes levels of calcium and phosphate, and research suggests it may help reduce high blood pressure.
    2. Vitamin K plays a vital role in regulating calcium, which is important for strong bones but can accumulate in arteries and lead to heart disease.
    1. Vitamin E helps regulate blood pressure by acting as an antioxidant that prevents the oxidation of LDL cholesterol, which can contribute to high blood pressure.

    Sugar increase blood pressure more then salt, so whole grain and high GI fruit would negate the affects of potassium, fish, meat, leafy greens are all high in potassium and low in sugar.

      Not all "health advisors" are knowledgeable. Especially, when they say to eat fruits, grains and nightshade vegetables.This is very problematic, for me.
      Thank god, I have few functional doctors to take sound advice, and I'm following them religiously. Take care.

    You SHOULD have stressed that it's the vit K2 that works along the vit D. The K1 has no such effect.
    And that the vit E should be taken in all its EIGHT forms together, because they work together - don't split the family!

    • @dominusstyx
      @dominusstyx Год назад +1

      You're absolutely right, it's the K2 (MK7) that does the heavy lifting, along with D, of course. And the most important vit E is Tocotrienols.
      Not all "health advisors" are knowledgeable. Especially, when they say to eat fruits, grains and nightshade vegetables.This is very problematic, for me.
      Thank god, I have few functional doctors to take sound advice, and I'm following them religiously. Take care.

    "Aha" moment listening to this video today.
    My husband always pushes back with a lib comment that he eats his greens, he eats salad. Well, his idea of salad is Iceberg lettuce and it finally dawned on me that NONE of the healthy food recommendations include or even mention Iceberg lettuce. It's not in the leafy greens or cruciferous vegetables lists. Huh!

    • @HeartDiseaseCode
      @HeartDiseaseCode  Год назад

      It's great to hear that you had an "aha" moment while watching the video and considering the choices in your husband's diet. Iceberg lettuce, while commonly used in salads, is indeed different from other leafy greens like spinach, kale, arugula, and romaine lettuce in terms of nutritional content.
      Iceberg lettuce is known for being crisp and refreshing, but it tends to have a milder flavor and fewer nutrients compared to its darker leafy green counterparts. While it does contain some vitamins and minerals, it is lower in fiber, vitamins, and antioxidants than other leafy greens.
      This realization can be a helpful starting point for encouraging a more diverse and nutritious salad for your husband. Incorporating a variety of leafy greens and colorful vegetables into salads can provide a broader range of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients, contributing to a healthier overall diet.
      Remember that dietary preferences can vary from person to person, so it's important to find ways to make healthier choices enjoyable and satisfying for your husband. Experimenting with different salad greens and vegetable combinations might be a fun way to discover new flavors and textures while boosting the nutritional value of his salads.
