For so many of us, watching you and your journey isn't about any competition, or any score, but so much more. You coming back to gymnastics, on your own terms, treating your body right through injury, being EVEN STRONGER than before, and showing so many adults that they aren't too old for their dreams, that's worth more than every worlds or Olympic medal in the world. I really think that the world is going to see the ripple effects of your journey in ways that no one could have imagined Don't get me wrong -- i would die to see Mr. Daggett eat his words again 😏😏 -- but know that what you've done is so important, no matter what.
is it possible to like this twice? XD seriously though, if you're doing this because you love it, then eventually nobody's going to be able to catch you.
I think gymnastics as a whole is changing. The US Olympic teams are getting older and gymnasts aren't retiring as early. It's really neat to see Chellsie's side of things! It's amazing to come back after having children and being out of the sport and do what she has done.
I think it’s a confluence of factors that aligned at the right time-how the sport has changed, improved training methods and equipment, technology, etc.- that created opportunities that weren’t previously available, BUT, only really possible for a gymnast with excellent technique, and that was ahead of the curve about training smarter, not harder, during her earlier career. Chellsie always had excellent technique, with the exception of her block on vault, which was average. And now she’s developed a great block, too. Amazing. 😎 If the forward landing isn’t too risky to the health of her ankles, I’m sure she could get a consistent Amanar!
No, it is not normal. Just some people can do that, something with how their brain functions in combination with their body, memory and space awareness.
Chellsie is the reason that I started training for a marathon again. I hadn't run in over 2 years and I'm almost a month in and each day I'm more excited (I'm even making time for training while I'm getting my Master's in Nursing!). I honestly don't think I would be doing this if you hadn't started training again, so thank you Chellsie! I felt like it was a dream I'd have to abandon, but your determination and drive are honestly so inspiring. 💪🏃🏼♂️
Oh Chellsie, I’m crying!!! I’m glad you did not let the last competition defeat you! You have so much more to give and I was hoping this was the conclusion that you would reach. I love watching you do what you LOVE, what you were made for! You are an inspiration in more ways than one. ❤️❤️
You really show gymnastics being in a fun, supportive, and healthy environment which is missing from the elite scene way too often. We're proud of you no matter what, you're doing so much for the adult gymnastics community!!!
You learned a piked tkatchev in 8 turns? You blow my mind. I’m your age and quit gymnastics so many years ago. I continued to coach for about 10 years and absolutely still love the sport. Your journey has been so inspirational. Keep it up, girl!
Hey Chellsie, I’m not a gymnast, but I have to tell you this. Your journey and tenacity for your passion has been incredibly inspiring. I’m a professional in healthcare, but I’ve been dreaming of pursuing my true passion, art, for years. It’s so discouraging often seeing all the young talents out there, but seeing you chase your passion and work diligently like this has hit me very close to heart. THANK YOU.

If you think about it almost everyone else at that comp has spent the past 4/5 years building up to that moment! To get as far as you have in a quarter or less of that time is insane! Look forward to seeing what you do next! 💜💜
Watching you on this journey has been so cool. I started taking an adult rec gymnastics class when I was 30. I’m now 43 and still going at it! No world championships in my future but I love flipping, staying in shape, and just trying to learn something new in the sport. My 7 yo daughter goes to the same gym now and I love that she can see that gymnastics isn’t just a sport for kids.

Regardless where you take your journey with gymnastics you are such an inspiration to all of us. I have been struggling with alcoholism and depression and watching you overcome so many obstacles has pushed me to try harder to overcome my own. After following you for a year now I can say I am able to run a mile again and feel amazing. Please keep your life journey going because you are more of an inspiration than you know. ❤
That piked thingy on bars was so fetch. Also, the interaction with the little Memmels was so sweet. You know, I am sorry you didn‘t make it to Trials, Chellsie, but it would have been a miracle had you been able to close the gap that quickly. The other women weren’t sleeping to prepare for these Olympics. You are so close, though. Maybe a couple of more meets. A few more months. Whatever your journey brings, you are inspiring to your fans and bring light and energy to our days. Thank you!
Chellsie, It is such a joy to see you train and enjoy the sport also as a young mother/wife! I hope that this is gonna bring a change to the sport, and we'll see more "adults" in the future! :)
Nothing wrong with with crying and being disappointed. Feel it be it it’s ok. You know you are amazing and such a inspiration to all of us . Keep moving forward whatever you do you have already won !

I have always tried to tell my daughter it is what you do after a disappointment that matters.... Thank you for sharing your journey-- glad that it is continuing!
The only goals & expectations that matter are your own. We are so fortunate that you put this out here for us to watch & be inspired by. You're an amazing woman, Chellsie.
I love that you are still excited to keep going! The competitions are great goals to have and something to strive for but its been the journey that has been the best part of this and allowing us to see who you truly are, someone who is resilient, courageous and deals with all the attention (and pressure) with such grace. Its not just the gymnastics that are impressive but your spirit, and watching the support of your entire family. After the past year we have all endured so much... its just great to see something that resembles hope and positivity. Keep on going, Chellsie!

Stay strong and Memmel on!!! This mama of 4 is cheering you on!! My kids just look at me like I’m crazy when I’m crying over your routines. So much inspiration right there!
You are a true champion! Your inspiration to show everyone that age is just a number is amazing! What you have given us is worth more then any gold medal. I hope you continue this journey as long as it is the right path for you. There is so much love for you!
All I can say is NOICE girl! Proud of you! You inspired me to do a front and back walkover today! AND stretch for more than 3 minutes! 😂 love watching you worm, you are amazing!
I am so glad you are going to try for worlds! We still need to see and cheer for your gymnastics. That being said you owe us nothing and its been a gift to watch you again. I am here for every minute of it. Chell yeah! Memmel up!
For the not so young athlete (in many of us) you are an inspiration and motivator to keep active and aim for the "stars". The journey is the reward and you must be proud of all that you do. What you have done is beyond what other athletes have attempted and you break the rules with every step you take. You and your family are truely remarkable.
Worlds would be pretty neat. I think it would be super cool if you got a vault medal at a major international competition. But don't be too hard on yourself. You have only had two meets back. And you did really good night 1 of nationals. Competitions are like practice and you have to get used to them again. You haven't had much recent competition experience and its hard to do because of COVID. It would be really cool to see you do world cups. Honestly, if you are here longer and if you do decide to try for Paris 2024, I think it would be a better for you especially since your entire family seems to be a huge part of your journey. I think its the sweetest thing ever. In Paris, your entire family would be able to come and watch you compete live.
I was born in 87. Its hilarious to think back when I saw you in the olympic trials way back in yesteryear as a teenager, a gymnast in her 20s sounded ancient. Now that we are in our 30s I still feel like a baby and you are my hero. I wanted to be a gymnast so bad as a little girl and Ill honestly never be a gymnast now but you're proof that you dont have to be old just because the world says so. I am rooting for you the whole way. Youre one of the reasons I hit the gym every morning. Body goals girl.
"I'll honestly never be a gymnast now" not with that attitude you won't, queen! unless there are physical or financial or other barriers, you could get started with gymnastics whenever you want! and you know what they call a person who does gymnastics? a gymnast ez 👏
These have to be the coolest memories for you and the kids! Whatever direction you take with competitions, doesn’t matter, because you are a champion.🥇🙌🏻
SO glad to hear this. I saw the title of the vid and pumped my fists in the air, "Yesss!". The timing of your training leading up to competition is everything, as you know, and I feel like maybe this competition was just a few weeks early for you. You were still on your way UP. So now you have the time to actually get where your body can go by the time Worlds rolls around. I believe in you, your amazing ability to master gymnastics skills, your unteachable competitive spirit. You ABSOLUTELY still have the ability to compete on the world stage. Go get 'em!!!!!!
Omg watching the kids in the gym with you is always my favorite footage. Would be sooo cool to watch them and follow along if they decide to follow in mommy's footsteps. Your courage and determination amaze me. I will continue to watch and pray for you as you continue this journey
Even more excited now knowing that you plan to continue. You will have more time to showcase your best at the world scene. Step by step, Chell! You got this.
Go Chellsie! I absolutely love how amazing your comeback has been: my 16 year older has struggled in the sport and you have given her a spark back. You are amazing.
I'm always blown away at your talent Chellsie. I was so heartbroken for you last week. I was so hopeful you would continue because you're just SO TALENTED and I couldn't imagine your journey ending so abruptly after all your hard work! I'm so excited for you and can't wait for worlds!!
Chellsie you got this. I believe in you! Chelsea will believe and yourself you are amazing. I am praying for you to keep going and working hard. I am so glad that I can watch you make a wonderful comeback.
To do what you have done is hands down the most spectacular thing! I wish I still had your "umph" to push forward and continue working! You are definitely an inspiration to so many!!!!
Chellsie, you have gone WAY further than you originally thought you would, so anything you do from this point forward, is ALL gravy! Keep loving the sport and you can never lose. :) You are an inspiration to so many gymnasts!
Nothing erks competitive people more than having an off-day on the day you need to hit. 😡😡😡😡😡 It takes mental toughness to reset after a crappy workout day, and 1000x that to bounce back when it happens at a competition. You’re teaching your kids _invaluable_ lessons with this. How to work at something you love, especially when it’s hard (because just because you love it, doesn’t mean it’s always easy). How to recover from physical and emotional setbacks and harness it to take you to a new level. You’re incredible, Chellsie!
I know I want to take beginner gymnastics SO bad but it’s not available in my area. Any smart gym owners should offer it right now because Chellsie has inspired so many of us to want to do it!
I honestly think they should raise senior level to 18. Imagine if these girls hadn't of had to put their bodies through such things at these insanely young ages. Maybe just maybe their career wouldn't be over early 20s. Well, unless your awesome like Chells. My problem was they were never going to take her not ever. They would have been too worried about her getting injured because to those in gymnastics past the age of 30 your a coach of the mother of a gymnast. But maybe your way would be better I just want the kids protected the last few years have shown us the glaring lack of protection too many of these kids face
@@cindygr8ce problem with that is that most NT gymnast want to do college gymnastics too so they would only have maybe 1 year as a senior elite if you want to do college and raising the age to 18 would force gymnast to choose between 2 dreams basically and it would significantly shrink the field of elite gymnastics
I’m so proud of you for not giving up and just keep on going doing what you absolutely love no matter what happens. I love that! Japan Worlds 2021 here we come!
Seeing you push forward after the setback at championships....that is what is so inspiring. It's wonderful to see you doing this for yourself and not only for a title or honor.
CHELLSIE I AM OVERJOYED that you will be going for your 4th world championships after all these years!! You actually made me like conditioning at gymnastics again.😅😅Idk how you did it but thank u! At gymnastics I always say to myself “do it for Chellsie!”.
You say the meet didn't go as you wanted but don't forget how amazing you were on the vault and beam! Very few out there were any better. I'm so glad you're keeping at it. Seeing you get that pike release was awesome, that's one skill I never have understood how is even possible (how do you not hit your feet?!) Anyway, I have never liked that women seem to be expected to retire gymnastics so early, it has to be the only sport out there that is this way...part of it must be the extreme demand to stay in shape for a sport like this but you would think that lots more women would want to keep doing it beyond their early 20s. I'm really into ballet and the principal dancers are usually the older ones, some of my favorite active dancers are older than me (I'm 36!)
It was really cool to see the progression of the piked tkatchev as it got closer to the bar -- and then you caught it! I am looking forward to watching as you work toward your new goal.
Great news!! I knew this was going to be the conclusion after everything and I couldn’t be happier!! So proud to be a part of your journey and so very honored you’ve included us!! Go get em girl!! You know you can!!
We are excited to see you keep going. I loved watching you with your kids this time most of all. You are an amazing mom, doing a concentrated hand stand, while talking to your son. Then redirecting him with turtles and getting whacked with pool noodles. Whatever you do, I will watch and cheer for you. We are here for you! And exciting about the new skills! I fully believe you will continue to add more and more!
You are really inspiring. I am 38 and have been feeling old but looking at you, I tell myself to be more active, age is really just a number. Congrats on your great achievement in the Championship. I hope you continue to have joy in gymnastics. I really love to see your smile and have fun. If you are trying for Worlds, I hope you enjoy every moment through the next journey. *A fan from far far away Singapore*
You are such an inspiration! Love seeing your kids loving the gym with you. Keep up the great work, and keep being uou. God made you pretty amazing! God bless you on your journey, and in your personal life.
Chellsie, your shaposh-half looks so much better with the new timing, and that piked tkatchev was amazing! So excited to see you continue to chase your gymnastics dream! Will be cheering for you at Worlds!
Everytime you post, how open and honest you are with everything from training to competition to how you feel about everything is just so incredible. We’re here behind you wherever your journey takes you and we’ll be waiting with baited breath to see you in competition again!❤️
So proud of you and so happy you are continuing on this journey. The sport is screaming for someone just like you. I hope this journey continues!! Would love to see you at worlds!! But I also would love to see it continue beyond that!! I’m just thinking with more time all the other new skills you can learn!! I know it’s three years from now but it would be so cool for you to try for 2024!!

I am so glad you are going to try for worlds! We still need to see and cheer for your gymnastics. That being said you owe us nothing and its been a gift to watch you again. I am here for every minute of it. Chell yeah! Memmel up!
OMG! Chellsie is back!!! Please keep the videos coming.
And remember, One Impossible thing at at time.
Go for it! We Love you!
(:)
Thank you for continuing your weekly videos. You rock and congrats on the new skill!
I’m so excited to be able to keep following your journey.
"I'll honestly never be a gymnast now" not with that attitude you won't, queen! unless there are physical or financial or other barriers, you could get started with gymnastics whenever you want! and you know what they call a person who does gymnastics? a gymnast
ez 👏
Love watching your journey!!! Can’t wait to see what is next! You are an inspiration to Moms everywhere!
You are just capable of so many new skills! I am so proud of you! Keep going!!!
It takes mental toughness to reset after a crappy workout day, and 1000x that to bounce back when it happens at a competition.
I am excited for you Chellsie you are truly gifted and a living inspiration. ❤️👍🏾
Gymnastics desperately needs a Masters Division. 23 and over.
I wish they'd have low levels for beginners, too.
@@fitthickchic6732 check out NAIGC!
Never give up. You are and always will be a champion!
I’m so proud of you for not giving up and just keep on going doing what you absolutely love no matter what happens. I love that! Japan Worlds 2021 here we come!
Yay Chellsie! We'll be here cheering you on as always. Keep up the spirit and good effort!
You inspire me as a 52 old woman…thank you and please know your impact on so many of us!
Great news!! I knew this was going to be the conclusion after everything and I couldn’t be happier!! So proud to be a part of your journey and so very honored you’ve included us!! Go get em girl!! You know you can!!
GO CHELLSIE! You’re a Champion to your family and your fans!
You are a true warrior, Chellsie! Total respect and admiration for you.
LOVE that your journey continues! God Bless you and your sweet family.
im so excited for worlds now!!! i hope u make it and enjoy it! love u girl
You are such an inspiration! Love seeing your kids loving the gym with you. Keep up the great work, and keep being uou. God made you pretty amazing! God bless you on your journey, and in your personal life.
You’re WONDERFUL, obviously, but a round of applause to your dad, too! The two of you have the most indomitable spirits, YEAH!
I was in tears watching you on tv. You were always an inspiration to me during my gymnastics career! Sending lots of love ❤️
You could hear from the cheers at the meet, you are the underdog that we are all rooting for. Keep going, we are here with you and support you 100%. Im even more excited to see where this is going to lead.
You're such a frickin awesome inspiration PERIOD! Mentally tuff, physical fitness. You're just a BEAST! LOVE YOU!🌹❣️ I really loved to see how comfortable your 2 children were to. Your son's casual hop on the trampoline to go get his toy. It's just incredible.
I hope this journey continues!! Would love to see you at worlds!! But I also would love to see it continue beyond that!! I’m just thinking with more time all the other new skills you can learn!! I know it’s three years from now but it would be so cool for you to try for 2024!!
you’re incredible. Absolute inspiration. I was GUTTED when they didn’t allow you to go to trials. Still have Mykayla to root for, but now I can still go along for the journey with you towards worlds! ❤️
