    Exercise content that isn't about losing weight or "looking good?" In this economy?? We love to see it. I've been cooped up and honestly depressed for so long that my body has seriously gotten even more out of shape than before, but this has inspired me to at least try some of these things 💚

    • @whachutalkinboutwillis

      Same here... Chellsie’s come back story is part of the reason I was motivated to get back into physical activity after feeling cooped up and depressed for months. Seeing someone do it for the challenge and the love of the sport just lit a fire under me. Just know that many of us out here are struggling just like you described. We are all doing the best we can. ❤️

    I can’t even do the toes up! My left foot is “dead” so I have no feeling in that foot plus a condition called CMT that screws up my nerves. I also broke that ankle in 2019 and have had two surgeries on it. I broke the top of my foot in three places, a break in each bone and two breaks in the actual ankle. I also have an artificial right hip that keeps dislocating so my movement’s are limited so I don’t throw it out again. Then I’ve had six or so surgeries on my abdomen and we are looking at another one. I love watching you to see what I used to be able to do.

    One song abs. Depending on how spicy you're feeling, you can make it a longer song, but I usually go somewhere in the 3 and a half minute range. The stretch set I do is actually really similar to the one you showed, but there's some different things you do that I'm going to have to try.

    I hope you don't mind me asking you this question, but how do you manage training when you get your period? How did you manage your period as a teenager and now as an adult in gymnastics? I wish that more athletes would open up more about this because I have had many friends who have given up their sport because of embarrasment/pain when it comes to their periods. I think that if more athletes talked openly about their periods maybe less girls would quit their sports when they see their role model not giving up.

    • @joyfuljaj
      @joyfuljaj 3 года назад +1

      I have been happy to see commenters sharing info about his on various dance videos. I think I saw a ballet video that covered period information. It would have been nice to know back when I was a teenager. I am glad at least to learn now that I was not alone with figuring out what to do. I do hope more will be discussed so girls don't feel shame or loneliness in dealing with normal stuff.

    some facts about Chellsie and why she's an unlucky gymnast:
    - She supposed to be on the team in 2004 olympics, because some gymnasts on the team was injured, but Team USA decided to keep this team
    - She won the silver medal on team final in 2006 and give up many finals cause she was injured, without injury she probably won the all-around title against Ferrari and probably let her became a second time the all around world champion.
    - 2008: during the olympics, she broke her ankle just before the competition, if she wasn't injured, she probably compete on the four events and help team USA to won the gold medal or try
    -2011: big comeback, she won the silver medal in all around on national and probably send in the tokyo world championship than alicia sacramone, but she injured her shoulder, she also declined the pan american
    -2012: USA Gymnastics refused to let her compete in the 2012 trials, if she keep her level from 2011, she probably replaced kyla ross on the 2012 olympics team (lead on bars), she didn't have the chance to accomplish her goal and finish her career one last time with her teammate Nastia, Alicia and Bri.
