I’ve had mine redshift for two years now, and what I love about it is that it makes a much safer ride, less nervous, but you can always go for challenging tracks without loosing any of the excitement. I’ve geared my gravel bike for comfort, long days, etc, and the redshift just complements that style very well… it’s like you say, everything just feels smoother.
I put a 30degree stem on my specialized Vado. I’m 185 pounds and in my 70s. And I’ve got hand arthritis. It’s a great product but keep in mind it’s really a ride smoothener, and not a shock absorber. it’s been great on roads with imperfections, but you’ll still feel big bumps. I’d definitely recommend this stem, with the caveats I mentioned.
Now try the Redshift suspension seat post. You will never ever want to go back to a rigid seat post. That thing is also a game changer. Especially when coupled with the stem.
Recently fitted the stem on my road bike, due to arthritis in wrists, only done a few 20 milers so far, on usual rubbish roads...results promising so far. 🤞 ,
A few guys in my cycling crew swear by the Redshift, so I picked one up during their scratch & dent sale and just installed it... Can't wait to get out and try it! Everyone I talk to says it's worth the hype.
Awesome! I'm not a weight weenie, but I was a bit concerned how heavy it felt out of the box. You do not feel it. Also, I'm about 188, and I left the stock polymers in there and test rode it as is. Felt great on gravel. If I used it strictly on a road bike I may have stiffened it up a bit to match my weight settings, but I've ridden 2x since the video on some chunky, climby stuff and it's awesome. Very happy with it. Keep me posted on your thoughts!
It's a little pricey, but I think it's definitely worth it. You really notice the difference in comfort during longer, endurance rides. I won't ride without one now.
@@BIIIKES Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm a newbie, and am trying to decide between a 29" hardtail, fat bike hardtail or rigid fat bike. I like the idea of no suspension to keep things simple, and therefore looking for other ways to add comfort.
I don't think you could go wrong with any of those. Personally, I would maybe lean towards the fat bike with the front fork (if you're truly set on owning a fat bike). You can always lock it out if you need to. A fully rigid fat bike is fun too though (what I own). These are called, "good problems." 😂🤘
@@BIIIKES Yesterday I rode 40 km from the store, and sazu understood this bike on the way home. He is quite agile like my former hard at 27.5 but at the same time he is almost as good as my jamis s3 i also sale this one jamis is big frame for me...
Hey Zeeb, I would say no, as gravel forks are usually about 30mm of travel. This"suspension" stem reduces the chatter and wrist fatigue you would normally get after a long ride. If you had say a RockShox Rudy fork, you would get the same thing, with the added benefit of maintaining grip and an even softer ride due to having actual suspension. I personally wouldn't double dip.
Ah, ok! I still wouldn't double dip with a suspension stem and fork. One or the other. I have a Trek FX hybrid (rigid fork) and I'm considering putting a Redshift on there for extra comfort too.

I agree! Thanks for the comment!
What tyres are you running?

Absolutely. I just did Unbound a few weeks ago and it definitely helped. I love it. Thanks for the comment!

It looks awesome, and I would love to try it some day! I can't give up my dropper post though. That's a must have for me.
It’s a total game changer. No joke! Doesn’t suck up your speed and power.
My wrists thank me every time I ride the rough stuff. 🙌🏼
Absolutely! I can't recommend this enough. Thanks for watching!
Ridden high end bikes for 30 years. A rare product thats a game changer off and on road. Wouldn’t ride without one now.
I agree with you! I've been really enjoying it for the last couple of months.

That's great!! I'm going to try and get out for a 25-30 miler tomorrow. I'm a fan of the stem so far also.
Installed one on one of my gravel bikes and absolutely love it.
Awesome! Same here

Thanks man! I'm almost ordered the stem via Amazon, but saw your comment and bought it on the scratch and dent sale.
@@andrewshmelyov Let me know if you like it or not. Good move with the scratch and dent sale.
@@BIIIKES Sure! BTW, thank you for the review, this is exactly what I wanted to know about these upgrades.

Is it worth it if you have some sort of suspension fork.

本来よりも1段階硬めのエストラマーを選択したほうが効果を発揮した
Effective for what? And "feel" is subjective to the user.
@@BIIIKES 何故か分からないけど、推薦される硬さよりも1段階上のエストラマーが自分にとってはより快適だった。そうです、私の主観を言いました。でもそれは他の人にも当てはまるかもしれないので、参考になればいいと思って言いました。
Very true. I went with the stock elastimers for a bit softer feel. I'll try and do a follow up where I mention that. Great comment!
