My neighbor friends in the 80s had a blue 63 4 door sedan that was lowered on factory wheels with baby moons , white walls and beauty rings. It also had glass packs on it but was stock otherwise. I got to drive it many times around town when they had it. It wasnt very fast but sounded great and was fun to cruise in. Took me a minute to get used to reverse being down though ! lol
Would be cool, if people would start considering 4-Doors desireable. If theyre crushed, theyre gone! Nice finds, i like the 63s, the right amount of straight lines combined with awesome front and backdesign. May i ask, what you had to pay for them?
My Dad had a white '63 Catalina (sedan). It was the first car I drove a lot - as a slightly irresponsible teenager. The 389 engine had a lot of pickup, even from 60mph. I got it up to 110 one Sunday morning in 1971, on the last stretch of 70S (now I270) before the Capital Beltway, a little north of the Maryland-DC line. That is still the fastest I've driven, although I came close in England in 1985.
Lucky you didn't drive through a building! Had a close call with a stuck throttle on a old station wagon. Almost went into a grocery store across the street from my grandma's trailer.😮😮😮😂😂😂
Love seeing the pontiacs you are saving, thanks for sharing. Do you ever sell parts? if so how do we reach out to you? I have a 66’ catalina convertible.
Star Chief was above Catalina and below Bonneville The Executive was the Star Chief replacement so it’s the same as the Star Chief in ranking Just a thought, be your own guy and stop sounding like Derek Beri!!🤪
Pretty cool finds Did the manual used to be an automatic it almost looks like there's a big hole where a column shifter would have went on that Pontiac?
You need a relay connected to the 12 volt ignition source and then on relay contacts use the heavy gauge wire to constant full 12 volt battery !! The HEI MUST have full 12 volts You are not going to get that from the wire that went to the points distributor! 6 degrees before TDC
Would you be selling any parts of this cars? I was eye balling the gear selector block off plate in the 3 speed manual car for my 63 4 door I’m building
That is a slim jim vent filter!! No vacuum goes to a slim jim!! The other transmission in the hardtop you had in the trunk is a super hydramatic Bonneville transmission NOT a slim jim

I have a lot of love for these Poncho 4 doors! Especially the flat-top cars!
I totalled a 63 out years ago. Loved that car!
It would be nice if people could keep these all original but nice cars.
I wouldn't have been mad if they still had points distributors in them!

Do you know where the Pontiac Executive falls into the Pontiac line up (model wise)? I keep asking around and nobody seems to know the answer.
I don't know honestly! I would also like to know where Star Chief fell in the ranking
Star Chief was above Catalina and below Bonneville
The Executive was the Star Chief replacement so it’s the same as the Star Chief in ranking

Did the manual used to be an automatic it almost looks like there's a big hole where a column shifter would have went on that Pontiac?
I forgot to confirm what it used to be. I’m not sure if it was an auto or 3 speed on the column originally
At 16:15 : Can't find 'em grind them!!😂😂😂😂😂😂🎉

Get a clutch fan too!!

Does it have a broken motor mount, so when you smash on the gas the engine lifts up and pulls the throttle open.
The plug wires were tight against the throttle linkage, but that would be a definite possibility!
Never heard of Niehoff?!? smh Old time manufacturer of replacement auto parts since 1923. Chicago and later Evanston IL.
Rear taillights looks like lincolns
Do you at this point when all is done , clean the engine bay so to speak?
I need to clean the whole car honestly!
That is a slim jim vent filter!!
No vacuum goes to a slim jim!!
The other transmission in the hardtop you had in the trunk is a super hydramatic Bonneville transmission NOT a slim jim
It’s not a modulator !!!!!
This is a 1961-64 only rotohydramatic aka slim jim
I'd find proper hubcaps
found them in the other car!!
Why not get a chain and pull it off. 😂
Too bad their 4 door....waste of time and money.
