Agreed! But I also think it will rise with the tide really well over time. They're currently priced on their traditional popularity, but it's hard to deny that Venusaur art.

I knew the zard was undervalued but focused on buying the cheaper illustration rares from 151. Not sure why my brain works like that

I’m the same way I want all the 151 ARs been getting all the cheap ones first, thank god I grabbed a zard on marketplace for $100 2 days ago 😭

I agree. I feel like this definitely is market manipulation I figured if we did not get reassurance or a solid answer on a reprint it was going to happen fast. Hell the PC Snorlax is around $92 currently so I figured the wave of manipulation was coming until a hopeful reprint happens.

As an owner of a full master set of 151 and a full PSA 10 collection of the 151 sirs starter pokemon i say wait because this set will most likely receive a reprint due to how popular it is.
This behaviour the only explanation is that an insider knows there won’t be a reprint of 151. This is great news.

It’s going insane literally all the sudden. I bought a PSA 10 Charmeleon IR in July for $85 and sold it this morning for $200 very very quickly (should have listed it for more !). WILD!

Got the sequential set for Charmander, Charmeleon, and Charizard all in a PSA 10 for 1024.95. Going for all the starter sequentials in PSA 10.

I am excited to say I got all my PSA 10s from 151 that I wanted when they were affordable. Also got a nice stash of sealed. It’s exiting to see what is happening.
For the longest time I did not understand why these cards were so cheap. I guess things always balance out eventually.

55-65 sales on tcg on the charizard just on the 14th alone . Ranging from 190-300 . Blew my mind .

I bought the big Mew Box sometime last year and still have it sealed. Any retro set imo(I'm not the smartest guy) is going to be huge in a few years just due to nostalgia alone. I'll buy 151 whenever i can, but i was lucky enough to get the Zard from a 3 pack poster collection at Wal Mart

Bought the Charizard #199 two weeks ago, PSA 10 English for $273 before taxes and shipping. So came out to just under $300 all said and done. I love the card too much to sell but wow, this is nuts.

I think 151 in the long run will be a very good investment. Even if reprint comes, it will not stop the uptrend over time. :)

A lot of local card stores just use tcgplayer to price their cards rather than updating the sticker price every so often. Unfortunate, but I get it. I might buy a 2nd Alakazam. That card is insanely undervalued imo

The weekend before last I lowball best offered basically every zard on ebay. I was expecting to pick up maybe one, possibly two. I ended up getting 5 for around 100 each (one for $94). At first I was a bit worried, bc I wasnt trying to drop 500 all at once, but now Im super glad I got them. All in good shape too, 1 or 2 of them could get a 10. I also bought 3 last year for about 115, and 2 japanese copies for I dont remember how much, but decently cheap. Ive been super lucky on these zards. I knew they would go up at some point, but dang, I timed these perfectly.

I believe in my mind that 151 will be greater than evo skies. I believe it will be second to base set in highest cost 10-15 years down the line. I will say 151 is more appealing than base set only because with the full arts imo

We see this time and time again. If you missed the boat, Now, is the possibly the worst time to buy.. Long stretches of stablility is what you want when it comes to buying, not feeding into manipulation or FOMO. 🧠

Question for you - I have a zard that looks like it maybe could grade a 10 but also could see it getting a 9...do you recommend selling now raw or hold because its value may continue to increase?
New to investing, mostly interested in 151. With that being said I broke down and bought the Charizard PSA 9 for $135 after trying to rip one for awhile. Would you refrain from getting a 9 vs a raw card? At the time they were close to the same price. Would you suggest just getting 10s when investing in graded stuff? Thanks

i went to my local store they had 2 there for a few weeks for $115 i purchased both no whitening at all possible 10s they will be going to psa and i also pulled 2 in one etb last year which i still have. 4 total i think ill sell 2 now and get a profit
All it takes is one raw gradable card to sell at an unprecedented price for the market to snowball around it. Because other sellers are going to match the price of stuff sold.

A question I have is, with all this hype surrounding 151, should we be looking even closer into investing in the Brilliant Stars alt zard for $130? What do you think ceiling is for that and cards like the hyper rare rainbow zard, Fates SAR zard, etc?

I grabbed a PSA 9 Sunzard for $122 last month and just this last week i bought Blastoise for $47, Venusaur for $49 and Zapdos for $42. I have a feeling all the big SIR are going to see big gains. Not Sunzard big but they will soar. Had to secure them now.

I love the Zard in this set, but I would change one thing to make it perfect: make his neck longer. He’s a little off model.
You got a phenomenal deal for the blastoise and venasaur. I’m excited to see this zard climb. I know it won’t last and I know most likely it’s manipulation, but I think this set and the zard will be a good hold along with sealed of course.

I got a $20 off coupon at my local shop. They have two PSA 10 Zapdos SIRs and a bunch of singles from 151. Should I go pick them up? Don’t want to FOMO but they do have a bunch. Only catch is they stick to market if you’re using a coupon

Love the bonus video! I was fortunate enough to pull 2 151 zards both with a great shot at 10 with PSA but I was skeptical to submit just because I don’t plan on selling them but I feel like I need to grade them now just to know I can legit say it’s a +$700 card in my collection 😂

I snagged a charizard for $160 to put in my master set. I just hope the rest of the set doesn’t go crazy before I can complete it. I’m not going to chase them all.

I never pulled the Sunzard, even with the way too many packs I opened. Ended up buying it raw along with a handful of others to complete out the master set. Same with JP, even got a god pack but of the Squirtle and Bulbasaur lines, but no Charizard.
Damn, my goal to collect all the SIRs /IRs in PSA 10 just got real expensive lol.
