Join Sky my trapped wild caught Passage Cooper's hawk and I as we attempt our first hunt with my English Setter. She defiantly puts on a show but not the targeted species we are after.

Ooooh, flying with slitted mews jesses is a BIG no...
my goodness coops seem high maintenance compared to a harris...are they worth the stress?
I think they would be a lot more fun if you had lots of quarry for them in your area. I should have trained her on starlings.

How hard is weight control with a Cooper's
It's definitely harder than a red tailed hawk especially in Ontario with temperature fluctuations but once you dial it in it's pretty straight forward. I plan on doing a video on weight control soon
