The prosecution and defense delivered opening statements in Karen Read's trial in Massachusetts on Monday. Read is accused of killing her boyfriend, Boston police officer John O'Keefe, with her SUV during a snowstorm in 2022. She has pleaded not guilty to multiple charges, including second-degree murder.
